Do not wear mixed fabrics! And the power of Linen!

This is a topic that gets overlooked because people often do not think about the clothes they put on, because you cover yourself up on go on your way. As always let’s examine scripture and see what YHWH says:

Leviticus 19:19

“Guard My Laws. Do not let your livestock mate with another kind. Do not sow your field with mixed seed. And do not put a garment woven of two sorts of thread upon you.”

Deuteronomy 22:11

“Do not put on a garment of different kinds, of wool and linen together.”

In Leviticus our Father YHWH says do not wear a garment woven of two sorts of thread upon you and we already know that the world does the exact opposite of what YHWH says! So almost every garment you see even in our society today down to socks are combined of different fabrics; take a look at the labels on your shirts and socks and you will find a percentage of all the materials used; and you will more than likely see blends of up to two to four kinds of different fabrics. The fabrics can be anything such as cotton, wool, silk, acrylic, polyester, rayon, spandex etc. The industry has produced so many of these items that you will have to special order your garments and socks that are 100% one fabric. I personally choose to wear 100% linen garments, pants, hats and socks.

As for the command to not mix linen and wool together is there a reason for this?

Notice YHWH mentions linen and wool by name in Deuteronomy to not wear a garment with these two fabrics, but in Leviticus He says do not wear any different blend at all? As for linen and wool they have the highest atomic frequency signature of any fabric totaling 5,000, so when you combine the two together they cancel each other out to “0”.

A doctor named Heidi Yellen did a study on fabrics and this was the conclusion: The human body has a signature frequency of 100 and organic cotton is 100; therefore, you don’t want to wear a garment under 100 that is lower than the frequency of the human body. A sickly nearly dead person has a frequency of 15 and materials such as polyester, rayon, silk, and spandex register at a 15. Science proves that any fabric worn that has a frequency less than the 100 our bodies puts a strain on us which causes disease, inflammation and other sicknesses. The only super fabrics are wool and linen both measuring in at 5,000 which energizes the body and helps fight disease.

Times linen is mentioned in Scripture:

Exodus 28:8

“And the embroidered band of the shoulder garment, which is on it, is of the same workmanship, made of gold, of blue and purple and scarlet, and FINE WOVEN LINEN.” Verse 39 “And you shall weave the long shirt of FINE LINEN, and shall make the turban of FINE LINEN, and you shall make the girdle of woven work.”

Daniel 10:4-6

“And on the twenty-fourth day of the first-month, while I was by the side of the great river, that is Hiddeqel, then I lifted my eyes and looked and saw a certain man dressed in LINEN, who loins were girded with gold of Uphaz! And his body was like beryl, and his face like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes like torches of fire, and his arms and feet like polished bronze in appearance, and the sound of his words like the sound of a crowd.”

Ezekiel 9:1-2

“And He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, “Let the punishers of the city draw near, each with his weapon of destruction in his hand.” And look, six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-axe in his hand. And one man in their midst was clothed with LINEN and had a writer’s ink horn at his side. And they came in and stood beside the bronze altar.”

Proverbs 31:21-24

“She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household is dressed in scarlet. She shall make tapestry for herself; she is dressed in FINE LINEN and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. She shall make FINE LINEN and sell them.”

1 Chronicles 15:27

“And David was dressed in a robe of FINE LINEN, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Kenanyah the leader of the service with the singers. And David wore a LINEN shoulder garment.”

John 19:40

“Then they took the body of YESHUA, and bound it in LINEN wrappings with the spices, as was the habit of the Jews for burial.”

John 20:6-7

“Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. And he saw the LINEN wrappings lying, and the cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but folded up in a place by itself.”

Revelations 15:6

“And out of the Tabernacle came the seven messengers (angels) having the seven plagues, dressed in CLEAN BRIGHT LINEN, and having their chests girded with golden bands.”

Revelation 19:7-8

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife prepared herself. And to her it was given to be dressed in FINE LINEN, clean and bright, for the FINE LINEN IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE SAINTS.” Verse 13-14 and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood-and His Name is called: The Word of YHWH. And the armies in the heavens, dressed in FINE LINEN, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.”

Firstly, we notice how none of the above mentioned wore any mixed fabrics? It was all linen! Secondly, YESHUA was buried in linen, the armies of the heavens and the angels wore linen, and linen represents the righteousness of the saints. Now let’s discuss the benefits of linen.

Facts about linen:

1.      Sleeping in linen helps people fall asleep faster and deeper

2.      Improves mood

3.      Considered holy attire

4.      Made of flax

5.      Protects humans from gamma and solar radiation by nearly half; and protects against chemical exposure. This is very important because I want everyone to think of 5G radiation and what it does to the cells of the body. Linen helps provide protection.

6.      Rapid healing from surgeries and other ailments which would explain why hospitals use linen for their beds.

7.      Resistant to fungus and bacteria

8.      Barrier to some diseases

9.      Regulates body temperature, it insulates in the cold, and cool and breathable when it’s warm.

10.  Decreases skin disease

11.  Reduces inflammation and reduces fevers

12.  Cures neurological ailments

13.  More durable than cotton and 2 to 3 times stronger

14.  Helps to repair body by harmonizing with cells

15.  Linen is the only fabric that is accepted internally in the human body and clothstudo.ca says that the Egyptians also used it for bandages.

16.  High air permeability: linen breathes naturally, research shows that those who wear linen sweat 1.5 less than those who wear cotton and 2 times less than those wearing synthetic fabric like rayon. Which would explain why YHWH wanted His priests to wear linen when they served in the Tent of Appointment. Ezekiel 44:18 “They shall have LINEN turbans on their heads and linen trousers on their bodies, they shall not GIRD THEMSELVES WITH SWEAT.”

Facts about wool:

1.      Reduces pain of fibromyalgia by 84%

2.      Reduces depression by 64% and fatigue by 80%

3.      Regulates body temperature leading to less strain on joints and muscles

4.      Helps improve sleep especially stage 4 REM sleep

5.      Composed of the same protein that makes up the outer protective layer of our skin and works in harmony with the body.

6.      Can absorb and wick away up to 30% of its weight in moisture, sweat less, and helps our bodies to remove moisture

7.      Resistant to mildew and mold and helps diabetics with relief of their conditions

8.      Reduces bed sores

9.      Reduces patient healing time

10. Durable, fire retardant

11. Resists static, dirt and dust

So we can see that these two super fabrics that our Father YHWH have given us and have many benefits, just remember not to combine linen and wool together.

Deuteronomy 22:11

“Do not put on a garment of different kinds, of wool and linen together.”

YHWH commands us not to wear a garment with mixed fabrics as we see occurring in clothes all over the world as the world goes further and further away from YHWH. Our Father YHWH is all about perfection and He wants us wear 100% of one fabric.

The Lunar Sabbath DECEPTION!

We have already discussed the deception of those who claim the Sabbath or a day is from morning to morning! Scripture reveals to us that the Sabbath and a day is from evening to evening! The other deception that is circulating is the Lunar Sabbath that claims the Sabbath is not on a consecutive 7 day cycle of six days of work and rest on the 7th Day.

What is the Lunar Sabbath?

This is when observers will not honor the weekly 7th Day Sabbath, but will use the MOON to determine when a new week begins and ends. They believe that the Sabbath falls on certain days each month (8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th etc), instead of sticking with an uninterrupted 7 day cycle. Therefore, by using the moon the Sabbath can fall in ANY DAY of the week instead of the 7th Day Sabbath.

Other say they believe in the Lunar Sabbath because Saturday is from Babylon; therefore there is no way that Saturday can be correct. Well, we have to remember that all the pagans did was change the name of the week from Sabbath to Saturday, the only thing that changes is the name NOT the 7th Day that it falls on! Furthermore, all the names of the days of the week and the months are names of Roman pagan deities on the current Gregorian calendar that the world follows today. Just because they change the name doesn’t neglect where the day falls.

 I want everyone to keep in mind about using the phases of the moon as the guide because Jubilees says:

Jubilees 6:33-37

“But if they neglect and do not observe them according to His Command, then they shall disturb all their seasons, and the years shall be dislodged from this order, and they shall NEGLECT THEIR LAWS. And all the children of Yisra’el shall forget, and shall not find the path of the years, and shall forget the new moons, and seasons, and SABBATHS, and they shall go astray as to all the order of the years. For I know, and from this time on I shall declare it to you, and it is not of my own devising; for the Book is written before me. And on the tablets of the heavens the division of days is ORDAINED, lest they forget the Festivals of the Covenant and walk according to the festivals of the gentiles after their straying and after their ignorance. For there shall be THOSE WHO SHALL ASSUREDLY MAKE OBSERVATIONS OF THE MOON-NOW IT DISTURBS THE SEASONS and comes in from year to year TEN DAYS TOO SOON. For this reason the years shall come upon them when they shall DISTURB THE ORDER, and make an abominable day the day of witness, and an unclean day a feast day, and they confuse ALL THE DAYS, the holy, the holy with the unclean, and the unclean day with the holy; for they shall go astray as to the months AND SABBATHS AND Festivals and Jubilees.”

The messenger (angel) of the presence that YHWH told to instruct Moses tells him that there will be people who observe the moon which disturbs the seasons and go astray to SABBATHS, Festivals, and Jubilees and that they would confuse all the days! That is exactly what is going on with this current deception and this is further evidence that there is no Lunar Sabbath. The moon is a signal for Appointed Times and shows the completion of a month:

Enoch 78:14

“On the side where the light of the moon comes forth, there again she diminishes till all the light vanishes and ALL THE DAYS OF THE MONTH ARE AT AN END, and her circumference is EMPTY, void of light.”

So when you see the half moon and the full moon it is not by accident, but by the design our ELOHIM to know when a month ends and begins.

Sirach 43:6-7

“He made the moon also to serve in its season for Appointed Times, and a sign for the world. From the moon is the sign of FEASTS, a light that decreases in its completion.”

And we see in Leviticus 23 that The Sabbath Day is mentioned with all the other Appointed times and YHWH tells us exactly when to observe them. Notice the instructions for the Sabbath are spelled out by YHWH saying that you work six days and rest on the 7th Day consistently and is not based on the moon. The Sabbath occurs every week whereas the other Appointed Times occur once a year at their Appointed Times. The other Appointed Times He instructs us Passover 14th Day of 1st month, Feast of Unleavened Bread 15th Day of 1st month etc.

How are you calculating Shavuot (Pentecost) with Lunar Sabbath?

Leviticus 23:15-16

“And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: SEVEN COMPLETED SABBATHS. Until the morrow after the SEVENTH SABBATH you county FIFTY DAYS, then you shall bring a new grain offering to YHWH.”

So we see that YHWH says to calculate Shavuot (Pentecost) by counting seven completed Sabbaths in other words 50 consecutive days to get to Shavuot, which is an indicator the Sabbath Day is on a 7 Day weekly cycle. Those observing the Lunar Sabbath would have to wait for the phase of the moon causing them to miss the consecutive 50 day count. Or they would be counting more than 50 days being that their Sabbath could fall on the 8th day or any day during the week etc.

The cycle for 7 day pattern established

Genesis 2: 2-3

“And on the seventh day ELOHIM completed His work which He had done and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He made. And ELOHIM blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all His work which ELOHIM in creating had made.”

And our Creator gave us the pattern, for us follow the same example just as He did by commanding us to work 6 days and rest on the 7th day:

Exodus 20:8-11

“Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it. Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of YHWH your ELOHIM. And you do not do any work- you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor you female servant, not your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days YHWH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.”

Exodus 31:15

“Six days work is done, and on the SEVENTH is a Sabbath of rest, holy to YHWH. Everyone doing work on the Sabbath day shall certainly be put to death.”

Exodus 34:21

“Six days you work, but on the SEVENTH day you rest-in ploughing time and in harvest time”

Deuteronomy 5:13-14

“Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, but the SEVENTH day is a Sabbath to YHWH your ELOHIM. You do not do any work…”

As we see the seventh day Sabbath is ONE day out of the week that YHWH blessed and sanctified; therefore, this blessing does not apply to any day anyone feels the Sabbath lands on based on observance of the moon. Notice YHWH doesn’t say six days work is done but the Sabbath look for the New Moon to determine if it’s the seventh day for the Sabbath. Our Father is not the author of confusion. YHWH even drives this point home with the same cycle for the Sabbath rest for the land:

Leviticus 25:1-6

“And YHWH spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, “Speak to the children of Yisra’el, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the LAND shall observe a Sabbath to YHWH. Six years you sow your field, and six years you prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruit, but in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath of rest, a Sabbath to YHWH. Do not sow your field and do not prune your vineyard. Do not reap what grows of its own of your harvest, and do not gather the grapes of your unpruned vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. And the SABBATH of the land shall be to you for food, for you and your servant, and your female servant and your hired servant, and for the stranger who sojourns with you, and for the livestock and the beasts that are in your land. All its crops are for food.”’

Are you noticing the pattern that our Father YHWH sets? He created all things in SIX days and rested on the SEVENTH day, He told us to do work for SIX days and rest on the SEVENTH day just as He did, and then He told the children of Yisra’el to sow, reap, and gather from the land for SIX years, but let the land rest in the SEVENTH year! YHWH doesn’t make the counting confusing, it’s pretty straightforward what He expects us to do through His instructions. There is no Lunar Sabbath calculation for the Sabbath rest for the land because we know that is a command to be taken literally, just as the weekly 7th Day Sabbath is to be taken literally.

6th day parallel with 6th year!

Exodus 16:25-29

“And Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to YHWH, today you do not find it in the field. GATHER IT SIX DAYS, but on the SEVENTH DAY, which is the Sabbath, there is none.” And it came to be that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. And YHWH said to Moses, “How long shall you refuse to guard My Commands and My Torot (Plural form of Torah)? “See, because YHWH has given you the Sabbath, therefore He is giving you bread for TWO DAYS ON THE SIXTH DAY…”

Leviticus 25:20-21

“And since you might say, “What do we eat in the SEVENTH YEAR, since we do not sow nor gather in our crops? Therefore I have commanded My blessing on you in the SIXTH YEAR, and it shall bring forth the crop for three years.”

YHWH gave TWICE as much manna on the SIXTH day, so they could rest on the Sabbath the seventh day, the same way He gave THREE years of crop blessings in the SIXTH YEAR, so the land could observe its Sabbath in the seventh year. YHWH does not do anything just to be doing it, He wants his people to establish a pattern and was teaching them the continuous, uninterrupted 7 day cycle; and to trust in His provisions that He will provide and not break His weekly 7th Day Sabbath or 7th year land of rest.

New Moons are separate from Sabbath

Isaiah 66:23

“And it shall be that from New moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares YHWH.”

Ezekiel 46:1

“Thus said the Adon (Master) YHWH, “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, AND on the day of the New Moon it is opened.”

Notice how YHWH separates the two and doesn’t say on the Lunar Sabbath all flesh shall worship me? He says Sabbath to Sabbath and New moon to new moon; therefore, completely distinguishing between the two. And the scripture from Ezekiel clears it up even further as we see YHWH says the gate is opened on the Sabbath AND on the day of the New Moon, so there is no mixing the two at all.

Is Weave (Hair extensions) sacrificed to demons?

Enoch 19:1

“And Uriel said to me, “Here shall stand the messengers (angels) who have connected themselves with women (Genesis 6)-and their spirits assuming MANY DIFFERENT FORMS are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into SACRIFICING TO DEMONS AS MIGHTY ONES-till the day of the great judgment in which they shall be rightly-ruled till they are made an end of.”

Fake eye lashes, magnetic eyelashes, and fake nails all qualify as artificial beauty as we discussed in detail last week. As for wearing weave, hair extensions, sewins, or wigs be careful because many reports say in India, where most weave comes from, has been sacrificed to idols/demons/pagan deities in their temples. They shave their heads bald for the “deity of beauty”, then then pray for whatever they want, which happens to be financial security. Plus, they say that “all of the bad energy will be in the hair.”

So when you place hair on your head that does not belong to you, you could possibly be taking on the spirit of someone else and allowing the demonic forces legal entry into your body and or home. This would make one unclean by having something unholy with a spirit of a demon being on the head of a believer. The risk of artificial beauty isn’t worth demonic possession or giving Satan a foot hold in your life. Later in this article you will see articles written about this subject and it is not to be taken lightly.

Deuteronomy 32:17

“They slaughtered to demons –not ELOAH (ELOHIM) - mighty ones they did not know, new ones who came lately, which your ancestors did not reverence.”

1 Corinthians 10:19

“What then do I say? That an idol is anything? Or that which is offered to idols is anything? No, but what the gentiles offer they offer to demons and not to ELOHIM, and I do not want you to become sharers with demons.”

Revelation 2:14

“But I hold a little against you, because you have there those who adhere to the teaching of Bil’am who taught Balak to put a stumbling-before the children of Yisra’el, to eat offerings to idols, and to commit whoring.”

Revelation 2:20

“But I hold against you that you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and lead My servants astray to commit whoring and to eat offerings to idols.”

Though the scripture in Revelation are about food sacrificed to idols we can see how He feels about things that are sacrificed to demons. Why? They are the opposite of who He is and we are called to walk like Him.

Leviticus 19:1-2

“And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to all the congregation of Yisra’el, and say to them, ‘Be holy, for I YHWH your ELOHIM am holy.”

Mathew 5:48

“Therefore, be perfect, as your Father in the heavens is perfect.”

1 John 2:6

“The one who says he stays in Him out himself also to walk, even as He walked.”

How many sisters wear hair weaves sacrificed to idol gods? How many sisters come to the church house with weaves sacrificed to idols? Let's explore the ramifications of a sister in the church wearing a weave of human hair that was sacrificed to idol gods. I remember a couple years ago when my older sister was preaching.  Right in the middle of her sermon, the Holy Spirit told her to tell the sisters in the congregation to be careful where they get their hair weaves from, because some of the human hair had been sacrificed to idols.  About a week later my sister's friend was watching an episode of National Geographic in which they did a story about women in India who sacrifice their hair to idols.  Their sacrificed hair was then sold for profit.  This was confirmation of the Word given by my sister.

In India hair is a big export to the United States.  It brings in millions of dollars to the Hindu temples whose worshipers come to the temple to sacrifice their hair.
In 2006 it was estimated roughly that $82 million of human hair from India is exported to the United States, and that India is one the biggest exporters of human hair in the world (source). The hair is taken from the Indian temples, then shipped to factories in China, where they are mixed with Chinese hair to form wigs and hair extensions for the Western markets.  The hair is then exported to lucrative salon businesses in the USA where these merchants and wig makers most prize the usually long, dark, silky hair.

Hollywood is even impacted by the Indian hair market.  On the most part, hair that is sacrificed at the temple ends up as hair extensions on Hollywood actresses.  The final cost?  Three thousand dollar a pop. It is obvious that the sale of human hair is a lucrative business.  However, it also fuels revenue into these pagan Hindu temples.  Forget about the price of looking good, it's financially aiding and arming a false religion! 

In the Hindu faith it is a testament that men and women shave their hair in the temple. Pilgrims make their way from surrounding areas to offer up their hair. A good of example of this in the Indian city of Tripalu.  An estimated 20 million pilgrims each year and offer up hair sacrifices to the god Vishnu.  It costs about $120 million per year to maintain the temple and most of the revenue to support it comes from the sale of human hair).
One of the main reasons why people sacrifice their hair is because they have no money to give to the gods.  Instead, they offer their hair as a sacrifice.  Temples usually make $200 to $300 per kilogram of sacrificed hair that goes to a middle man.  The money is then used to support pilgrims and community programs”

Another witness with an article posted in 2011 from Agence France Presse writes:

Indian sacrifices keep the West supplied with hair extensions

Hair is offered as a sacrifice in temples across India, to give thanks or to ask the gods for help - and that hair is then sold on to make wigs and hair extensions in the West in a business worth Dh735m a year.

CHENNAI // Strong religious belief and spirituality, coupled with sky-rocketing demand from western women, have made India the world leader in the hair extension trade.

The country has long been the world's biggest exporter of human hair, and companies involved in the sector estimate that the business is worth up to 8.5 billion rupees (Dh735 million) a year.

Hair is offered as a sacrifice to the hundreds of thousands of gods in the Hindu pantheon for reasons as diverse as seeking to ward off ill-health to wanting to bring luck and fortune.

The practice is common in southern India, especially at temples in Tamil Nadu state, where people from all over the country come to be shaved.

But those in the hair trade that feed off the ritual fear for the future, as modern India changes on the back of its recent economic boom, opening up the vast country to more secular, consumerist pursuits and outside influences.

George Cherian, the chief executive of Raj Hair International in the state capital, Chennai, said: "There has been a change or trend in the reduction of the younger generation going to the temple and tonsuring their hair. They might cut their hair length half-way through but not necessarily fully shave their hair."

For now though, business remains brisk. On a religious festival day, up to 1,000 people, including 50 to 60 women, undergo the ritual at the Tiruttani temple north of Chennai.

Indian women like Anandi Perumalswamy are the mainstay of the industry, even if their lives are a world away from the fancy salons in the United States and Europe, where demand for hair extensions is highest.

"Our favorite god is Lord Muruga. We had lots of problems, like debt, many types of problems," said Perumalswamy, a 45-year-old mother of two.

"I had prayed for my son to get married. I had promised that if he gets married, then I would offer my hair."

The marriage took place a few months ago and so she came to Tiruttani to uphold her part of the bargain.

Tonnes of tresses are cut every day and mostly sold at auction to wholesalers, which then prepare and export them for use across the world.

The practice has even become a lucrative sideline for temples, who use the money raised for charitable activities. Some suppliers have also gone into business themselves, cutting out the need for wholesalers.

Should women wear makeup or High-Heels?

This is not a popular topic but it is an important one that must be discussed because some may be unaware of what scripture says about this. This is not to judge anyone, but to raise awareness about the situation out of love. I pray that you read this entire article before drawing a conclusion because it’s important to understand the ways of the world that must be unlearned. So we will examine scripture to see what ELOHIM’s word says:

Enoch 8:1-3 says:

“And Azazel (fallen angel) taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them, the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of ANTIMONY, BEAUTIFYING OF EYELIDS, and all kinds of costly stones and COLORING TINCTURES (dye or pigment). And there arose much wickedness, and they committed whoring, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all of their ways.”

Antimony- Used in antiquity as eyeliner and mascara, today antimony finds uses in fire retardants, car batteries and bullets. Antimony is one of the elements known since ancient times. Antimony sulfide (stibnite) was ground into a powder called kohl which could then be used as an eye cosmetic.Jul 28, 2019 compoundchem.com

The Egyptians used antimony in the form of stibnite for black eye make-up which is from the same compound from the definition above from compoundchem.com.  The very same one the fallen angel taught usage of.  “The use of cosmetics is very ancient. Evidence of the use of eye makeup and aromatic ointments has been found in Egyptian tombs dating to 3500 BC… “By the 1st century AD the Egyptian, Roman, Greek and Middle Eastern cultures had developed cosmetics such as powders to whiten the skin; kohl to darken the eyelids, eyelashes, and eyebrows; rouge for the cheeks…” (Encyclopedia Britannica, Vol. 5, p. 196).   So we can see where the origin of make-up and eye liner come from; and the ancient Egyptians continued its usage in their culture, just as the world is today, so there is truly nothing new under the sun: Ecclesiastes 1:9     “What has been is what shall be, what has been done is what shall be done, and there is none new under the sun. Is there a matter of which it is said, “See, this is new? It was here already, long ago.”   Make-up is applied to actors, actresses, and news anchors both male and female. I know there are many who like to wear make-up or others who say “what if they put it on modestly so you don’t even notice it?” Personally, knowing the origin of make-up I would not encourage any woman to do so. I’m not saying women are doing this intentionally to look like harlots or that women are doing this intentionally to be evil or seduce men, because some women honestly don’t know. The intention is for this to be a wake- up call to all believers in YESHUA! Enoch 9:6 “You see what Azazel has done, who has taught all UNRIGHTEOUSNESS on earth and revealed the ETERNAL SECRETS which were in the heavens, which men were STRIVING TO LEARN.” Believers in YESHUA need to be modest and not draw any unnecessary attention to themselves. We are called to be separate and not be a part of this world and its ways.   1 Peter 3:1-3 “In the same way, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that if any are disobedient to the Word, they, without a word, might be won by the behavior of their wives, having seen your blameless behavior in reverence. Your world should not be OUTWARD-arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on dresses...”   Peter is saying for women to concentrate on their inner character and not putting emphasis on their outer appearance to draw attention to themselves causing a distraction. Be meek and modest so the inner character of righteousness will shine through. Other witnesses against make up?  

Mathew 18:16

“But if he does not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word might be established.”

John 5:31-32

“If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true.”

We must base everything off of witnesses and weigh the evidence and then side with the most witnesses. Many people reject the Book of Enoch without ever reading it or comparing it with the 66 Book canon. However, there are several scriptures agreeing with Enoch that witness against the beautifying of eyelids, antimony, mascara and eyeliner:

Ezekiel 23:1-6

“And the word of YHWH came to me, saying, “Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother. And they WHORED in Egypt, they WHORED in their youth. There their breasts were handled, and there their maiden nipples were squeezed. And their names were: Oholah and the elder Oholibah her sister. And they were Mine, and they bore sons and daughters. And their names: Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem is Oholibah. And Oholah whored while she was Mine. And she lusted for her lovers, the neighboring Assyrians, dressed in purple, officers and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses. Verse 11 and her sister Oholibah saw this, yet she became more corrupt in her lust than she, and in her whorings more corrupt than her sister’s whorings.” Verse 17-19 And the Babylonians came to her, into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whorings. And she was defiled by them, and her being turned from them in disgust. And she uncovered her whorings and uncovered her nakedness. Then I turned My being from her in disgust, as My being had turned from her sister in disgust and she increased her whorings remembering the days of her youth, when she whored in the land of Egypt. Verse 39-40 For when they had slain their children for their idols, on the same day they came into My Sanctuary to profane it. And see, that is what they did in the midst of My House. And THEY EVEN SENT FOR MEN to come from afar, to whom a messenger was sent. And see, they came- for whom you washed yourself, PAINTED YOUR EYES, and adorned yourself with ornament. Verse 43-44 then I said concerning the one worn out in adulteries, ‘Now let them commit her whorings, even hers! And they went in to her, as men go in to a woman who is a whore. Thus they went in to Oholah and Oholibah, the wicked women.”

So we the metaphor of Samaria and Jerusalem as women, but YHWH shows how they committed adultery, were wicked and whored with many lovers; and then He says that they even SENT FOR MEN to come to them just like a prostitute waiting for the next transaction; and they painted their faces in advance as part of the what they did to allure other nations/men, seduction for harlotry purposes. Solomon and the Book Sirach agree with eye paint used for this purpose:

Proverbs 6:23-25 says

“For the Command is a lamp, And the Torah a light, and reproofs of discipline a way of life, to guard you against an evil woman, from the flattering tongue of a strange woman. Do not desire her prettiness in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her EYELIDS.

YHWH said the adulteress women with painted eyes were wicked and Solomon says the adulteress woman with painted eyelids is evil, because of their actions and appearance.

Sirach 26:9 (Included in 1611 King James Bible)

“The whoring of a woman is known by her HAUGHTY LOOKS AND EYELIDS.”

Proverbs 6:16-17

“These six YHWH hates, and seven are an abomination to Him: A PROUD LOOK, a lying tongue, and hands shedding innocent blood, a heart devising wicked schemes, feet quick to run to evil, a false witness breathing out lies, and one who causes strife among brothers.”

Notice how YHWH says He hates a proud look? It takes most women hours to put make-up on to get ready so they can enhance their eyes/facial features. Doesn’t this apply to a proud look or vanity by one spending so time in the mirror to apply paint perfectly?

The definition of vanity is- excessive PRIDE in or admiration of one’s own appearance or achievements. The word pride is used in the definition of vanity which is one of the things YHWH hates.

I think it’s interesting to note that Oxfordstudent.com adds: “In 1700s, Parliament declared that women who seduced men into marriage through the use of makeup could have their marriages annulled as well as face witchcraft charges: “All women of whatever age, rank, profession or degree, whether virgins, maids or widows, that shall, from and after such Act, impose upon, seduce and betray into matrimony any of His Majesty’s subjects, by the scents, paints, cosmetic washes, artificial teeth, false hair, Spanish wool, iron stays, hoops, high-heeled shoes or bolstered hips, shall incur the penalty of the law in force against witchcraft and the like misdemeanors and [their] marriage[s], upon conviction, shall become null and void.”

This shows the extreme constraints women were put under. If even wearing “high-heeled shoes” led to being punished as a witch, there was not much enhancement and freedom to use cosmetics (or anything). Men, as delicate little flowers, obviously needed to be protected from “bolstered hips” and too nice “scents”.

Quick note about high-heel shoes is that they were originally created for men! So I think its interesting to note that in England even the high-heeled shoes were forbidden for a woman due to witchcraft.

YHWH tells us in Deuteronomy 22:5

“A woman does not wear that which pertains to a man, nor does a man put on a woman’s garment, for whoever does this is an abomination to YHWH your Elohim.”

What if we told you that high heels were originally made exclusively for men? In a time when stilettos and platforms are often associated with female style and female sexuality, that fact might come as a surprise — but it shouldn’t. In fact, for decades high heels found their place on the feet of male soldiers, aristocrats and even royals in differing parts of the globe for very specific reasons. And when it comes to the surprising history of heeled shoes, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The origin of high-heels can be traced back to 15th century Persia when soldiers wore them to help secure their feet in stirrups. Persian migrants brought the shoe trend to Europe, where male aristocrats wore them to appear taller and more formidable.

The pedestal-like chopine of the late 15th to the early 17th centuries transformed the upper-class European woman into a towering figure. Especially popular in Venice, the shoes were so exceptionally high — sometimes up to 54 cm — that maids were used as crutches. Chopines were completely hidden under skirts. The higher the footwear, the more cloth was required for the dress, another indication of status.

Satan has always been at work to reverse the commands of YHWH! YHWH has Shabbats and Satan has sabbats, YHWH has Sukkot, Satan has thanksgiving, YHWH says man is head of the household, but most women are now the head of households. So taking this tactic he made something that men wore first and made it popular for the feet of a woman.

(Article continued) The culture of Victorian England had bloomed with a craze for nature and natural beauty in 1800s. As a result, lipstick and makeup were highly condemned. Queen Victoria herself declared makeup “impolite” publicly, and it became socially unacceptable for all but prostitutes and actresses.”

 In the 1700’s in England we see how they viewed make up and high-heels being viewed as something that prostitutes and witches wore; and could even face witchcraft charges. And if they lured a man into marriage using any of these tactics that their marriage would be voided/annulled. As for the high heels it appears that platform shoes on men in the 70’s had it right all along. Once high heels were switched for women to wear they started designing them to make a woman walk a certain way, draw attention to her legs, make her backside stick out, and twist the hips to cause a distraction.

2 Kings 9:30 correlates to what Solomon said in proverbs about paint on the eyes which says:

“And Yahu came to Yizre’el, and Jezebel heard of it. And she PUT PAINT ON HER EYE’s and adorned her head and looked through a window.”

Jezebel put on make up/mascara on her eye lids to draw attention to herself and attempt to seduce Yahu (Jehu) thinking this would prevent him from killing her.

Jezebel’s name literally means “exalted of Ba’al” and we know that Ba’al (Numbers 25 is an example of this) he was a pagan deity the children of Israel worshipped to provoke YHWH to anger, whom they sacrificed their children in the fire for economic gain, the pagan deity mentioned more than any other deity in scripture. Therefore, Jezebel is not being exalted by our Father YHWH but by the enemy. This makes sense with why everyone is familiar with the phrase “She has the Jezebel spirit.” And we all know that there is nothing positive about this phrase.

Do believers in YESHUA want to participate in any activity that Jezebel did?

We are created in our ELOHIM’s image

Our ELOHIM created us in His own image; therefore, we do not need to change our appearance with a mask or any other artificial enhancement. Satan hates the fact that we are created in ELOHIM’s image and  when he sees us he is reminded of our Father whom he rebelled against; therefore, he wants you destroyed at all costs and wants you to cover up who you are with an artificial mask. The word mascara in Spanish means mask or stain, maschera in Italian means mask, and in Portuguese mascara means mask, soot or black smear.

Sabbath is EVENING TO EVENING: When does a day start?

Just like the Lunar Sabbath deception that claims the Sabbath is not on a continuous seven day cycle, is also a movement circulating saying the Sabbath is from morning to morning. Now, firstly I would like to say that the only reason this is an issue is because everyone is seeking the truth and no one wants to be deceived. However, let us examine scripture to see what the Word of YHWH says:

Genesis 1:1-5

“In the beginning ELOHIM created the heavens and the earth. And the earth came to be formless and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of ELOHIM was moving on the face of the waters. And ELOHIM said, “Let light come to be,” and light came to be. And ELOHIM saw the light, that it was good. And ELOHIM separated the light from the darkness. And ELOHIM called the light ‘day’ and the darkness He called ‘night’. And there came to be EVENING and there came to be morning, day one.”

Notice how evening comes before morning, the scripture does not say there came to be morning and then evening. This means that evening constitutes 12 hours of darkness and morning is the 12 hours of day including the afternoon etc; then the cycle repeats. The Book of Jubilees which gives us a detailed account of Genesis says:

Jubilees 2:2

“…and of all the spirits of His creatures which are in the heavens and on the earth, the abysses and the darkness, EVENING AND NIGHT, and the LIGHT, dawn and day, which He has prepared in the knowledge of His heart.”

We see the exact order of evening and night first, THEN light, then dawn (morning) and day, then the cycle repeats. The same pattern is seen with our walk with The Messiah YESHUA because we start off in the darkness of lies and paganism until He leads us into the truth of the Light of His Word though the Ruach ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit). Trust me YHWH doesn’t do anything by accident there is a reason for His grand design even down to the order of days.

Make no mistake YHWH and YESHUA are LIGHT and there is no darkness in Them:

1 John 1:5

“And this message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that ELOHIM is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”

 However, this passage in Genesis is referring to the condition of the earth during creation. The earth was dark and without form then we see that YHWH said “let there be light”, but what light could that be being that YHWH didn’t create the sun, moon, and stars until the fourth day (Genesis 1:14-19)?

2 Esdras 6:38-40

“And I said, “O YHWH, You spoke from the beginning of the creation, even the first day, and said, “Let the heavens and the earth be made,’ and Your word became a perfect work. And then the Spirit and darkness and silence were on every side; the sound of man’s voice was not yet formed. Then You commanded a GOOD LIGHT to come forth from Your treasures, that Your work might appear.”

YHWH brought a light from His treasuries, which I believe to be YESHUA (The Light of the World) who was here before the foundation of the world, but revealed on the earth Day 1 or the light could be another light source from the heavens to illuminate YHWH’s work that we don’t know about it. One thing we know is that YHWH’s word is true but we can never understand everything that He is or what He does, we simply cannot put Him into a box:

Romans 11:33-34

“Oh, the depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of ELOHIM! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways! For who has known the mind of YHWH? Or who has become His counsellor?

Supporting scriptures for Sabbath/Day from evening to evening!

Nehemiah 13:19

“And it came to be, at the gates of Jerusalem, as it BEGAN TO BE DARK BEFORE THE SABBATH, that I (Nehemiah) commanded the gates to be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened till AFTER THE SABBATH.”

Ezekiel 46:1-2

“Thus said the Adon YHWH, “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon it is opened. And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate from the outside, and he shall stand by the post. And the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings. And he shall bow himself at the threshold of the gate, and shall go out, but the GATE IS NOT SHUT UNTIL EVENING.”

So YHWH says 6 days out of the week are work days, and the gate is to remained shut on those 6 days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened. Notice how YHWH says to close the gate at evening on the Sabbath? That is because when the sunsets is it Sunday the first day of the week which is the start of the 6 days of work when the gates are to be closed. The only reason why Nehemiah closed the gates was to prevent the Jews from breaking the Sabbath as they were doing so often (Nehemiah 13).

Jubilees 21:10

“And eat its meat on that day and on the second day, and DO NOT LET THE SUN ON THE SECOND DAY GO DOWN on it till it is eaten, and let NONE BE LEFT OVER FOR THE THIRD DAY.”

Leviticus 19:5-6

“And when you bring a peace offering to YHWH, bring it for your acceptance. It is eaten the same day you slaughter it, and on the next day. And that which is left on the THIRD DAY is burned with fire.”

So Abraham told his son Isaac to eat the meat of the peace offering on the first 2 days and don’t eat or let any remain on the third day. Notice how he emphasizes to not let the sun go down on the second day before it is eaten? That is because at sunset it’s the start of the 3rd day and if the meat was left over or eaten it would have been sin unto him.

Jubilees 49:1 (RH Charles, year 1917 and YAHWEH’S restored Names versions) Passover instructions that shows when a day begins:

“Remember the commandment which YHWH commanded you concerning the Passover, that you should celebrate it in its season on the fourteenth of the first month, that you should kill it before it is evening, and that they should eat it by night on the EVENING OF THE FIFTEENTH FROM THE TIME OF THE SETTING OF THE SUN.”   

This is more evidence showing that the start of the next day is at evening when the sunsets, which is why YHWH said for Passover (14th day of 1st month) to slaughter the lamb “between the evenings” which is twilight before the sun goes down, because it would still the 14th Day of the 1st month. And we see at evening when the sunset it was the evening of the 15th day (showing the next day starts at evening) which coincides with the start the Feast of Unleavened Bread (15th day of 1st month).

Many say you cannot use Yom Kippur as an example:

 But what does scripture have to say about this? YHWH gives us further evidence on how He reckons a day being from evening to evening with His instructions for Yom Kippur.

Leviticus 23:27-32

“On the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippur. It shall be a holy gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to YHWH. Verse 31 You do no work- a Law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ‘It is a SABBATH of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at EVENING, FROM EVENING TO EVENING, you observe your SABBATH.”

I have heard many say that you cannot use Yom Kippur as an example for how YHWH reckons a day being from evening to evening because Yom Kippur is Moed (Appointed Time) therefore it only applies to that day. This conclusion is an error because when you read Leviticus 23 you will notice that they are ALL Appointed Times and the very first Appointed Time that YHWH lists is the weekly Sabbath:

Leviticus 23:1-3

“And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Yisra’el, and say to them, ‘THE APPOINTED TIMES OF YHWH, which you are to proclaim as holy gatherings, MY APPOINTED TIMES ARE THESE: ‘Six days work is done, but the seventh day is a SABBATH OF REST, a holy gathering. You DO NO WORK, IT IS A SABBATH to YHWH in all your dwellings.”

So the argument that Yom Kippur is separated from the weekly Sabbath is not true as we see from the mouth of YHWH that He lists the SABBATH as the FIRST of His APPOINTED TIMES! Then YHWH goes on to list the rest of His Appointed Times, Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot, Yom Teruah, YOM KIPPUR, Feast of Tabernacles, and the 8th Day Closing Assembly.

Furthermore, there are only TWO “Shabbat Shabbatons” pronounced (Sha-ba-tone) on YHWH’s calendar which means “Complete rest, complete stopping from all activity”, and they are the weekly 7th Day SABBATH and Yom Kippur, the other holy days are called Sabbaths (High Sabbaths) not Shabbat Shabbaton’s; therefore, if the weekly Sabbath and Yom Kippur are the only Shabbat Shabbaton’s for complete stopping and resting, then the same rules would apply. Evening to Evening as He spells us for us.

YHWH gives us more examples using the Feast of Unleavened Bread where YHWH says eat unleavened bread for 7 days starting on the 14th of the 1st month at EVENING through the 21st day of the 1st month at EVENING! Notice how the command to stop eating the unleavened bread ENDS at EVENING at not morning? That’s because it’s the start of a new day the beginning of the 22nd day of the 1st month. If you are observing a day from morning to morning then that means you would break the command to stop eating unleavened bread the “evening” of the 21st day and would continue into the 22nd day. And again The Sabbath Day, Yom Kippur, The Feast of Unleavened Bread can be used as examples because they ALL are listed as Appointed Times or Moedim. And they ALL concluded a day being from evening to evening.

Why unclean until evening?

Leviticus 22:7

“And when the SUN GOES DOWN he shall be clean, and afterward eat the holy offerings, because it is his food.”

Notice how YHWH doesn’t say when the sun comes up or rises that you will be clean? Why? Because you are unclean until the start of the next day which is at evening when the sun goes down!

Leviticus 11:23-24

“But all other flying insects which have four feet is an abomination to you. And by these you are made UNCLEAN, anyone touching the carcass of any of them is unclean UNTIL EVENING.” Verse 39 And when any of the beasts which are yours for food dies, he who touches its carcass becomes unclean UNTIL EVENING.”

Leviticus 15:10 (Dealing with discharges)

“And whoever touches any of that which was under him is unclean UNTIL EVENING. And he who is carrying them up has to wash his garments and shall bathe in water, and be unclean UNTIL EVENING.”

Leviticus 15:18

“And when a woman lies with a man, and there is an emission of semen, they both shall bathe in water, and be unclean UNTIL EVENING.”

1 Samuel 14:24

“And the men of Yisra’el were distressed that day for, Saul had placed the people under oath, saying, “Cursed be the man who eats food until EVENING, and I have taken revenge on my enemies. Verse 27-28 But Jonathan had not heard that his dad had taken an oath of the people, and he stretched out the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth. And his eyes lit up. Then one of the people said, “Your dad strictly took an oath of the people, saying, ‘Cursed be the man who eats food TODAY.” And the people were weary.”

 Saul said for this oath that no one could eat food until evening because evening would be the start of the next day. The man who told Jonathan about the oath said they were not supposed to eat food today, because it was understood that at evening when the oath was lifted they could resume eating for it was the beginning of another day.

I pray this helps clear up the situation for anyone who does not recognize the Sabbath or a day being from evening to evening. The start of the next day begins at evening and not the morning.

YESHUA is EVERYTHING in ONE! Part 2: ELOHIM, King, and more!

Last week we discussed how YESHUA is the entire Word! The Written Word that became Living Flesh and also His important role as High Priest. This week we will go over all of the other many titles of YESHUA and how He is everything in ONE!

ELOHIM the Son

Some people feel that YESHUA is not ELOHIM The Son or ever claimed to be, and they also feel worship of Him is idolatry, but we will see what Scripture says.

John 8:56-59

“Your ancestor Abraham was glad that he should see My day, and he saw it and rejoiced.” The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” YESHUA said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I am.” Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but YESHUA was hidden and went out of the Sanctuary, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.”

The Jews knew that YESHUA was saying that He was ELOHIM The Son and that He was here before the foundation of the world and that He saw Abraham. How could YESHUA have done this if He wasn’t even fifty years old? That is because He was here FROM THE BEGINNING!

Enoch 48:2-5

“And at that hour the Son of Man was Named in the presence of YHWH of hosts, and His Name before the Head of Days. Even before the sun and the signs were created, before the stars of the heavens were made, His Name was Named before YHWH of hosts. He shall be a staff to the righteous to brace themselves upon and not fall, and He shall be the light of the nations, and the hope of those who are troubled of heart. All who dwell on earth SHALL FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP BEFORE HIM, and will praise and bless and celebrate YHWH of hosts with song.”

John 10:30-33

“I and My Father are one.” Again the Jews picked up stones to stone Him. YESHUA answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of these works do you stone Me? The Jews answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for BLASPHEMY, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself ELOHIM.”

This is the second time the Jews knew exactly what YESHUA was saying which is what they said that He was blaspheming and picked up stones to attempt to stone Him again.

John 5:21-23

“For as the Father raises the dead and makes alive, even so the Son makes alive whom He wants. For the Father judges no one, but has given all the judgment to the Son, that all should value the Son EVEN AS THEY VALUE THE FATHER. He who DOES NOT VALUE THE SON DOES NOT VALUE THE FATHER WHO SENT HIM.”

1 John 2:22-24

“Who is the liar, except the one denying that YESHUA is ha’Mashicah? This is the anti-messiah, the one denying the Father and the Son. NO ONE DENYING THE SON HAS THE FATHER. The one confessing THE SON HAS THE FATHER AS WELL.”

John 14:6

“YESHUA said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through Me.”

So worship of YESHUA is not idolatry because He The Door (Dalet) and He and His Father are One, which is why John says if you don’t have YESHUA you don’t have YHWH period!

Isaiah 9:6

“For a Child shall be born unto us, A Son shall be given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Strong El (God), Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 19:20

“And it shall be for a sign and for a witness to YHWH of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to YHWH because of the oppressors, He sends them a Savior and an ELOHIM (YESHUA), and shall deliver them.”

John 20:26-28

“And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. YESHUA came, THE DOORS HAVING BEEN SHUT, and He stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Bring your finger here, and see My hands. And bring your hand and put it into My side-and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “Adonai (My Master) and my ELOHIM.”

YHWH sends a Savior and ELOHIM which is a reference to His Son YESHUA and we see Thomas calls YESHUA His Master and ELOHIM HalleluYAH! Also, notice how the doors were shut but YESHUA still appeared to them, this is a supernatural experience they witnessed that no human can do. So anyone saying the worship and praise of YESHUA being idolatry cannot have the Father YHWH without recognizing who YESHUA is first being ELOHIM The Son, and YESHUA Himself said that all that don’t value Him, do not value the Father who sent Him!

Mediator of New Covenant

Job 9:32-33

“For not a man as I should answer Him, and we come together into right-ruling. There is no mediator between us, to lay his hand upon us both.”

While Job was being tried, he was complaining that he did not do anything wrong for what he was going through and that there was no mediator between YHWH and himself. YHWH knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10) and He already knew that Job was not going to curse Him. The Mediator that Job was requesting is exactly what YESHUA is for us. As pointed out last week, YESHUA had to be made like us to be the perfect intercessor and High Priest on our behalf.

Hebrews 4:14-16

“Therefore, since we have a great Kohen ha’Gadol (High Priest) who has passed through the heavens, YESHUA the Son of YHWH, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin. Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of favor, in order to receive compassion, and find favor for timely help.”

Hebrews 2:17-18

“So in every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a compassionate and trust worthy High Priest in matters related to YHWH, to make atonement for the sins of the people. For in what He had suffered, Himself being tried, He is able to help those who are tried.”

Now we can see YESHUA’s role as Mediator between us and our Father YHWH:

Hebrews 1:1-4

“YHWH, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the ancestors by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages, who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and sustaining all by the Word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high, having become so much better than the messengers (angels), as He has inherited a more excellent Name than them”.

Hebrews 8:6

“But now He has obtained a more excellent service, inasmuch as He is also a Mediator of a better Covenant, which is constituted on better promises.”

Hebrews 12:24

“And to YESHUA the Mediator of a New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than Abel.”

1 Timothy 2:3-5

“For this is good and acceptable before ELOHIM our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one ELOHIM, and one Mediator between ELOHIM and men, the Man Messiah YESHUA, who gave Himself a ransom for all….”

1 John 2:1

“My little children, I write this to you, so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, YESHUA ha”Mashiach a righteous One.

Romans 8:34

“Who is he who is condemning? It is ha’Mashiach who died, and furthermore is also raised up, who is also at the right hand of YHWH, who also makes intercession for us.”

To give us the Holy Spirit so we can walk in His commandments and do them!

The prophets prophesied through the Ruach ha’Kodesh the Holy Spirit that YHWH would put His Spirit into His people so that they would walk in His commandments and do them! Which is another reason why YESHUA had to die so that we could receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth and obey The Commandments; because we cannot do anything on our own strength.

John 7:37-39

“And on the last Great Day of the Festival, YESHUA stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him drink who believes in Me drink. As the Scripture said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water.” And this He was concerning the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive, for the Ruach ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit) was not yet, because YESHUA was not yet esteemed.”

John 16:7-14

“But I say the truth to you. It is better for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you at all, but if I go, I shall send Him to you. And having come, He shall reprove the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment concerning sin because they do not believe in Me, concerning righteousness because I go to My Father and you see Me no more, concerning judgment because the ruler of this world is judged. I still have much to say to you, but you are not able to bear them now. But when He comes, the Spirit of Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come. He shall esteem Me, for He shall take of what is Mine and announce it to you.”

Acts 2:1-4

“And when the Day of the Festival of Shavuot had come, they were all with one mind in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from the heavens, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Ruach ha”Kodesh (Holy Spirit) and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them to speak.”

This is exactly what was prophesied through the prophet Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 11:19-20

“And I shall give them one heart, and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, so that they walk in My Laws, and guard My Right-Rulings, and shall do them. And they shall be My people and I shall be their ELOHIM.”

Ezekiel 36:26

“And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause you to walk in My Laws and guard My Right-Rulings and shall do them.”

Jubilees 1:23-24 (Included in 1611 KJV)

“And after this they shall turn to Me in all uprightness and with all their heart and with all their being, and I shall circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart of their seed, and I shall create in them a holy spirit, and I shall cleanse them so that they shall not turn away from Me from that day unto eternity. And their beings shall cling to Me and to all My Commands, and they shall perform My Commands, and I shall be their Father and they shall be My children.”

Jeremiah 31:33

“For this is the Covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’el after those days, declares YHWH. I shall put My Torah IN their inward parts, and write it ON their hearts. And I shall be their ELOHIM, and they shall be My people.”

For our sins our Redeemer

Mathew 26:28

“For this is My blood, that of the Renewed Covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Isaiah 53:4-5

“Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him stricken, smitten by ELOHIM, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness’s. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

John 1:29

“On the next day John saw YESHUA coming toward him, and said, ‘See, the Lamb of YHWH who takes away the sin of the world!”

The very first prophecy of our Messiah and Redeemer was found in the Garden of Eden, YHWH already had a plan for redemption when Adam and Eve sinned.

Genesis 3:15

“And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed (Satan) and her Seed (YESHUA). He (YESHUA) shall crush your head (Satan), and you shall crush His heel.”

We know that the man is the one who provides the seed, but we see here that YHWH says the “woman’s seed”. That means the seed would already be there for the virgin supernatural birth through the Holy Spirit, that would bring forth YESHUA to destroy the work of Satan and crush his head on the execution stake.

John 12:31-33

“Now is the judgment of this world, now the ruler of this world shall be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, shall draw all unto Myself.” This He said, signifying by what death He was about to die.”

1 John 3:8

“The one doing sin is of the devil, because the devil as sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of YHWH was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil.”

John 3:16

“For ELOHIM so loved the world that he gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.”

1 John 4:9

“By this the love of YHWH was manifested in us, that YHWH has sent His only brought-forth Son into the world, in order that we might live through Him.” In this is love, not that we loved YHWH, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning offering for our sins.”

Acts 13:38-39

“Let it therefore be known to you, brothers, that through this One forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by Him everyone who believes is declared right from all of which you were not able to be declared right by the Torah of Moses.”

That is because keeping the commandments is how we KNOW Him and LOVE Him, the commandments show us the character of ELOHIM and His holiness, but YESHUA’s blood saves. Our ELOHIM does not accept the lawless into His Kingdom so it’s two-fold of faith and works.

Romans 1:16

“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Messiah, for it is the power of ELOHIM for deliverance to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also the Greek.”

Romans 5:18-19

“So then, as through one trespass there resulted condemnation to all men, so also through one righteous act there resulted righteous-declaring of life to all men. For as through the disobedience of one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One (YESHUA) many shall be made righteous.”

Ephesians 5:2

“And walk in love, as Messiah also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to YHWH for a sweet-smelling fragrance.”

Job 19:25

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and to the end, shall stand over the earth;”

Colossians 1:14

“..In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins..”

Our Shepherd

Sheep are vulnerable animals and NEED a shepherd, which is why we the believers are referred to as sheep; because we NEED YESHUA as our Shepherd to lead the flock of believers. Sheep tend to wander off from the flock, similarly to how believers will begin to stray or backslide in their faith, but YESHUA the Good Shepherd will bring you back to safety from the enemy.

Mathew 18:12-14

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, would he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains, going to seek the one straying? And if he should fine it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. This it is not the desire of your Father who is in the heavens that one of these little ones should be lost.”

1 Peter 2:24-25

“Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the timber, so that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the SHEPHERD and Overseer of your beings.”

Sheep are also vulnerable to predators like wolves, similarly to how we are vulnerable to evil spirits without the protection of YESHUA as our Shepherd who is The Word of YHWH; by girding us to be equipped against the schemes of the devil. People want to feel like they have control over their lives by their free will, but if it wasn’t for the protection of our ELOHIM shielding you then you would be in trouble; therefore, we need YESHUA to Shepherd our lives.

Revelation 12:5

“And she bore a male child who was to SHEPHERD ALL nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught away to ELOHIM and to His throne.”

YESHUA is the male Child who shepherds ALL the nations meaning both native-born and the gentiles and is now sitting at the right-hand of our Father YHWH.

John 10:11-14

“I am the good SHEPHERD. The good SHEPHERD lays down His life for the sheep. But the hireling, and not being a shepherd-one who does not own the sheep-see the wolf coming and flees. And the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them. Now the hireling flees because he is a hireling and is not concerned about the sheep. I am the good SHEPHERD. And I know Mine, and Mine know Me...”

John 10:16

“And other sheep I have which are not of this fold (gentiles)-I have to bring them as well, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock (ONE FAITH JEW AND GENTILE/ONE FAITH) ONE SHEPHERD.”

2 Esdras 2:34

“And therefore I say unto you, “O you gentiles that hear and understand, look for your SHEPHERD, He (YESHUA) shall give you everlasting rest; for He is near at hand, who shall come at the end of the world. Be ready for the reward of the reign, for the everlasting light shall shine upon you forever. Flee the shadow of this world, receive the joy of your esteem; I witness of My SAVIOR openly.”

Our King

John 18:33-36

“Then Pilate went back into the palace, and called YESHUA, and said to Him, “You are the King of the Jews?” YESHUA answered him, “Do you say this from yourself, or did others talk to you about Me?” Pilate answered, “Am I Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What did You do? YESHUA answered, “My reign is NOT OF THIS WORLD. If My reign were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews. But now My reign is NOT FROM HERE.”

Mathew 26:53

“Or do you think that I am not able to pray to My Father now, and He shall provide Me with more than twelve legions of messengers (angels)?

A legion is anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000, so being that YESHUA is King and the Son of YHWH He would have more than 72,000 messengers at His disposal to defend Him because His Kingdom is in heaven. This is the awesome King we serve!

Deuteronomy 17:14

“When you come to the land which YHWH your ELOHIM is giving you, and shall possess it and shall dwell in it, and you shall say, “Let me appoint a king over me like all the gentiles that are around me,’ you shall certainly appoint a king over you whom YHWH your ELOHIM shall choose. Appoint a king over you from among your brothers, you are NOT ALLOWED to appoint a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.”

YHWH appointed a King for us from amongst our brothers from the Tribe of Judah and His Name is YESHUA! And we also know that a brother or sister is one who has the same belief and follows the Commands of YHWH and believes that YESHUA is His Son who died for our sins and rose on the third day. Our brother and sisters are also those DOING the will of YHWH as YESHUA said:

Mathew 12:46-50

“And while He was still talking to the crowds, see, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. And one said to Him, “See Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.” But He answering, said to the one who spoke to Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And having stretched out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “See My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the desire of My Father who is in the heavens is My brother and sister and mother.”

This gives us a clear definition of what a brother or sister is according to Scripture. Does this mean that you don’t help non-believers who are in need? Of course you help them if they are need; the story of the Good Samaritan is a good example of this.

I’m pointing out who our brothers and sisters are and why YHWH said do not appoint a king over you who is not amongst your brothers.  Which is why voting for politicians who are not your brothers in the belief is a violation of what YHWH said. Presidents are just modern day kings whom people are looking to save them, when we already have a King! I’m not saying to go out and disobey the laws of the land because we must obey the laws of the land, but NEVER let them override YHWH’s commands. Voting is a choice, it is not something a believer is required to do. We live in this world, but are not supposed to be a part of this world. This is what the Jews did by choosing Caesar over YESHUA!

John 19:14-15

“And it was the Preparation of the Pesach (Passover), and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “See your King!” But they shouted, “Away, away, impale Him! Pilate said to them, “Shall I impale your King? The chief priests answered, “We have no king except Caesar.”

Sirach 17:17-18

“For in the division of the nations of the WHOLE EARTH, He appointed a ruler over every people; But Yisra’el is the portion of YHWH; whom being His first-born, He nourishes with discipline, and giving Him the light of His love, does not forsake him.”

This scripture is further evidence that YHWH appointed rulers for all the people of the earth except for Yisra’el because they belong to Him. This means that those who believe in YHWH as the Father and YESHUA as His Son belong to Him and He is our Ruler and King! We don’t have to vote to appoint a stranger to rule over us!

Zechariah 6:12-13

“..and shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus said YHWH of hosts, saying, “See, the Man whose name is the Branch! And from His place He shall branch out, and He shall build the Temple of YHWH. It is He who is going to build the Temple of YHWH. It is He who is going to bear the splendor. And He shall sit and rule on His throne, and shall be a Priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between Them both.”

Very beautiful prophecy about YESHUA showing that not only will He be a King on His throne, but will also be a High Priest as we discussed last week. Which makes perfect sense being that YESHUA is a High Priest in the order of Malkitsedeq who was the only other king priest.

Hebrews 7:1-3

“For this Malkitsedeq, King of Salem, Priest of the Most High ELOHIM, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him to whom Abraham gave a tenth of all, first of all translated as, ‘King of Righteousness,’ and then also King of Salem, that is, King of Peace,’ without dad, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but having been made like the Son of YHWH, remains a Priest for all time.” Verse 17 for He witnesses, “You are a Priest forever according to the order of Malkitsedeq.”

Seeing that YESHUA died for more than just our sins but to also become everything in ONE package and the heir of ALL is a gift that the world must accept! Without accepting Him as your Savior you will not have a chance is this world or during the judgment.

John 15:5-6

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do nothing! If anyone does not stay In Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”

YESHUA is EVERYTHING in ONE; we all need Him! Part 1: Importance of High Priest

YESHUA ha’Mashiach the Son of our Father YHWH is everything wrapped in ONE! It is my prayer that you will see all the roles and titles that YESHUA has and is doing on our behalf; and how no one on this earth can be redeemed without His blood and the many functions that He performs. Without accepting His free gift no one on this earth will even have a chance during judgment day!

John 3:18

“He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only brought forth Son of ELOHIM.”

He is The Written Word that became Living Flesh!

Before we can get into the roles of YESHUA we must understand that He is the entire Word! The Written Word that became Living Flesh and how He said this about Himself openly.

John 4:45-47

“Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, in whom you have put your expectation. For if you believed Moses, you would have believed Me, since he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My Words?”

I love this scripture because YESHUA told the Pharisees that He is the written Word that became Living Flesh. If they believed in the writings of Moses who wrote the Torah then they would believe the words of YESHUA since Moses wrote about Him. And then for modern day Christianity that rejects the Torah, Laws, and Commands, YESHUA says that if you don’t believe the writings of Moses who wrote the Torah, then how can you believe His words being that He is the Torah/Word? You can’t because rejecting the Torah is rejecting YESHUA the written Word that became Living Flesh.

Revelation 19:13

“And having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood-and His Name is called: THE WORD OF YHWH.”

So we see that YESHUA is the WORD OF YHWH, just as He said in the Scripture above in John 5:45-47.

John 1:1-2

“In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with ELOHIM, and the WORD was ELOHIM. He was in the beginning with ELOHIM.”

Ephesians 6:17

“Take also the helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Ruach (Spirit), which is the WORD OF YHWH.”

John 14:6

“YESHUA said to him, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

It’s truly amazing again to see how YESHUA breaks down that He is again the written Word/Torah made flesh because all He did was sum it up with that statement. Let’s look at the Holy Scriptures to define The WAY, The TRUTH, and The LIFE and see how they ALL connect to the Torah!

Psalms 119:1

“Blessed are the perfect in the WAY, who walk in the Torah of YHWH”

Psalms 119:142

“Your righteousness is righteousness forever, and Your Torah is TRUTH.”

Proverbs 13:14

“The Torah of the wise is a fountain of LIFE.”

YESHUA is Our High Priest

A lot of believers know that YESHUA is our High Priest, but may not the importance of the priests in Scripture; therefore, we must discuss the importance of the role of the priests and how YESHUA has taken over this role. The priests are from Aaron the brother of Moses whom all came from the tribe of Levi the Levites, so they are all brothers (Levites) but have different functions. The Levites were officers, judges, gatekeepers, guards, bore the Ark of the Covenant, taught of the Law of YHWH, and helped oversee the building of the House of YHWH. Whereas the priests did the slaughter offerings burned the incense, and did the blessing in the Name of YHWH.

1 Chronicles 23:13-14

“And David divided them into divisions, of the sons of Levi: of Gereshon, Qehath, and Merari. Of the Gereshonites: La’dan and Shim’i. The sons of La’dan: Yehi’el the head, then Zethan and Yo’el, three. The sons of Shim’i: Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran three. These were the heads of the fathers’ houses of La’dan. And the sons of Shim’i: Yahath, Zina, and Ye’ush, and Beri’ah. These were the four sons of Shim’i. And Yahath was the head and Zizath the second. But Ye’ush and Beri’ah did not have many sons, so they were reckoned as one father’s house. The Sons of Qehath: Amram, Yitshar, Hebron, and Uzzi’el, four. The sons of Armam: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was sanctified, he and his sons (priests) forever, that he should sanctify the most holy, to burn incense before YHWH, to serve Him, and to give the blessing in His Name forever.”

1 Chronicles 6:48

“And their brothers, the Levites, were appointed to every kind of service of the Tabernacle of the House of ELOHIM. But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the Most Holy Place, and to make atonement for Yisra’el, according to all that Moses the servant of ELOHIM had commanded.”

They were born into the priesthood (bodily descent) and if there was a change in priesthood that means there is a change in sacrificial system with the blood of YESHUA versus the animals for the sin, guilt, peace, and burnt offerings.

 The High Priest lived like the other priests; however, they had a few extra special responsibilities. For example, they were the only ones who could enter into the Holy of Holies (2nd Veil) once a year on Yom Kippur, to atone for his sins, the sins of his household, and the congregation of Yisra’el (Leviticus 16). The earthly high priest was human so he would die and also had to make atonement for his own sins. YESHUA doesn’t die and was sinless and He now intercedes for us continually. YESHUA is now our High Priest, so we can see the importance of this role.

Hebrews 7:26-27

“For it was fitting that we should have such a High Priest-kind, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens, who does not need, as those high priests, to offer up slaughter offerings day by day, first for His own sins and then for those of the people, for this He did ONCE FOR ALL, when He offered up Himself.”

Hebrews 7:13-14

“For He (YESHUA) of whom this is said belongs to another tribe Yahudah (Judah), from which no one had attended at the altar (because the priests from tribe of Levi did the slaughter offerings). For it is perfectly clear that our Master arose from Judah, a tribe about which Moses never spoke of concerning priesthood, and this is clearer still, if another priest arises in the likeness of Malkitsedeq, who has become, not according to the law of fleshly command (bodily descent), but according to the power of an endless life, for He witnesses, “You are a Priest FOREVER according to the order of Malkitsedeq.”

Hebrews 4:14-15

For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin.”

It was necessary for YEHSHUA to become flesh so that He can intercede for us as He became as one of us; therefore, making Him the perfect High Priest on our behalf to intercede at the throne.

The High Priest had to make atonement for their sins, for their household, and for the assembly of Yisra’el by slaughter offerings, but YESHUA offered up Himself and not the blood of bulls and goats. So without accepting His free gift of atonement, then who is atoning for your sins today?

 We know that the priest are not in the Temple performing the slaughter offerings for sin anymore even if they wanted to because there is no Temple.  YESHUA’s sacrifice as the Seh ha’ YHWH (The Lamb of YHWH) who takes away the sins of the world is Who atones for our sins!. The children of Yisra’el needed the priests to slaughter animals to atone for their sins, just as the world needs YESHUA to atone on behalf our sins as He has taken on the role of High Priest passing through the heavens and sitting down at the right hand of YHWH in heaven:

Hebrews 8:1-3

“Now the summary of what we are saying is: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Greatness in the heavens, and who serves in the Sanctuary and of the true Tent, which YHWH put up, and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and slaughtering’s. So it was also necessary for this One to have somewhat to offer (His own blood.)”

What are functions did the priests have?

So taking a look at all the functions of priests will give you a clear idea of how important YESHUA really is as our High Priest, knowing that the earthy Sanctuary is a shadow and a copy of the One in Heaven. There were punishments involved if anyone broke the protocol of the priests or the Levites.

“And he waited for seven days, according to the appointment with Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattered from him. And Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. And it came to be, as he had finished the offering the burn offering, look, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him, to bless him. Then Samuel said, what have you done?” And Saul said, “Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered at Mikmash, so I said, “The Philistines are going to come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not appeased the face of YHWH.’ So I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.” And Samuel said to Saul, “You have been foolish. You have not guarded the Command of YHWH your ELOHIM, which He commanded you. For now YHWH would have established your reign over Yisra’el forever. But now, your reign is not going to stand. YHWH shall seek for Himself a man after His own heart, and YHWH shall command him to be a leader over His people, because you have not guarded what YHWH commanded you.”

 How do we know that Samuel was a priest?

Psalms 99:6

 “Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those calling up His Name.” They called upon YHWH and He answered them.”

Saul did an unlawful sacrifice of a burnt offering to YHWH when he was from the tribe of Benjamin and not a priest like Samuel from the tribe of Levi, which is why he was supposed to wait for Samuel and not perform the burnt offering himself. Saul did not guard the Command/Law of YHWH  This Scripture is clear about stressing the importance of priests and their role.

Exodus 29:8-12

“Then you shall bring his sons and put long shirts on them, and shall gird them with girdles Aaron and his sons and put the turbans on them. And the PRIESTHOOD SHALL BE THIERS FOR AN EVERLASTING LAW. So you shall ordain Aaron and his sons. And you shall bring near the bull before the Tent of Appointment, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull. And you shall SLAUGHTER THE BULL BEFORE YHWH, by the door of the Tent of Appointment…”

1 Chronicles 6:48

“And their brothers, the Levites, were appointed to every kind of service of the Tabernacle of the House of ELOHIM. But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the Most Holy Place, and to make atonement for Yisra’el, according to all that Moses the servant of ELOHIM had commanded.”

2.      Jeroboam failed to see the importance of the Levites when he fell!

1 Kings 12:28-31

“So the king took counsel and made two calves of gold, and said to the people, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. See, your mighty ones O Yisra’el, which brought you up from the land of Egypt!” And he put up one in Beyth El, and the other he put in Dan. And this matter became a sin, for the people went before the one as far as Dan. And he made the house high places, and MADE PRIESTS FROM ALL SORTS OF PEOPLE, WHO WERE NOT OF THE SONS OF LEVI.”

2 Chronicles 13:9-11

“Have you not thrown out the priests of YHWH, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made for yourselves priests, like the PEOPLES OF THE LANDS (PAGANS), so that whoever comes to ordain himself with a young bull and seven rams then becomes a priest of non-mighty ones? But as for us, YHWH is our ELOHIM, and we have not forsaken Him, and priests are serving YHWH, the sons of Aaron and the Levites, in the work, and are burning to YHWH every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense, and the showbread is put on the clean table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps to burn every evening, for we are guarding the Charge of YHWH our ELOHIM. But you have forsaken Him.”

3.      1 Chronicles 23:13

“The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was sanctified, he and his sons forever, that he should sanctify the most holy, to BURN INCENSE before YHWH, to serve Him, and to give the blessing in His Name forever.”

So as we see Aaron and his sons the priests were the only ones to burn incense before YHWH as one of their functions, so what happened to anyone who did not follow the instructions of YHWH like Saul and Jeroboam?

2 chronicles 26:14-21

“And Uzziyahu prepared for them, for the entire army, shields, and spears, and helmets, and body armor, and bows, and sling stones. And he made machines in Jerusalem, devised by skilled men, to be on the towers and the corners, to shoot arrows and large stones. And his name spread far and wide, for he was marvelously helped till he became strong. But when he became strong his heart was lifted up (pride), to his destruction, for he TRESPASSED against YHWH his ELOHIM by entering the Temple of YHWH to BURN INCENSE on the altar of incense. And Azaryahu the PRIEST went in after him, and with him were eighty PRIESTS of YHWH, who were brave men. And they stood up against King Uzziyahu, and said to him, “It is NOT for you, Uzziyahu, to BURN INCENSE to YHWH, but for PRIESTS, the sons of Aaron, who are holy to burn incense. Get out of the Sanctuary, for you have TRESPASSED, and there is no esteem to you from YHWH ELOHIM.” And Uzziyahu was wroth. And he had a censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was wroth with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before the priests in the House of YHWH, beside the incense altar. And Azaryahu the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and saw that he was leprous on his forehead. And they hurried him from there. And he also hurried to get out, because YHWH had struck him. And King Uzziyahu was a leper until the day of his death…”

So the king Uzziyahu trespassed against YHWH by burning incense which was unlawful for him to do because it was for the priests the sons of Aaron to do. And the result was him dying a leper.

 Now you can see the significance of Saul doing an unlawful sacrifice and how Jeroboam made priests of anyone that wasn’t a Levite, and Uzziyahu burned incense that wasn’t lawful for him to do either, but a duty of the priests.

So, If YESHUA is fulfilling this role as our High Priest from the tribe of Judah and not the earthly priests from the tribe of Levi, then how can anyone be saved without Him? Not only did He die for our sins and restore us to the favor of YHWH and redeem us by His blood, but is also serving as our High Priest doing this functions on our behalf in heaven. This shows the entire world needs Him and does not stand a chance on judgment day without Him. We see that Aaron and his sons did the work, but YESHUA is bearing it all serving in the true Tent not made by man, but by YHWH.

We will serve Him and kings and priest

We see the role of the Levites and priests and it’s importance because this covenant will be fulfilled when YESHUA returns to reign as we will serve Him as kings and priests. So it is important to understand these roles since we have one of the functions.

Exodus 19:5-6

“And now, if you diligently obey My voce, and shall guard My Covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples-for all the earth is Mine-and you shall be to Me a reign of PRIESTS and a holy nation. Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’el.” We see the Covenant will be fulfilled with YESHUA’s reign:

Revelation 1:5-6

“And from YESHUA ha’Mashiach, the trustworthy Witness, the first-born of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us KINGS AND PRIESTS to His ELOHIM and Father, to him be esteem and rule forever and ever. Ahmein.”

Revelation 5:9-10

“And they sang a renewed song, saying, “You are worthy to be take the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and have redeemed us to YHWH by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and made us KINGS AND PRIESTS to our ELOHIM, and we shall reign upon the earth.”

Revelation 20:6

“Blessed and holy is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be PRIESTS of YHWH and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.”

What the Levites and Priests did was a shadow and a copy of what is done in the Tabernacle in heaven and we will serve YHWH and YESHUA as priests for 1,000 years when He reigns on earth. ELOHIM willing next week we will be discussing all the other many roles and titles of YESHUA and as always may YHWH bless you in the Name of YESHUA.

Command #10 You do not covet!

Exodus 20:17

“You do not covet your neighbor’s house, you do not covet your neighbor’s wife, not his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbor.”

Sirach 10:9 (Included in original KJV 1611):

“How could earth and ashes be proud? There is none more wicked than a COVETOUS man; for such a one puts his own being up for sale; for while he lives he destroys his inner being.”

A person will literally deteriorate internally by stressing and spending his days wanting what others have and will do anything to get it, even sell his own being.

Proverbs 21:25-26

“The desire of the lazy man slays him, for his hands refused to work. He COVETS greedily all day long, but the righteous gives and does not withhold.”

The definition of covet is:  yearn to possess or having something, to be consumed with desire for, have one’s heart set on.

Coveting is not being satisfied with the provision that YHWH has given and that person is jealous of what others have. For example there have been studies showing how people will get on Facebook and covet other people who post pictures of them living what they assume to be perfect lives. Pictures of their cars, their jobs, their money, their family, vacationing, partying, and their relationships.

The person who is envying the lives of others begins to covet what they have and try to keep up with “The Joneses’”. They aren’t satisfied with their life but covet someone elses’ which leads to hatred, depression, or even suicide; and furthermore, nobody knows how those individuals that they are coveting are living outside of Facebook. They could be depressed, in debt, or having suicidal thoughts, so be careful when coveting because you do not know the situation.

Mathew 6:22-23

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, all your body shall be enlightened. But if your eye is evil, all your body shall be darkened. If, then, the light that is within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Sirach 14:9-10

“The greedy man has an evil eye; he turns away his face, and despises men. A covetous man’s eye is not satisfied with his portion; and the wickedness of the wicked dries up his being.”

So if you are coveting everything that others have then your eye has become evil and your body will become darkened with jealousy, hatred, and envy which are works of the flesh and not of someone who is being led by the Ruach ha’Kodesh The Holy Spirit as Paul writes:

Galatians 5:19-20

“And the works of the flesh are well-known, which are: adultery, whoring, uncleanness, indecency, idolatry, drug sorcery, HATRED, quarrels, JEALOUSIES, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, faction, EVNY, MURDERS…”

Mathew 15:19

“For out of the heart come forth wicked reasoning’s, murders, adulteries, whorings, thefts, false witnessing, slanderers.”

James 4:14-17

“But if you have bitter jealousy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast against and lie against the truth. This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but it is earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For where jealousy and self-seeking are, there is confusion and every foul deed. But the wisdom from above is first clean, then peaceable, gentle, ready to obey, filled with compassion and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.”

The fruit of the Spirit is peace and life, but the works of the flesh by one coveting could birth all kinds of evil which stems from your heart, that could make one murder or steal for what they have been coveting. We are called to be selfless and not selfish, which means that we are to be satisfied with what we have been given.

Can coveting and desire lead to murder?

Exodus 20:17

“You do not covet your neighbor’s house, you do not covet your neighbor’s WIFE, not his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbor.”

YHWH says everything for a reason because He knows the hearts of men, so when David coveted and had a strong desire for Uriah’s wife it ended in murder.

2 Samuel 11:2-5

And it came to be, at evening time, that David rose up from his bed and walked about on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very good to look at. And David sent and asked about the woman, and one said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliyam, the WIFE of Uriyah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, to fetch her. And she came to him, and he lay with her-for she was cleansing herself from her uncleanness-and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived, and sent and informed David, and said, I am pregnant.” Verse 14-15 “And it came to be in the morning that David wrote a letter to Yoab and sent it by the hand of Uriyah. And he wrote in letter, saying, “Put Uriyah in the front of the heaviest battle, and you shall turn away from him, and he shall be smitten and shall die.”

Be satisfied with what YHWH has blessed you with!

1 Timothy 6:7-8

“For we brought naught into the world, and it is impossible to take any out. When we have food and covering, we shall be SATISFIED WITH THESE.”

Sirach 29:21

“The NECCESITIES for life are water, and bread, and garments, and a house for privacy.”

Hebrews 13:5

“In manner, be without covetousness, and be SATISFIED with what you have. For He Himself has said, “I shall never leave you nor forsake you…”

So based off the words of Paul and the scripture from Sirach we do not need much more outside of the necessities, because you understand that life here is temporary and not to store up treasures on earth, but in heaven. If YHWH blesses you with more then give Him praises for it, but if you have food, water, bread, clothing, and a house then praise Him for that too, because He gave it to you. Sadly, most people are ungrateful with what they have been given and always want to seek more which leads to covetousness. Always focus on YESHUA! May YHWH bless you all in YESHUA’s Name!

Command #9 You do not bear false witness!

Exodus 20:16

“You do not bear FALSE WITNESS against your neighbor.”

Exodus 23:1-2

“Do not bring a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be a MALICIOUS WITNESS. Do not follow a crowd to do evil, nor BEAR FALSE WITNESS in a strife so as to turn aside after many, to pervert.”

Mathew 5:37

“But let your word ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No’. And what goes beyond these is from the wicked one.”

Our words are supposed to be truth and reliable no matter what, because lying is not even an option in the eyes of YHWH. This is the reason why YHWH hates false witnesses so much because your testimony and words are supposed to be truthful. If you lie you will condemn an innocent man or woman.  The person bearing false witness does a lot damage with their lying tongue, which we see in court rooms when people lie under oath and bearing false witness to save a family member or to get themselves out of a crime. The courts are based on YHWH’s principle of being true to your word.

Mathew 18:16

“But if he does not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word might be established.’

2 Corinthians 13:1

“This is the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.”

“These six YHWH hates, and seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a LYING TONGUE, and hands shedding innocent blood, a heart devising wicked schemes, feet quick to run to evil, A FALSE WITNESS breathing out lies, and one who causes strife among brothers.”

Proverbs 12:17

“He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a FALSE WITNESS, deceit.”

Proverbs 12:22

“Lying lips are an abomination to YHWH…”

Revelation 22:15

“But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do FALSEHOOD.”

Sirach 7:12-13

“Do not plan a lie against a brother; neither do likewise to your friend. REFUSE TO MAKE ANY MANNER OF A LIE; for the way of this is not good.”

Mathew 26:59-61

“And the chief priest, and the elders, and all the council were seeking FALSE WITNESS against YESHUA to put Him to death, but found none. Although many FALSE WITNESSES came forward, they found none. But at last TWO FALSE WITNESSES came forward, and said, “This one said, I am able to destroy the Tabernacle of ELOHIM and to build it in three days.”

Shoshanna in Apocrypha (Included in 1611 KJV)

This event recorded in the Apocrypha covers what happens when people lie and bear false witness against someone just like they did with YESHUA!

Shoshanna 1:1-64

“There dwelt a man in Babel, called Yoyaqim, and he took a wife, whose name was Shoshanna, the daughter of Hilqiyahu, a very lovely woman, and one that revered YHWH. Her parents were also righteous, and taught their daughter according to the Torah of Moses. Now Yoyaqim was a very wealthy man, and had a lovely garden adjoining his house, and the Jews came to him because he was more esteemed than all others. The same year two of the elders of the people were appointed to be judges, of whom YHWH said, “Wickedness came from Babel from elders who were judges, who were supposed to govern the people.” These were often at Yoyaqim’s house, and all that had any matter of law came to them.”

“Now when the people departed at noon, Shoshanna went into her husband’s garden to walk. And the two elders saw her going in every day, and walking, therefore their lust was inflamed toward her. And they perverted their own mind, and turned away their eyes, that they might NOT look to the heavens, NOR remember righteous Right-Rulings. And although they both were smitten with her love, they dared not show one another his grief, for they were ashamed to admit their lust that they desired to have to do with her. Even so, they watched diligently from day to day to see her. And the one said to the other, “Let us now go home, for it is mealtime.” So when they were gone out, they parted from one another, but turning back again they came to the same place. And after that they had asked one another the cause, they acknowledged their lust.

“They the both appointed a time together, when they might find her alone. And it came to be, as they watched for an opportune time, she went in as before with only two female servants, and she desired to wash herself in the garden, for it was hot. And there was no one there except the two elders, that had hidden themselves, watching her. Then she said to her female servants, “Bring me oil and washing balm, and shut the garden doors, that I may wash myself.” And they did as she asked them, and shut the garden doors, and went out themselves at private doors to fetch that which she had commanded them; but they did not see the elders, because they were hidden. Now when the female servants had gone out, the two elders rose up, and ran to her, saying, “See, the garden doors are shut, so that no one sees us, and we are in love with you; therefore consent to us, and lie with us. If you shall not, we shall WITNESS AGAINST YOU, that a young man was with you, and that is why you sent away your female servants from you.”

Then Shoshanna sighed, and said, “I am trapped on every side; for if I do this deed, it is death unto me; and if I do not do it I cannot escape your hands. It is better for me to fall into your hands, and not do it, than to sin in the sight of YHWH.” With that Shoshanna cried with a loud voice, and the two elders cried out against her. Then the one ran, and opened the garden door. So when the servants of the house heard the cry in the garden, they rushed in at the private door, to see what was done to her. But when the elders had spoken their words, the servants were greatly ashamed, for there was never such a report made of Shoshanna. And it came to be the next day, when the people were assembled to her husband Yoyaqim, the two elders also came full of evil intentions against Shoshanna TO PUT HER TO DEATH, and said before the people, “Send for Shoshanna, the daughter of Hilqiyahu, Yoyaqim’s wife.” And so they sent.

So she came with her dad and mother, her children, and all her relatives. Now Shoshanna was a very delicate woman, and lovely to look at. And these wicked men commanded to uncover her face-for she was covered-that they might be filled with her loveliness. Therefore her friends and all that saw her wept. Then the two elders stood up in the midst of the people, and laid their hands upon her head. And she, weeping, looked up toward the heavens, for her heart trusted in YHWH. And the elders said, “As we walked in the garden alone, this woman came in with two female servants, and shut the garden doors, and sent the female servants away. Then a young man, who was hid there, came to her, and lay with her! Then we that stood in a corner of the garden, seeing this wickedness, ran toward them. And when we saw them together we could not hold the man, for he was stronger than we, and opened the door, and leaped out. But having taken this woman, we asked who the young man was, but she would not tell us! These matters we do WITNESS.”

I would just like to note that these two elders had mastered the art of lying, because they knew that the Torah states that if a man and woman are committing adultery that BOTH the man and the woman must be stoned to death; therefore, they covered their bases by saying the young man was too strong for them and got away. Similarly to the Pharisees trying YESHUA about the adulteress they brought to Him by bringing the woman only and not the man.

Deuteronomy 22:22

“When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then BOTH OF THEM shall die, BOTH THE MAN THAT LAY WITH THE WOMAN, AND THE WOMAN. Thus you shall purge the evil from Yisra’el.”

 Back to Shoshanna:

Then the assembly believed them, as they were the elders of the judges (position of power) of the people; so they CONDEMED HER TO DEATH. Then Shoshanna cried out with a loud voice, and said, “O everlasting ELOHIM, who knows the secrets, and knows all before they come to be. You know that they have born FALSE WITNESS AGAINST ME, and, see, I must die; whereas I never did such matters as these men have maliciously devised against me! And YHWH heard her voice. Therefore when she was led to be put to death, YHWH raised up the holy spirit of a young man whose name was Daniel, who cried out with a loud voice, “I am clear from the blood of this woman!” then all the people turned toward him, and said, “What do you mean by these words that you have spoken?” So he, standing in the midst of them said, “Are you such fools, you sons of Yisra’el, that without examination or knowledge of the truth you have condemned a daughter of Yisra’el? Return again to the place of judgment, for they have BORN FALSE WITNESS AGAINST HER.”

“Therefore all the people turned again in haste, and the elders said to him, “Come, sit down among us, and show us, seeing ELOHIM has given you the esteem of an elder.’ Then Daniel said to them, “Put these two aside, one far from another, and I shall examine them.” So when they were put apart, one from another, he called one of them, and said to him, “O you that have grown old in wickedness, now your sins which you have committed previously have come to light. For you have pronounced FALSE judgment and have condemned the innocent and have let the guilty go free; although YHWH says, ‘The innocent and righteous shall not slay.’ Now then, if you have seen her, tell me under what tree you saw them joining together? Who answered, “Under a mastic tree.” And Daniel said, “Very well. You have LIED against your own head. For even now the messenger of ELOHIM has received the sentence of ELOHIM to cut you in two. So he put him aside, and commanded to bring the other, and said to him, “O you seed of Canaan, and not of Judah, loveliness has deceived you, and lust has perverted your heart. Thus have you dealt with the daughters of Yisra’el, and they for fear joined with you. But the daughter of Judah would not abide your wickedness.”

Now therefore tell me, under what tree did you catch them joining together? Who answered, “Under an evergreen tree.” Then Daniel said to him, “Very well. You have also LIED against your own head. For the messenger of ELOHIM waits with the sword to cut you in two, that he may destroy you.” With that, all the assembly cried out with a loud voice, and praised ELOHIM, who saves those who trust in Him. And they rose up against the two elders, for Daniel convicted them of FALSE WITNESS by their own mouth. And according to the Torah of Moses, they did to them such as they had maliciously intended to do to their neighbor, and they put them to death. Thus the innocent blood was saved that very day. Therefore Hilqiyahu and his wife praised ELOHIM for their daughter Shoshanna, with Yoyaqim her husband, and all their relatives, because there was no dishonesty found in her. From that day onward, Daniel was held in high regard in the sight of the people.”

What happened to Shoshanna is a perfect example of what can happen when people bear false witness against someone, which could cost them their life or put them in jail for life for a crime they never committed. This is serious and we can why YHWH says do not bear false witness. However, those who trust in YHWH will never be put to shame.

Shavuot/Pentecost: Celebrated by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Paul

Jeremiah 5:24

“And they do not say in their heart, “Let us now revere YHWH our ELOHIM, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He guards for us the LAW: THE SHAVUOT (SHA-VOO-OAT) OF HARVEST.”

 In order for us to have a harvest of wheat or plants we need rain; and we see from the scripture of Jeremiah that YHWH gives the rain in its season to guard the Law of Shavuot, yet the people still did not revere YHWH just as many do today. The world feels obligated that food will be automatically provided for them, but we see that is all of YHWH’s provision because He guards it as a Law.

 On April 19th, which is equivalent to the 26th day of the 1st month on the Hebrew calendar, was the Sunday AFTER the Feast of Unleavened Bread when we started the counting of the omer (sheaf).  When the priest would wave the barley sheaf before YHWH to accept the future crops; which puts us at June7th on the Gregorian calendar, which is the 15th day of the 3rd month on the Hebrew calendar.

 Now we are entering into the Festival called Festival of Shavuot (Shavuot which means “weeks”), Festival of First Fruits, Festival of Weeks or Pentecost (Which means 50 in Greek).

Leviticus 23:15-16 says:

 “And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new grain offering unto YHWH.”

Exodus 23:16

“And the Festival of the Harvest, the first-fruits of your labors which you have sown in the field…”

Let’s look at Scripture to see who celebrated Shavuot!

Modern day Christianity says that the Appointed Times of YHWH are for the Jews only and that Apostle Paul did away with the law. However you will see that Paul himself observed Shavuot as all the righteous men of scripture did.

 Acts 20:16

“For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he might lose no time in Asia, for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the DAY OF THE FESTIVAL OF SHAVUOT.”

Jubilees 6:15-21 (Included in 1611 KJV Bibles)

“And He gave to Noah and his sons a sign that there should not be a flood on the earth again. He placed a rainbow in the cloud for a sign of the everlasting Covenant that there should not be a flood again on the earth to destroy it all the days of the earth. For this reason it is ordained and written on the tablets of the heavens, that they should celebrate the FESTIVAL OF SHAVUOT IN THIS MONTH (3rd month on Hebrew Calendar) ONCE A YEAR to RENEW the Covenant every year.” And this whole Festival was celebrated in the heavens from the day of creation till the days of Noah: twenty-six Jubilees and five weeks of years. And Noah and his sons OBSERVED IT for seven Jubilees and one week of years, till the day of Noah’s death. And from the day of Noah’s death his sons forsook it until the days of Abraham, and they ate blood “But Abraham observed it, and Isaac, and Jacob, and his children observed it up to your days, and in your days the children of Yisra’el forgot it until you celebrated it anew on this mountain. And you shall command the children of Yisra’el to observe this Festival in all their generations for a Command unto them; one day in the year in this month (3rd month) they shall celebrate the Festival. For it is the Festival of Shavuot AND THE FEAST OF FIRST-FRUITS: This Feast is twofold and double nature: according to what is written and engraved concerning it, celebrate it.”

 Jubilees 15:1

“And in the fifth year of the fourth week of this Jubilee, in the THIRD MONTH, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH (15th Day) Abram celebrated the Festival of the First-Fruits (Shavuot) of the grain harvest.”

 There are only 30 days in a month on the Hebrew calendar; therefore, we know that the middle of the month is the 15th day.

 Jubilees 16:13

“And she bore a son in the THIRD MONTH. And in the MIDDLE OF THE MONTH (15th Day) at the time of which YHWH had spoken to Abraham, on the Festival of the First-Fruits (Shavuot) of the Harvest, Isaac was born.”

 Jubilees 44:1-8

 “And Yisra’el (Jacob) took his journey from Haran from his house on the new moon of the THIRD MONTH, and he went on the way of Beersheba, and he offered an offering to the ELOHIM of his dad Isaac on the seventh of this month. And Jacob remembered the dream that he had seen at Beyth El, and he feared to go down to Egypt. And while he was thinking of sending word to Joseph to come to him, and that he would not go down, he remained there seven days, if it came to be he should see a vision as to whether he should remain or go down. And he celebrated the HARVEST FESTIVAL OF THE FIRST-FRUITS with old grain, for in all the land of Canaan there was not a handful of seed, for scarcity of food was over all the beasts and cattle and birds, and also over man.”

Genesis 30:14

“And Reuben went in the days of WHEAT HARVEST (Shavuot) and found love-apples in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah.”

 Tobiyah 2:1 (Included in 1611 KJV Bibles)

 “Now when I had come home again and my wife Hannah was restored to me with my son Tobi, at the FESTIVAL OF SHAVUOT-which is the holy Feast of the SEVEN WEEKS-there was a good dinner prepared for me, for which I sat down to eat.”

 As we see in one of the books that was removed from the Bible, that Tobiyah celebrated Shavuot and if you notice he says “the holy feast of the seven weeks” and we know that we counted 50 days which is 7 completed Sabbaths to arrive at the correct date of June 7th (15th day of the 3rd month). Tobiyah was a righteous man and he understood we should keep the Holy Days even while he was in exile in Nineveh.

 Leviticus 23:15-16

“And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: SEVEN COMPLETED SABBATHS, then you shall bring a new grain offering to YHWH.” This aligns exactly with what Tobiyah did.

As we can see from all the scriptures above is that Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Apostle Paul, and Tobiyah observed Shavuot, The Festival of First-Fruits aka Pentecost. Further pointing to the fact that Noah and Abraham celebrated the Feast before there ever was a Jew.

And what is the importance of this day?

The importance of this day Is ELOHIM was telling Moses that He was taking His people to a fertile land that He was giving them and would like them to acknowledge this gift. Each spring, when the harvest of the year is available the people should bring their initial crops (first-fruits) to the temple so the high priest can acknowledge them before ELOHIM. YHWH wants us to acknowledge that He has provided for us by bringing our best offering to Him; and it also shows our trust in Him by offering our best knowing that He will continue to provide and bless us, so then when Shavuot comes 50 days later they would reap a harvest of barely/wheat, which also means reaping a spiritual harvest as well.

How do we celebrate Shavuot?

 There are many traditions and celebrations that surround Shavuot/Pentecost in modern day Judaism and Christianity, such as the giving of the Torah to Moses, reading the 10 commandments, and the eating of dairy products. However, what does scripture tell us about how we are to celebrate this day as followers of our Master YESHUA?

 Shavuot/Pentecost is also a NO work day. So remember that June 7th is a High Sabbath of no work.

 Leviticus 23:21 says:

“And you shall proclaim on that same day, that it may be a holy gathering for yourselves, you do NO SERVILE WORK ON IT a Law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.”

Deuteronomy 16:10-11 says:

“And you shall perform the Feast of Shavuot/Pentecost to YHWH your ELOHIM according to the voluntary offering from your hand, which you give as YHWH your ELOHIM blessed you: And you SHALL REJOICE before YHWH your ELOHIM, you and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger; and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which YHWH your ELOHIM has chosen to place His name there.”

YHWH our ELOHIM tells us to bring a free will/voluntary offering according to the blessing He has given us as a way to say thank you (such as donation to a shelter or the homeless while in diaspora) and He also commands EVERYONE to rejoice before Him on this day. We are not to be sorrowful or in a bad mood because YHWH clearly commands us to be joyous on this day.

Deuteronomy 16:12 says:

“And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt: and you shall observe and do these Laws”

Shavuot/Pentecost is the last Moedim/Appointed Time of the spring and as you can see YHWH wants us to remember that He brought us up out of Egypt and on Shavuot we are to remember that we were slaves in Egypt. He wants us to remember this fact so that we do not backslide and forget His blessings. By having us remember that we were slaves keeps our focus on Him and His commandments so we do not become disobedient. Also the Book of Jubilees says to renew the Covenant from the flood:

Jubilees 6:16

“He placed His rainbow in the cloud for a sign of the everlasting Covenant that there should not be a flood again on the earth to destroy it all the days of the earth. For this reason it is ordained and written on the tablets of the heavens, that they should celebrate the FESTIVAL OF SHAVUOT in this month once a year, to RENEW THE COVENANT every year.”

Leviticus 23:17

“Bring from your dwellings for a wave offering two loaves of bread, of two-tenth parts of fine flour they are, BAKED WITH LEAVEN, first-fruits to YHWH.”

Shavuot is about giving thanks for the blessings of YHWH, giving a voluntary offering, rejoicing, renewing the Covenant, NO WORK, remembering that we were slaves in Egypt, baking two loaves of bread with leaven as first-fruits (the waving portion was for the priest) and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit.

Giving of the Ruach ha’Kodesh/Holy Spirit

Another important fact for this day is the promise that YESHUA gave before He ascended into heaven. YESHUA tells us in:

John 16:7

“But I say the truth to you. It is better for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you at all, but if I go, I shall send Him to you.”

It was important for YESHUA to ascend into heaven because He sent the Ruach ha’Kodesh to dwell within us and verse 13 He tells us what the Holy Spirit will do:

“But when He comes, the Ruach (Spirit) of the Truth, He shall guide you into ALL TRUTH. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come.”

The Ruach ha’Kodesh will guide us and show us truth and lead us to righteousness and how to obey the commandments just as Paul says in Romans 8 and Galatians 5. It is important to mention YESHUA’s promise of the Holy Spirit during the Festival of Shavuot because The Holy Spirit was poured out on His disciples on this very day.

 Acts 2:1-4 says:

“And when the day of SHAVUOT/Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one purpose in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Ruach ha’Kodesh/Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

The Book of Ruth is worth reading because it ties into Shavuot

 Ruth 1:22 says:

“So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country, of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of the BARLEY HARVEST (SHAVUOT).”

Another interesting connection with the Book of Ruth and Shavuot is the command that YHWH gave concerning the land, He says in:

Leviticus 23:22

“And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not make clean riddance of the corners of your field when you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of the harvest: you shall leave them for the poor, and to the stranger: I am YHWH your ELOHIM.”

YHWH made a specific command to not be greedy and clean the fields out when you reap the harvest because you are supposed to leave what is left for the poor and stranger. The connection was made in Ruth because Boaz did exactly as YHWH commanded:

Ruth 2:2-7 says:

 “And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean heads of grain AFTER him in whose sight I shall find favor. And she said unto her; Go, my daughter. And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field AFTER the reapers; as it turned out, she came to the part of the field belonging to Bo’az, the near relative of Elimelek.”

As we see Boaz was obedient to YHWH’s command from Leviticus and Ruth benefited by being able to glean over his fields and also find favor in the sight of Boaz. And a side note is that Boaz and Ruth were blessed to be in the lineage of YESHUA:

1 Chronicles 2:11-15

“Nashon brought forth Salma, and Salma brought forth Boaz; Boaz brought Obed, and Obed brought forth Yishai (Jessie); and Jessie brought forth Eliyab his first-born, and Abinadab the second, and Shim’a the third, Nethan’el the fourth, Raddai the fifth, Ostem the sixth, David the seventh.”
