Do not celebrate your BIRTHDAY: Part 2

I did a message called “Do not celebrate your birthday” about two years explaining the pagan origin of birthday traditions such as birthday cakes, making wishes and blowing out candles and how it is all deeply rooted in paganism; and that the world is just recreating these pagan rituals in our modern times instead of avoiding them. Since making the message two years ago I have received more questions about birthdays, and I have discovered more witnesses and evidence against celebrating birthdays. So we will discuss the violence that occurred on birthdays and where it started.

More violence on birthdays!

As mentioned in the first message there were only two men mentioned in scripture to have celebrated their birthdays and that was Pharaoh and king Herod; and on both of their birthday’s blood was shed. Nowhere in scripture do we see any righteous men or women in scripture celebrating their day of birth, but rather we see men who are not walking in covenant with YAHWEH who do.

Genesis 40:20-22 (Aramaic Peshitta)

And it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a banquet for all his servants; and he remembered the chief butler and the chief baker among his servants. And he restored the chief butler to his position; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hands: but he crucified the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.”

EVERY Egyptian attached much importance to the day, and even to the hour of his birth: and it is probable that in Persia ... each individual kept his birthday with great rejoicing, welcoming all of his friends with all the amusements of society, and a more than usual profusion of the delicacies of the table." - M'Clintock & Strong's Cyclopedia, Vol I, p. 817

History of Birthdays: Why we Celebrate, written in 2021 says:

While many cultures developed birthday celebrations separately, the EGYPTIANS were the FIRST ONES to get the party started. When Egyptian pharaohs were crowned gods, they were “birthed.” That means the first birthday celebration wasn’t marking the birth of a human, but rather the birth of a god.”

The earliest mention of birthdays was in 3,000 BC in reference to the Pharaoh, which shows its pagan origin of birthdays beginning in Egypt; and our Father YAHWEH warns us walking in the ways of the Egyptians:

Leviticus 18:3-4

You shall NOT do according to the doings of the land of Egypt wherein you dwelt, neither shall you do according to the doings of the land of Canaan wither I bring you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances. But you shall do My judgements and keep my commandments and walk in them; I am YAHWEH your ELOHIM.”

So when people are celebrating their birthdays they are essentially doing what the children of Yisra’el did in wanting to go back to Egypt and slavery all over again:

Numbers 14:4

And they said one to another, let us appoint a leader, and let us RETURN to Egypt.”

Deuteronomy 17:16

But he shall not multiply horses to himself, that he may not cause the people to RETURN TO EGYPT, when his horses have multiplied; since YAHWEH has said to you, YOU SHALL NEVER RETURN THAT WAY AGAIN.”

We cannot go back to Egypt, the house of bondage, and do according to their practices and customs! YAHWEH makes this clear in Leviticus 18:3-4.

Mathew 14:6-11 (Aramaic English New Testament)

But when the birthday of Herodus occurred, the daughter of Herodias danced before the guests and she pleased Herodus. Because of this, by an oath he swore to her that he would give to her anything that she requested. And because she was taught by her mother, she said, “Give to me the head of Yochanan the Immerser (John the Baptist) on a plate.” And it saddened the king because of the oath and the guests. He commanded that it be given to her and he sent and cut off the head of Yochanan in prison.”

2 Maccabees 6:7

And in the day of the king’s (Antiochus Epiphanes) birth every month they were brought by bitter constraint to eat the sacrifices; and when the fast of Bacchus was kept, the Jews were compelled to go in procession to Bacchus.”

Scholars agree that the Greeks learned the pagan celebration of birthdays from the Egyptians as noted above the origin of birthdays began in Egypt; and we see here Antiochus Epiphanes worshipped a pagan Greek deity called Bacchus the deity of fertility, but also notice that he forced Jews to eat meat sacrificed to idols on his birthday EVERY MONTH.

W. Schmidt wrote “Greeks did celebrate their birthdays MONTHLY.” In a book where he talks about the sacrifices and other observances in the Hellenistic monarchies on the monthly birthdays of the kings. And we know this is true based on the scripture from 2 Maccabees 6 about Antiochus celebrating his birthday every month.

The Anchor bible-II Maccabees, Jonathan A. Goldstein, 1983 page 268 writes the following information concerning rituals of birthday celebrations:

On the MONTHLY BIRTHDAY of the king (Greek king), Jews were cruelly compelled to partake of the meat of pagan sacrifices. When a festival of Dionysus was celebrated, they were forced to put on wreaths of Ivy and march in the procession in honor the deity. A decree was published in the neighboring Greek cities, on the proposal of the citizens of Ptolemais, that they proceed against the Jews in the same manner and compel them to partake of the meat of pagan sacrifices and that they butcher those Jews who refused to go over to the Greek way of life. The G-O-D worship was a birthday ritual. These sacrifices were to demons and these Jews were fully aware of this fact.”

Deuteronomy 32:17

They sacrificed to demons, not to ELOHIM, to mighty ones they had not known, to newly arrived mighty ones, which your ancestors did not know.”

The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, revised by Geoffrey W. Bromiley, 1979, page 515 says:

“There is evidence for birthday celebrations in Greece and Persia. Herodotus refers to the birthday celebrations of individuals, a special meal (Persian Wars i.133); and the king, an annual royal banquet with the dispensing of GIFTS to his subjects. The pre-Hellenistic Greeks celebrated the birthdays of GOD AND PROMINENT MEN. The Greek genethlia (the science of calculating nativities, or predicting the future events of life from the stars which preside at birth) designated these celebrations, while genesia meant a celebration commemorative of the birthday of a DECEASED IMPORTANT INDIVIDUAL.”

We see birthdays attached to worship of pagan deities and celebration of the dead, which shows that birthdays are on par with Halloween’s celebration of the dead. We also can see the self-idolatry of kings who celebrated their birthday each month and many in the world today are absorbed with themselves becoming lovers of self, and would love to celebrate themselves once a month.

2 Timothy 3:2

For men will be LOVERS OF THEMSELVES, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy…”

Josephus writes more about the violence that occurred on birthdays: Josephus writes in the “Jewish War, VII)

While Titus remained at Caesarea, he celebrated his brother Domitian’s birthday with great splendor, putting over 2,500 prisoners (Jewish captives) to death in the games with beasts and flames. After this he moved to Berytus (Beirut), a Roman colony in Phoenicia, where he celebrated his father’s birthday by killing many more captives at elaborate exhibitions.”

Josephus again writes in “Against Apion, chapter 26, page 632

Nay, indeed, the law does not permit us to make festivals at the births of our children…”

More scriptural evidence

Yashar (Jasher) 8:1

And it was in the night that Abram was BORN, that all the servants of Terah, and all the wise men of Nimrod, and his MAGICIANS came and ate and drank in the house of Terah, and they rejoiced with him on that night.”

Now Abraham was a newborn infant and he could not do physically do anything to prevent his dad from celebrating his birth, but we see that Abraham was clearly opposed to his dad being an idol worshipper through scripture when he grew older. The context of this scripture shows that Terah celebrated Abraham’s birthday and he was a known IDOL WORSHIPPER and we see that magicians were celebrating with him; therefore, Terah was familiar with this pagan practice of idolatry/self-idolatry.

Joshua 24:2

And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says YAHWEH ELOHIM of Yisra’el, your ancestors dwelt on the other side of the river Euphrates in olden times, even Terah, the dad of Abraham and of Nachor; AND THEY SERVED THERE OTHER MIGHTY ONES.”

Jasher 9:7-8

And the king and all his servants, and Terah with all his household were then the first of those that served elohim of wood and stone. And Terah had twelve elohim of large size, made of wood and stone, after the twelve new moons of the new moon, and every new moon Terah would bring his meat offering and drink offering to his elohim; so Terah did ALL THE DAYS.”

Now let’s see how clearly opposed Abraham was of his dad’s idol worship:

Jubilees 12:1-6

And it happened in the sixth week, in the seventh year, that Abram said to Terah his father, “father!” And he said, “Behold, here am I, my son.” And he said, What help and profit do we get from those idols which you worship and bow yourself down before? For there is no spirit in them. For they are dumb likenesses, and a misleading of the heart. Do not worship them. Worship the ELOHIM of heaven, who causes the rain and the dew to descend on the earth, and does everything upon the earth. He has created everything by His word, and all life is from before His face. Why do you worship things that have no spirit in them? For they are the work of human hands, and you carry them on your shoulders. And you have no help from them. But they are a great cause of shame to those who make them, and a misleading of the heart to those who worship them. Do not worship them.”

Jasher 10:14-17

And Abram knew YAHWEH, and he went in His ways and corrections, and YAHWEH his ELOHIM was with him. And Terah his father was still captain of the host of king Nimrod in those days, and he still followed other elohim, of wood and stone. And Abram came to his father’s house and saw twelve elohim standing there in their temples, and the ANGER of Abram was kindled when he saw these images in his father’s house. And Abram said, “As YAHWEH lives these images shall not remain in my father’s house! So shall ELOHIM wo created me do to me, if in three days’ time I do not break them all!”

Although Abraham could not help the fact his dad celebrated his birthday as an infant, we can see Abraham would clearly have been against it as an adult, just as we see he hated his dad idols and destroyed them, he would have hated self-idolatry as well. If you grew up celebrating birthdays and know the truth then it is time to stop, also it’s time to stop making excuses to let your child have fun and “be a child” by allowing them to partake of this evil celebration. It’s the job of the parents to teach the children which way they should go and teach them about YAHWEH and His Ways as commanded in Deuteronomy 6:4-9, not to let the world or the children dictate to the parent to partake in paganism. It is a celebration of the world that originated in Egypt and means you love the world and it’s ways, so let it not be!

James 4:4

You adulterers, don’t you know that the love of the world is hatred towards ELOHIM? Therefore who chooses to be a lover of this world is the ENEMY OF ELOHIM.”

1 John 2:15

Love not the world nor anything in it; for whoever loves the world has not the love of the Father in him. For all that is in the world the lust of the body and the lust of the eyes and the pride of the world, which are NOT FROM THE FATHER but from the world itself.”

Which goes back to the very beginning, that there is no mention in scripture of YESHUA, the disciples, or any righteous man in scripture every celebrating their birthdays. Rather we see violence, self-worship, and worship of pagan deities and birthday celebrations of the dead. Does this sound like something a follower of YESHUA should be partaking in? The answer again in “Part 2 of celebrating birthdays” is, NO!

As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

What does “Blessed are those who mourn” really mean?

When someone passes away in this life, we look for ways and words to comfort them because we really do care about them. One of the scriptures that is used is “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” is this what YESHUA was referring to? We know that our ELOHIM will comfort those who have lost a loved one because He is a loving ELOHIM. When we read the scripture notice YESHUA says that those who are mourning are blessed, so what was He referring to?

Isaiah 61:1-4

The Spirit of YAHWEH is upon Me, because YAHWEH has anointed Me and set me to preach good tidings to the meek; to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to prisoners; to proclaim the acceptable year of YAHWEH, and the day of the salvation of our ELOHIM; to comfort all that MOURN; to give to the MOURNERS OF ZION beauty instead of ashes, perfume instead of MOURNING, a cloak of beauty instead of the spirit of heaviness; they shall be called men of righteousness, the planting of YAHWEH, which is glorious. And they shall build the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”

YESHUA is referring to those who weep and mourn for Zion, the destruction of the Temple and those who were taken into captivity, and we will see later why those who mourn for the destruction of Jerusalem will be blessed and why they will be comforted.

Mourning over Zion

I will be quoting scriptures from 2 Esdras and 2 Baruch to show why they were lamenting. Here, Ezra had a vision of a woman who lost her son and tells her that mourning for Zion was greater cause of concern.

2 Esdras 9:38-10:24

When I said these things in my heart, I lifted up my eyes and saw a woman on my right, and she was MOURNING and weeping with a loud voice, and was deeply grieved at heart, and her clothes were rent, and there were ashes on her head. Then I dismissed the thoughts with which I had been engaged, and turned to her and said to her, “Why are you weeping, and why are you grieved at heart? And she said to me, “Let me alone, my master, that I may weep for myself and continue to mourn, for I am greatly embittered in spirit and deeply afflicted.” And I said to her, “What has happened to you? Tell me.” And she said to me, “Your servant was barren and had no child, though I lived with my husband thirty years. And so every day and every hour during those thirty years I besought the Most High. And it came to pass after thirty years, ELOHIM heard your handmaid, and looked upon my affliction, an considered my distress, and gave me a son. And I rejoiced greatly over him, I and my husband and all my townsfolk; and we gave great glory to the Mighty One. And I brought him up with much care. So when he grew up and I came to take a wife for him, I set a day for the marriage feast. But it happened that when my son entered his wedding chamber, he fell down and died. Then we put out the lamps, and all my townsfolk attempted to console me; and I remained quiet until evening of the second day. But when they all had stopped consoling me, that I might be quiet, I got up in the night and fled, and came to this field, as you see. And now I intend not to return to the city, but to stay here, and I will neither eat nor drink, but without ceasing mourn and fast until I die.”

“Then I broke off the reflections with which I was engaged, and answered her in anger, and said, “You most foolish of women, do you not see our MOURNING, AND WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US? For ZION, THE MOTHER OF US ALL, IS IN DEEP GRIEF AND GREAT AFFLICITION. It is most appropriate to MOURN NOW, because WE ARE ALL MOURNING, and to be sorrowful, because we are all sorrowing; you, however, are sorrowing for one son. Now ask the earth, and she will tell you that it is she who ought to mourn over so many who have come into being upon her. And from the beginning all have been born of her, and others will come; and behold, all go to perdition, and a multitude of them are destined for destruction. Who then ought to MOURN MORE, she who lost so great a multitude, or you who are grieving for one? But if you say to me, “My lamentation is not like the earth’s sadness for I have lost the fruit of my womb, which I brought forth in pain and in sorrow; but it is with the earth according to the way of the earth the multitude that is now in it goes as it came; then I say to you, ‘As you brought forth in sorrow, so the earth also has from the beginning given her fruit, that is, man, to Him who made her. Now, therefore, keep your sorrow to yourself, and bear bravely the troubles that have come upon you. For if you acknowledge the decree of ELOHIM to be just, you will receive your son back in due time, and will be praised among women.” Therefore go into the city to your husband.” She said to me, “I will not do so, nor will I go into the city, but I will die here.”

(Ezra’s lament over Zion)

So I spoke again to her, and said, “Do not do that thing, but let yourself be persuaded because of the troubles of ZION, and be consoled because of the sorrow of Jerusalem. For you see that our sanctuary has been laid waste, our altar thrown down, our temple destroyed; our harp has been laid low, our song has been silenced, our rejoicing has been ended; the light of our lampstand has been put out, the ark of the covenant has been plundered, our holy things have been polluted, and the name by which we are called has been profaned; our free men have suffered abuse, our priests have been burned to death, our Levites have gone into captivity; our virgins have been defiled, our wives have been ravished, our righteous men have been carried off, our little ones have been cast out, our young men have been enslaved, our strong men made powerless. And, what is more than all, the seal of ZION-for she has now lost the sea of her glory, and has been given over into the hands of those that hate us. Therefore shake off your great sadness and lay aside your many sorrows, so that the Mighty One may be merciful to you, and the Most High may give you rest from your troubles.”

The woman that Ezra saw was Zion who was weeping over her son which was symbolic of no offering had been in her for 3,000 years (see verse 45). But verse 39 gives the entire context which says, “For He (YAHWEH) has seen your righteous conduct, that you have sorrowed greatly for your people, AND MOURNED GREATLY OVER ZION.”

2 Baruch 1:1-3:6

The twenty-fifth year of Jeconiah, Kind of Judah, the word of YAHWEH was upon Baruch, son of Neriah, and he said to him: “You have seen everything that this people has done to Me The evils which these two tribes (Judah and Benjamin, House of Judah) that remained have done are more than those of the ten tribes that were led captive (House of Israel). For the former tribes were forced by their kings to sin, but these two have been forcing and compelling their kings to sin. Therefore, see, I am bringing evil upon this city and upon its inhabitants. It will be REMOVED from Me for a time (70 years of Babylonian Captivity). I am scattering this people among the nations, so that it will do good to the nations. My people will be chastised, and the time will come when they will seek the prosperity of their times. For I have told you these things so that you may tell Jeremiah and all those who are like you to go away from this city, because your works are for this, city like a firm pillar and your prayers like a strong wall.” And I said: “O YAHWEH, my Master, have I come into the world for this, that I SHOULD SEE THE EVIL OF MY MOTHER? No, my Master.”

What mother is Baruch referring to? Ezra gave us that answer is 2 Esdras 10:7

“For ZION, THE MOTHER OF US ALL, IS IN DEEP GRIEF AND GREAT AFFLICITION.”

2 Baruch continued:

Verse 2 “If I have found mercy in your eyes, TAKE FIRST MY SOUL, so that I will go to my fathers and will not see the DESTRUCTION OF MY MOTHER (ZION). Because two things greatly press on me: that to resist you I cannot; what is more my SOUL CANNOT LOOK AT THE EVIL OF MY MOTHER. For one thing I will say before You, YAHWEH: What, therefore, will be after these things? For if you destroy Your city, and you hand your land over to those who hate us, how will the name of Yisra’el again be remembered? Or how will we speak about your glories? Or to whom will be explained what is in Your Torah?”

2 Baruch 5:1-6:2

And I answered and said: “Will I therefore be guilty on account of Zion, that those who hate you will come to this place and defile Your sanctuary, and take your inheritance into captivity and rule over those whom You love, and will again go to the place of their idols and boast before them? And what have You done for Your great Name? And YAHWEH said to me: “My Name and My praise-they are unto eternity. For My judgement reserves its right in its time. And you will see with your eyes that the enemies are not demolishing Zion and that they are not burning down Jerusalem but that they are serving the Judge for a time. You, then, go and do everything I have told you.” And I went and took Jeremiah, Adu, Seriah, Jabesh, Gedaliah, and the nobles of the people, and brought them to the Kidron Valley, and I told them everything that had been said to me. And they raised their voices AND ALL OF THEM WEPT. And we sat there and fasted until evening. And on the next day, see, the Chaldean army surrounded the city. And at evening time I Baruch, left the people, went out, and stood by the oak. I was GRIEVING OVER ZION and GROANING over the captivity that has come upon the people.”

2 Baruch 8:4-10:7

And after these things, the Chaldean army entered and seized the house and everything around it. They led the people away captive and killed some of them. They bound King Zedekiah and sent him to the king of Babylon. And I, Baruch, came, and Jeremiah, whose heart was found pure of sins, who had not been captured during the seizing of the city. We TORE OUR GARMENTS, AND WEPT, AND MOURNED, AND FASTED SEVEN DAYS. And after seven days, the word of YAHWEH was upon me and said to me: “Say to Jeremiah to go and support the captivity of the people unto Babylon. You, however, remain here amid the DEVESTATION OF ZION, and I am showing you after these days what will befall at the end of days. And I spoke to Jeremiah as YAHWEH commanded me. Then he went with the people, whereas I, Baruch, turned back, came, and sat in front of the gates of the temple. And I LAMENTED THIS LAMENTATION OVER ZION, saying: Blessed is he who is not born, or he who was born and has died. But as for us, we are who alive-WOE unto us, for we have seen the SORROWS OF ZION AND WHAT HAS BEFALLEN JERUSALEM.”

Lamentations of Jeremiah

1:1-8

How does the city sit solitary that was full of people! How is she become like a widow! She that was so great among the nations, and she that was a princess of the cities has become a tributary! She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears run on her cheek (later Zion rejoices see Isaiah 66:10); among all her lovers she has none to comfort her; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they have become her enemies. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction and because of great servitude she dwells among the gentiles, she finds no rest; all her pursuers overtook her in the midst of her affliction. The ways of Zion MOURN because none come to the solemn feasts; all her gates are desolate;; her priests sigh, her virgins are humbled, and she is in bitterness. Her oppressors have become her rulers, and her adversaries have made an end of her; for YAHWEH has afflicted her from the multitude of her sins; her children are gone into captivity before the oppressor. And from the daughter of Zion all her splendor is departed; her princes have become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer. Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and of her chastisement all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the oppressor and she had none to help her, her oppressors saw her, and mocked at her destruction. Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she has become an abomination; all who honored her, despise her, because they see her nakedness; yea, she sighs and turns backward.”

2 Baruch 35:1-35:5

And I, Baruch, went to the holy place, and I sat on its ruins, and I WEPT and said: O that my eyes were springs and my eyelids a fountain of tears. FOR HOW SHALL I GROAN OVER ZION, and how shall I MOURN OVER JERUSALEM? Because at this place where I am prostrate now, formerly the high priests were offering holy sacrifices and were placing thereon incense of fragrant odors. Now, however, our pride has been made into dust and the desire of our soul into sand.”

Those who mourn will be comforted in New Jerusalem

We are blessed because we await the promise of YAHWEH which is the New Jerusalem and will be gathered with our brethren who are scattered to the four corners. We will be restored back to our home that our ancestors mourned over during their days of exile.

Isaiah 66:10-13

REJOICE with JERUSALEM and be GLAD WITH HER, all you who LOVE HER; rejoice in joy with her, all you who MOURN OVER HER, that you may suck and be satisfied with the COMFORT of her breasts; that you may milk out and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. For thus says YAHWEH: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, like an overflowing torrent; and you shall suck the glory of the gentiles; and you shall be carried on the litters and be dandled upon the knees; as one whom his mother COMFORTS, so I WILL COMFORT you, and you shall be COMFORTED IN JERUSALEM.”

Now going back and looking at YESHUA’s words we can see the context of what He was saying:

Mathew 5:4

Blessed are they who are MOURNING, because they will be COMFORTED.”

2 Baruch 4:1-4:6

And YAHWEH said to me: “This city is delivered up for a time, and the people are chastised during a time, and the world is not forgotten. Or do you perhaps think that this is the city about which I said: On the palms of My hands I have inscribed you.”

Isaiah 49:16

Behold, I have inscribed you upon the palms of My hands; your fortified walls are continually BEFORE ME (New Jerusalem).”

2 Baruch (continued) “This building that is now built in your midst is NOT THE ONE REVEALED WITH ME (The New Jerusalem), the one ALREADY PREPARED HERE WHEN I INTENDED TO MAKE PARADISE. And I showed it to Adam before he sinned, but when he transgressed the commandment, it was taken away from him, as was also Paradise. And after these things, I showed it to my servant Abraham, by night, between the halves of the sacrifices. And furthermore, I also showed it to Moses on Mount Sinai when I showed him the likeness of the tabernacle and of all its implements. And now, see, it is PRESERVED WITH ME, AS IS ALSO PARADISE. Go, therefore, and do as I am commanding you.”

YAHWEH revealed the New Jerusalem to our ancestors and it is preserved with Him, and those who endure until the end will see and dwell in it, for this is the reward that is promised and what our ancestors saw and knew what was to come and what we hope for.

Revelation 21:1-2

And I saw NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH: for the former heaven and the former earth has passed away: and the sea was no more. And I saw the HOLY CITY, THE NEW JERUSALEM, DESCENDING FROM ELOHIM OUT OF HEAVEN, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.”

2 Baruch 31:32:5

And after these things, I went to the people and said to them: “Assemble for me all your elders and I will say a few words to you.” And all of them assembled by the Kidron Valley. And I answered and said to them: “Hear (Shema), O Yisra’el, and I will speak to you, and you, seed of Jacob, listen, and I will instruct you. Do not forget Zion, but remember the sorrows of Jerusalem. For, see, days are coming and everything that is will be taken to destruction, and it will be as if it had not been. You, however, if you prepare your hearts and sow in them the fruits of the Torah, the Mighty One will protect you in that time to come, Who will shake up all of creation. Because after a short time, the building of Zion will be shaken, in order to be built again. But that building will not remain, but will again be uprooted after a time and will remain desolate until the time. And after that, it must be RENEWED IN GLORY AND COMLPLETED FOREVER (New Jerusalem). Therefore, we do not have to be saddened so much over the evil that has come now as over that which is yet to be (Baruch is comforting them with the truth of the New Jerusalem).”

2 Baruch 44:2-44:8

See, I will go to my fathers as is the way of all the age. But you, do not withdraw from the way of the Torah but keep it and warn the people who are left, lest they withdraw from the commandments of the Mighty One. For you see that He is just whom we serve, and our Creator shows no partiality. See what has befallen Zion and what happened to Jerusalem, because the judgment of the Mighty One will be known through this and His ways are inscrutable (unsearchable) and right. For if you endure and remain in His fear and do not forget His Torah, times will change for you for the better, and you will see the consolation (COMFORT received by a person after a loss or disappointment) of Zion. Because what is now is nothing (physical Jerusalem), but what will be (New Jerusalem) is VERY GREAT.”

Be comforted all my brothers and sisters who mourn for Zion knowing that the New Jerusalem will comfort all of us as we return home to be with YAHWEH and YESHUA! As always, may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Have we been taught to do this wrong?

I wanted to share something that jumped out at me and have been led to share with you all. We know that we have been lied to in this world about pretty much everything and we have to unlearn what we have been taught, so is the way we pray one of them? It’s important because it is something that we do everyday and our communication line to our Father YAHWEH! We have been taught to clasp our hands together, bow our heads and close our eyes; and some people say that they pray in their head so that Satan will not hear their prayers and snatch them away. As always it is my goal to examine the scriptures and to follow in the footsteps of our righteous ancestors. We will be discussing, should we pray in our head? Should clasp our hands together? Should we bow our heads? Should our eyes be closed?

Praying out loud

This does not mean yelling for the world to hear, but we should be able to hear ourselves as we pray.

1 Samuel 1:12-17

And it came to pass, as she continued praying before YAHWEH, that Eli watched her MOUTH. Now Hannah spoke in her heart only, and her lips moved, but her VOICE WAS NOT HEARD; therefore Eli thought her to be drunk. And Eli said to her, how long will you be drunk? Put away your wine from you. Hannah answered and said to him, no, my master, I am a woman full of grief; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before YAHWEH. Count not your maidservant in your presence a wicked woman; for out of the abundance of my sorrow and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said to her, go in peace; and the ELOHIM of Yisra’el grant you the petition that you have asked Him.”

Now, trust me, I’m not saying YAHWEH will not hear your prayers if you don’t pray out loud because He heard Hannah, plus we see that her lips were moving. The context of this entire scripture is that it was UNCOMMON that a person would pray and not be heard praying, this is the reason why Eli thought she was drunk because her lips were moving but he heard no words, so this means the words of our prayers can be heard. This doesn’t mean you have to shout out loud but just enough that you can hear your voice, just as we see in the next witness from the 12 Patriarchs.

Testament of Joseph 9:3-4

And if a man lives in self-control, and also desires glory, and the Most High knows that it is beneficial for him, He gives this also to men, and to me. How often, though she were sick, did she come down to me at times she was not sought, AND LISTENED TO MY VOICE AS I PRAYED!”

This scripture confirms that it was uncommon for the voices of a person not to be heard while they were praying, and we know that Joseph was a righteous man and when he prayed the Potiphar’s wife would come to visit him while in jail unwanted, and she would listen to him pray.

Hands spread out toward heaven and not clasped together

One of the biggest traditions I have seen and one that we all have grown up doing is praying with our hands together with fingers interlocked; however, when we read scripture we see the exact opposite of that, rather we see their hands spread out towards the heavens, and there has to be a spiritual connection with this.

Kind of like Moses in Exodus 17 while he was on the mountain holding his hands with the assistance of Aaron and Hur while Joshua was fighting Amalek, though he wasn’t praying his hands were lifted up, and when his hands were lifted up, they would win, but when his hands dropped, they would lose. Could it be that prayers are not as effective if your hands aren’t lifted up like Moses during the battle? Could it be that victory is associated with raised hands? Is this why we have been taught to close our hands and interlock our fingers together when we pray to take away the effectiveness of prayer? It’s not far-fetched to think so, let us not forget what Revelation 12:9 in the Aramaic Peshitta.

Revelation 12:9

And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent who is called the Deceiver, and Satan, who SEDUCES all the inhabited world: he was cast upon the earth and his messengers were cast out with him.”

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “seducing” as to persuade disobedience or disloyalty, to lead astray usually by persuasion or false promises.

Satan has seduced the world to do everything opposite of what the scriptures say because he perverts it, so our goal is to get back on the ancient path of worship.

Exodus 17:9-13

And Moses said to Joshua, choose for yourself men, and go out, fight with Amalek tomorrow; and I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of ELOHIM in my hand. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and he went to fight with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses LIFTED UP HIS HAND, Yisra’el PREVAILED; and when he LET DOWN HIS HANDS, Amalek PREVAILED. But Moses’ hands became tired; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat upon it; and Aaron and Hur SUPPORTED HIS HANDS, the one on one side, and the other on the other side; and HIS HANDS WERE STEADY UNTIL THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN. And Joshua defeated Amalek with the edge of the sword.”

I believe that raising hands in prayer has the same effect and power as it did when Moses lifted up his hands in the battle with Amalek. Let’s examine other scriptures to see other witnesses in support of this.

Exodus 9:27-28

Then Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time; YAHWEH is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. PRAY before YAHWEH, for there is yet a chance for forgiveness in His presence that there be no more mighty thundering’s and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer. And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will STRETCH FORTH MY HANDS TO YAHWEH; and the thunder shall cease and there shall be no more hail, that you may know that the earth belongs to YAHWEH.”

And Jacob PRAYED to YAHWEH for his sons, and he SPREAD FORTH HIS HANDS TO YAHWEH, and he said…”

Jasher 52:26

And Jacob rose up from his sons and SPREAD FORTH HIS HANDS AND PRAYED TO YAHWEH on account of his sons…”

2 Maccabees 3:19-20

And the women, girded with sackcloth under their breasts, abounded in the streets and the virgins that were guarded ran, some to the gates and some to the walls and others looked out of the windows. And ALL, HOLDING THEIR HANDS TOWARD HEAVEN, MADE SUPPLICATION.”

1 Timothy 2:8

I desire then that in EVERY PLACE the men should PRAY, LIFTING HOLY HANDS (not clasped together) without anger or quarreling.”

Psalms 28:2

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto You, when I LIFT UP MY HANDS TOWARD YOUR HOLY TEMPLE.”

Psalms 143:6

I STRETCH FORTH MY HANDS TO YOU; my soul thirsts after You, as a thirsty land.”

Lamentations 2:19

And at the ninth hour I rose up from my sorrow; and having torn my garments, I fell upon my knees and SPREAD OUT MY HANDS IN PRAYER BEFORE YAHWEH ELOHIM…”

Daniel 12:7

And I heard the man clothed in costly array who stood above the waters of the river. He held up his RIGHT HAND AND HIS LEFT HAND TO HEAVEN, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half a time; and when holy people are delivered, all these things shall be fulfilled.”

Job 11:13

If you make your heart right, AND STRETCH OUT YOUR HANDS TOWARD HIM…”

Deuteronomy 32:39-40

See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no Elohim besides Me; I cause men to die, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and there is none that can escape out of My hands. For I LIFT UP MY HAND TO HEAVEN and say, I live forever.”

Though YAHWEH has no need to pray and prays to no one, there is the connection that we see Him using the same stretching of the hands to the heavens as His creation should be doing when praying to Him, so we see the importance of it and the consistency of raising hands all throughout scripture.

Luke 24:50

And He (YESHUA) took them out up to Beth-Anya and RAISED HIS HANDS AND BLESSED THEM.”

Praying looking into heaven

We have also been taught to close our eyes and bow our heads while praying, I’m not going to say that it is wrong, I would suggest taking this into prayer, the goal is to show with witnesses that YESHUA and our ancestors looked upwards, and I will include one scripture of YESHUA praying on His face.

Ezra 9:5-6

And at the ninth hour I rose up from my sorrow; and having torn my garments, I fell upon my knees and spread out my hands in prayer before YAHWEH ELOHIM, and said, O my ELOHIM, we are ashamed to LIFT UP OUR FACES TO YOU, OUR ELOHIM; for our iniquities are increased over our head and our great sins have reached to the very heavens.”

Firstly, Ezra considered the sins of his people as his own, even though he did not commit the sin. And secondly, Ezra says that they are too ashamed to look up into the heavens due to sin, which implies that they were looking up into the heavens with hands raised while praying before this point.

Luke 18:10-13

Two men went up to the temple to PRAY-one a Pharisee and other a publican (A Jewish tax collector for the Romans). And the Pharisee was standing by himself, and he would PRAY this way, “ELOHIM, I thank you that I am not like the rest of the people, extortioners, and covetous, and adulterers, nor like this publican. Rather, I fast two times a week and I tithe everything that I earn. But the publican was standing from afar and did not even desire to RAISE HIS EYES TO HEAVEN, rather, he was beating upon his breast and said, ‘ELOHIM have compassion on me a sinner!”

In context we see that they both went to the temple to pray, and the publican did not lift up his eyes to the heavens because of shame like we read in Ezra, which means that the Pharisee did look into heaven. The Pharisee wasn’t wrong for looking into the heavens, it was his boastful, self-righteous attitude is why he was wrong.

YESHUA is our example, and we are to walk like Him:

Luke 9:16

And YESHUA took those five loaves of bread and two fish and GAZED INTO HEAVEN and BLESSED them and broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the crowds.”

Mark 6:41

And He took those five loves of bread and two fish, and He LOOKED TO HEAVEN AND BLESSED and broke the bread and gave it to the disciples to place before them”

John 11:41

And they took away that stone and YESHUA LIFTED HIS EYES UPWARDS and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me and I know that you always hear Me, but because this crowd that stands here I say these things that they might believe that you have sent Me.”

John 17:1

YESHUA spoke these things and He LIFTED UP HIS EYES TO HEAVEN and said, “My Father the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so that Your Son might glorify You.”

The only time I recall YESHUA falling on His face to pray was when He was distressed knowing that Psalms 22 prophecy was getting ready to occur before being delivered up to be crucified.

Mathew 26:39

And He went a little further and fell upon His face and was praying and said “My Father if it is possible, let this cup pass over Me. Nevertheless, not as I will but as You will.”

Jubilees 25:11

And then she (Rebecca) LIFTED UP HER FACE TO THE HEAVENS and extended the fingers of her hands…”

Psalms 123:1

To You LIFT I UP MINE EYES, O thou that dwellest in the heaven.”

Daniel 4:33-34

The same hour the word was fulfilled upon King Nebuchadnezzar; and he was driven from among men, and did eat grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hair grew like eagles’ feathers and his nails like bird’s claws. And when the days were filled, I, Nebuchadnezzar, LIFTED UP MY EYES TO HEAVEN, and my sense was restored to me, and I BLESSED the Most High and I praised and glorified Him who lives forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion and whose kingdom is from generation to generation…”

Even Nebuchadnezzar lifted up his eyes to heaven to bless YAHWEH after being humbled and he did not even know YAHWEH up until that point.

Also, nowhere in scripture do we see the eyes being closed while praying. Interestingly, people.howstuffworks.com says this:

By closing your eyes during prayer, you may be continuing a ritual whose roots are steeped in history. Long ago, looking directly at a king or any ruler was considered insolent. The proper response when appearing before a ruler was to close your eyes or, if you were feeling really daring, look downward. Failing to do so could launch an unfortunate chain of events that might end with a sleepover in the dungeon or a date with the guillotine.

Adopting a deferential pose -- in other words, closing your eyes -- during prayer became an appropriate way to show humility, something that was especially important when asking for mercy. Today, it's a common posture for prayers of all kinds.

So, it appears it is based off of a ritual that is not rooted in scripture, as stated before I have not seen examples supporting eyes being closed during prayer. And they look downwards away from the king because it was considered rude, but yet we see YAHWEH is the opposite, He wants us to look up to Him, call upon His Name, and come boldly to the throne through His Son YESHUA!

It is my prayer that this message will strengthen your prayer life as you change your posture while praying the way YESHUA and our ancestors did. Especially with the days ahead we will need the power of our prayers to be heard for all around the world. As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Know that YAHWEH is fighting for YOU!

I would like to encourage all my brothers and sisters to keep clinging to YESHUA and do not let get go; and know that our Father YAHWEH is fighting for you in ways that you cannot even fathom. We often look at everything from a physical standpoint, but we have to remember that the spiritual realm is more real than we are. There are many scriptures to choose to show what our ELOHIM can do, I chose the ones that stood out that most people may not have seen, heard of, our thought about.

Deuteronomy 32:30

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Mighty One had delivered them to their enemies, and YAHWEH had hemmed them in?”

To put this in perspective think of one or two men going up against 10,000 people in battle and those 10,000 people look at those two men, yet they see a great army of 50,000 great warriors behind them, but the two men don’t see those 50,000 men behind them which causes those 10,000 men to take off running for fear of their lives. This is why YAHWEH always says be strong and of a good courage because all He wants is His children to trust in Him and His power, this is why He was so pleased with Joshua son of Nun and Caleb for saying that they could fight against the giants and win because they knew that YAHWEH was with them. This is the power that our Father YAHWEH has, and He can cause visions, fear, and frustration amongst anyone to protect His children. And even if they don’t manifest physically we know that they are always there in the spiritual realm as we see when Elisha prayed for YAHWEH to open up the eyes of his servant.

2 Kings 6:15-17

And when the servant of the prophet of ELOHIM arose early and went out, behold, an army surrounded the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant, said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? And he said to him, fear not; for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. And Elisha prayed to YAHWEH and said, O YAHWEH, open his eyes that he may see. And YAHWEH opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw; and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

These are some beautiful scriptures to always remember in time of trouble or fear that our Father YAHWEH defends those who are His. Now, we will take a look at more examples to encourage you.

Jasher 32:16-40

And Jacob prayed to YAHWEH his ELOHIM, and he said, “O YAHWEH ELOHIM of my ancestors, Abraham and Isaac, You spoke to me when I went away from my dads house, saying, I am YAHWEH ELOHIM of your father Abraham and the ELOHIM of Isaac; I give this land to you and your seed after you, and I will make your seed as the stars of the heavens, and you shall spread forth to the four winds of the heavens, and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ And You established Your words, and gave me riches and children and cattle; as the utmost desires of my heart You have given to Your servant; You gave me all that I asked from You, so that I lacked nothing. And You afterward said to me, ‘Return to your parents and to your birthplace and I will still do well with you. And now that I have come, and You delivered me from Laban, I shall fall in the hands of Esaw who will slay me, yes, together with the mothers of my children. Now therefore, O YAHWEH ELOHIM, deliver me, I ask You, from the hands of my brother Esaw, for I am greatly afraid of him.”

Verse 28 And YAHWEH sent three messengers of the exalted messengers, and they went before Esaw and came to him. And these messengers APPEARED TO ESAW AND HIS PEOPLE AS TWO THOUSAND MEN, riding upon horses furnished with all sorts of war instruments, and they appeared in the sight of Esaw and all his men to be divided into four camps, with four chiefs to them. And one camp went on and they found Esaw coming with four hundred men toward his brother Jacob, and this camp ran toward Esaw and his people and terrified them, and Esaw fell off the horse in alarm, and all his men separated from him in that place, for they were greatly afraid. And the whole of the camp shouted after them when they fled from Esaw, and all the warlike men answered, saying, “Surely we are the servants of Jacob, who is the servant of ELOHIM, and who then can stand against us?” And Esaw said to them, “O then, my master and brother Jacob is your master, whom I have not seen for these twenty years, and now that I have today come to see him, do you treat me in this manner?” And the messengers answered him saying, “As YAHWEH lives, if Jacob of whom you speak was not your brother, we would not let one remain from you and your people; but only on account of Jacob we will do nothing to them.” And this camp passed from Esaw and his men and it went away, and Esaw and his men had gone from them about a league when the second camp came toward him with all sorts of weapons, and they also did to Esaw and his men as the first camp had done to them. And when they had left to go on, behold the third camp came toward him and they were all terrified, and Esaw fell off the horse, and the whole camp cried out, and said, “Surely we are the servants of Jacob, who is the servant of ELOHIM, and who can stand against us?” And Esaw again answered them saying, “O then, Jacob my master and your master is my brother, and for twenty years I have not seen his face and hearing today that he was coming, I went today to meet him, and do you treat me in this manner? And they answered him, and said to him, “As YAHWEH lives, if Jacob were not your brother as you said, we would not have left a remnant of you and your men; but on account of Jacob of whom you speak being your brother, we will not meddle with you or your men.” And the third camp also passed from them, and he still continued this road with his men toward Jacob, when the fourth camp came toward him, and they also did to him and his men as the others had done. And when Esaw beheld the evil which the four messengers had done to him and to his men, he became greatly afraid of his brother Jacob, and he went to meet him in peace. And Esaw concealed his hatred against Jacob, because he was afraid of his life on account of his brother Jacob, and because he imagined that the four camps that he had lighted upon were Jacob’s servants.”

What a beautiful example of YAHWEH’s power! All Jacob did was pray to YAHWEH because he was afraid of his brother Esaw; however, he had no idea how YAHWEH was going to take care of the situation, he just trusted that He would. So, He sends three messengers who appeared as 2,000 mighty warriors and terrified Esaw and his 400 men. So, our ELOHIM can do the same thing today, let us pray to Him and trust Him and He will handle the details. Literally, last night there was teenagers who blast music really early in the morning and I prayed saying “Father YAHWEH cause them to hear the sound of police sirens to make them cut the music off” and immediately the music stopped playing. How awesome is our ELOHIM!

2 kings 19:4-35

It may be YAHWEH your ELOHIM will hear the words of the Rab-shakeh, whom his master, the Assyrian king has sent to reproach the living ELOHIM; and will rebuke him for the words which YAHWEH your ELOHIM has heard; therefore beseech and pray for the remnant that is left. So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah the prophet. And Isaiah said to them, Thus shall you shall say to your master: Thus says YAHWEH, do not be afraid of the words that you have heard, which the ambassadors of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Behold, I will send a blast (a spirit, deadly wind in Aramaic) upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.” Verse 21 “This is the word that YAHWEH has spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion despises you and laughs you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head behind you. Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voices and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Yisra’el. By your messengers you have reproached YAHWEH and have said, with the multitude of chariots I will go up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof and the choice fir trees thereof; and I will enter into the extreme limits of the forest of Carmel. I will dig and drink strange waters, and with the hoofs of my horses I will dry up all the great rivers. Have you not heard long ago how I have done it, and of the days of old how I prepared it? And now I have brought it to pass, that you lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps; therefore their inhabitants became weak, they were defeated and confounded, and became like the grass of the field and like the green herb, like the grass on the housetops, and like tender grass blasted before it is grown up. But I know your dwelling place and your coming in and your going out and your rage against Me. Because you have dared and raged against Me, and your blasphemy has come to my ears, therefore I will put a hook in your noise and a bit in your lips, and I will turn you back the way by which you came. And this shall be a sign to you; you shall eat this year that which grow of itself, and in the second year that which springs of the same; and in the third-year sow and reap and plant vineyards and eat the fruit thereof. And the remnant that is left of the house of Judah shall increase, they shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of the mount of Zion; the zeal of YAHWEH of Hosts shall do this. Therefore thus says YAHWEH concerning the king of Assyria: he shall not enter this city nor shoot an arrow there nor come before it with shields nor lay an ambush against it. But by the way that he came by the same shall he return, and shall not enter this city, says YAHWEH. For I will abide in this city and save it for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake. And it came to pass that night, the angel of YAHWEH went out and slew in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when the survivors arose early in the morning, they looked, and behold, their comrades were all dead.”

2 kings 7:3-6

Now there were four leprous men sitting at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, why do we sit here until we die? If we say, will enter into the city, the famine is severe in the city, and we shall die there, and if we still sit here, we die also. Now therefore come and let us go to the camp of Aram; if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they put us to death, we shall die. So they rose up early in the twilight to go the camp of Aram; and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp, behold, there was no man there; for YAHWEH had made the army of Aram HEAR THE NOISE OF HORSES AND THE NOISE OF CHARIOTS AND THE NOISE OF A GREAT ARMY; and they said to one another, Lo, the king of Yisra’el has hired against us the King of the Egyptians and the king of the Hittites to come upon us. Wherefore they fled in the twilight, and left their tents, their horses, and their donkeys, even their camp as it was, and they fled for their lives.”

Again, we see the power of YAHWEH and what He is capable of. He caused the camp of Aram to hear the sound of chariots and horses of a large army that was not even there which made them run. Just like the manifestation of the messengers becoming 2,000 warriors and confronting Esaw, we see that YAHWEH can cause people to hear things that will terrify them. So in modern times He can cause someone to hear the sound of a thousand police sirens, a thousand tanks and helicopters to put fear in someone to make them flee.

2 Maccabees 3:19-30

And the women, girded with sackcloth under their breasts, abounded in the streets and the virgins that were guarded ran, some to the gates and some to the walls and others looked out of the windows. And all, holding their hands toward heaven, made supplication. Then it would have pitied a man to see the falling down of the multitude of all sorts and the fear of the high priest being in such agony. They then called on the Shaddai-Adonai to keep the things committed to trust safe and sure for those who had committed them. Nevertheless, Helidorus executed that which was decreed. Now as he was there present himself with this guard about the treasury. YAHWEH Sabaoth, the Prince of all power, caused a GREAT APPARITION (a manifestation or the appearance of something remarkable or unexpected, typically an image of this type), so that all that presumed to come in with him were astonished at the power of ELOHIM and fainted and were severely afraid. For there APPEARED TO THEM a horse with a terrible rider on him and adorned with a very beautiful covering and he ran fiercely and struck at Helidorus with his forefeet and it seemed that he that sat on the horse had complete harness of gold. Moreover two other young men APPEARED before him, notable in strength, excellent in beauty and comely in apparel, who stood by him on either side; and scourged him continually and gave him many blows. And Helidorus fell suddenly to the ground and was circled with great darkness: but those that were with him picked him up and put him into a litter. Thus he that recently came with a great train and with all his guard into the treasury, they carried out, being unable to help himself with his weapons: and manifestly they acknowledged the power of ELOHIM. For he by the hand of ELOHIM was cast down and lay speechless without all hope of life.”

YAHWEH caused another manifestation of men to appear and defend the temple and even scourged the man Helidorus who attempted to do evil to the high priest and nearly killed him. Again, we see YAHWEH defending His people and the enemy recognized YAHWEH’s great power and Helidorus went on to praise ELOHIM and sacrifice to Him.

Jasher 34:55-48:25 (After Simeon and Levi destroyed Shekhem they all went back to dwell in the land after it had been rebuilt and the Canaanite kings thought they were coming back to destroy it again and arrayed themselves to war against them.)

Surely our ELOHIM who delivered the city of Shekhem and its people into their hand, he will also deliver into our hands all the Canaanite kings who are coming against us, and we will do to them as my brothers did to Shekhem (Judah speaking about Simeon and Levi). Now be at peace about them and cast away your fears, and trust in YAHWEH our ELOHIM, and pray to Him to assist us and deliver us, and deliver our enemies into our hands. And Judah called to one of his dad’s servants and said, “Go now and see where those kings, who are coming against us, are situated with their armies. And the servant went and looked far off, and went up opposite Mount Sion, and saw all the camps of the kings standing in the fields, and he returned to Judah and said, “Behold the kings are situated in the field with all their camps, a people exceedingly numerous, like the sand upon the seashore.” (Then Isaac and Jacob prayed for them, and the result of the prayers happened in Chapter 35.)

Chapter 35:1-19

And all the kings of the Armories came and took their stand in the field to consult with their counselors what was to be done with the sons of Jacob, for they were still afraid of them, saying, “Behold, two of them killed the whole of the city of Shekhem.” And YAHWEH heard the prayers of Isaac and Jacob, and He FILLED THE HEARTS OF ALL THESE KINGS’ ADVSERS WITH GREAT FEAR AND TERROR that they unanimously exclaimed, “Are you so simple today, or is there no understanding in you, that you will fight with the Hebrews? And why will you take a delight in your own destruction today? Behold two of them came to the city of Shekhem without fear or terror, and they killed all the inhabitants of the city, that no man stood up against them, and how will you be able to fight with them all? Surely you know that their ELOHIM is exceedingly fond of them, and has done mighty things for them, such as have not been done from days of old, and among all the Elohim of the nations there is none that can do like His mighty deeds. Surely He delivered their ancestor Abraham, the Hebrew, from the hand of Nimrod, and from the hand of all his people who had many times sought to kill him. He delivered him also from the fire in which king Nimrod had cast him, and his ELOHIM delivered him form it. And who else can do the like? Surely it was Abraham who killed the five kings of Elam, when they had touched his brother’s son who in those days dwelled in Sodom. And took his servant that was faithful in his house and few of his men, and they pursued the kings of Elam in one night and killed them, and restored to his brother’s son all his property which they had taken from him. And surely you know the ELOHIM of these Hebrews is much delighted with them, and they are also delighted with Him, for they know that He delivered them from all their enemies.”

“And behold through his love toward his ELOHIM, Abraham took his only and precious son and intended to bring him up as an ascension offering to his ELOHIM, and had it not been for ELOHIM who prevented him from doing this, he would then have done it for his love to his ELOHIM. And ELOHIM saw all his works, and swore to him, and promised him that He would deliver his sons and all his seed from every trouble that would happen to them, because had done this thing, and through his love to his ELOHIM stifled his compassion for his child. And have you not heard what their ELOHIM did to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to Abimelech king of Gerar, though taking Abraham’s wife, who said of her, “She is my sister,’ lest they might kill him on account of her, and think of taking her for a wife? And ELOHIM did to them and their people all that you heard of. And behold, we ourselves saw with our eyes that Esaw, the brother of Jacob, came to him with four hundred men, with the intention of killing him, for he called to mind that he had taken away from him his dad’s blessing. And he went to meet him when he came from Aram, to kill the mother with the children, and who delivered him from his hands but his ELOHIM in whom he trusted? He delivered him from the hand of his brother and also from the hands of his enemies, and surely He will protect them again. Who does not know that it was their ELOHIM who inspired them with strength to do to the town of Shekhem the evil which you heard of? Could it then be with their own strength that two men could destroy such a large city as Shekhem had it not been for their ELOHIM in whom they trusted? He said and did to them all this to kill the inhabitants of the city in their city. And can you then prevail over them who have come forth together from your city to fight with the whole of them, even if a thousand times as many more should come to your assistance? Surely you know and understand that you do not come to fight with them, but you come to war with their ELOHIM who chose them, and you have therefore all come today to be destroyed.”

YAHWEH put fear into the advisors of the kings of Canaan and they talked about all the mighty works of YAHWEH and that alone made them turn away from fighting against the sons of Jacob. The last part of this scripture about them fighting against ELOHIM and not against man reminds me of:

Acts 5:38-39

And so now I tell you: Stay away from these men, and leave them alone. If their plan comes from human authority, it will fail. But if it is from ELOHIM, you will not be able to stop them. You might even be fighting against ELOHIM Himself!”

The same conversation that the advisors gave to the kings not to fight against YAHWEH in Jasher reminds me of what was said by an Ammonite in Judith who also gave a history of YAHWEH’s power:

Judith 5:1-24

Then was it declared to Holofemes, the chief captain of the army of Ashur, that the children of Yisra’el had prepared for war and had shut up the passages of the hill country and had fortified all the tops of the high hills and had laid impediments in the plain countries, with which he was very angry and called all the princes of Moab and the captains of Ammon and all the governors of the sea coast, and he said to them, tell me now, you sons of Canaan, who is this people that dwells in the hill country and what are the cities that they inhabit and what is the multitude of their army and in what is their power and strength and what king is set over them, or captain of their army. And why have they determined not to come and meet me, more than all the inhabitants of the west. Then Achi’or the captain of all the sons of Ammon said, let my master now hear a word from the mouth of your servant and I will declare to you the truth concerning this people who dwell near you and inhabits the hill countries and no lie shall come out of the mouth of your servant. These people have descended from the Kasdim: and they sojourned formerly in Naharayim, because they would not follow the Elohim of their ancestors, which were in the land of Kasdim. For they left the way of their ancestors and worshipped the ELOHIM of heaven, the ELOHIM whom they knew. So they cast them out from the face of their ELOHIM and they fled into Naharayim and sojourned there many days. Then their ELOHIM commanded them to depart from the place where they sojourned and to go into the land of Canaan, where they dwelt and were increased with gold and silver and with very much livestock. But when a famine covered all the land of Canaan, they went down into Egypt and sojourned there, while they were nourished and became a great multitude, so that one could not number their nation. Therefore the king of Egypt rose up against them and dealt subtly with them and humbled them with labor in brick making and made them slaves. Then they cried to their ELOHIM and He struck all the land of Egypt with incurable plagues, so the Egyptians cast them out of their sight. And ELOHIM dried the Yam-Suf (Dead Sea) before them, and brought them to Mount Sinai and Kadesh-Barne’a and cast out all that dwelt in the wilderness. So they dwelt in the land of the Emori and they destroyed by their strength all those of Chesbon and passing over the Jordan they possessed all the hill country. And they cast out before them the Canaanites, the Perizzite, the Jebusite and the Sheckhemites and all the Girgashites and they dwelt in that country many days. And while they did not sin before their ELOHIM they prospered, because the ELOHIM that hates iniquity was with them. But when they departed from the way which He appointed them, they were destroyed very greatly in many battles and were led captives into a land that was not theirs and the temple of their ELOHIM was cast to the ground and their cities were taken by the enemies. But now have they returned to their ELOHIM and have come up from the places where they were scattered and have possessed Jerusalem, where their sanctuary is and are seated in the hill country; for it was desolate. Now therefore, my master and governor, if there is any error against these people and they have sinned against their ELOHIM, let us consider that this shall be their ruin and let us go up and we shall overcome them. But if there is no iniquity in their nation, let my master now pass by, for fear that their Adonai defends them and their ELOHIM protects them and we shall become a reproach before all the world. And when Achi’or had finished these sayings, all the people standing round about the tent murmured and the chief men of Holofemes and all that dwelt by the sea side and in Moab, spoke that he should kill him. For they said, we will not be afraid of the face of the children of Yisra’el, for look , it is a people that have no strength nor power for a strong battle. Now therefore, master Holofernes, we will go up and they shall be prey to be devoured by all your army.”

Achi’or the Ammonite warned them, but they did not listen and YAHWEH give the Assyria into the hands of Judith, Achi’or the Ammonite would end up joining and becoming a citizen of Yisra’el.

Jasher 40:4-6

And the sons of Jacob were afraid of those men (Bethhoron), as they were not accustomed to fight in the dark, and they were greatly confounded, and the sons of Jacob cried to YAHWEH saying, “Save us O YAHWEH, deliver us that we may not die by the hands of these uncircumcised men.” And YAHWEH listened to the voice of the sons of Jacob, and YAHWEH caused a great terror and confusion to seize the people of Bethhoron, and they fought AMONG THEMSELVES: ONE WITH THE OTHER IN THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT, AND STRUCK EACH OTHER IN GREAT NUMBERS. And the sons of Jacob, knowing that YAHWEH had brought a spirit of perverseness among those men, and that they fought EACH MAN WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, went forth from among the bands of the people of Bethhoron and went as far as the descent of the height of Bethhoron, and farther, and they stayed there securely with their young men on that night.”

This scripture from Jasher is a direct parrel of what happened during the days of Jehoshaphat when YAHWEH caused Moab, Ammon, Seir to fight against themselves.

2 Chronicles 20:15, 21-24

And he said, hearken, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat, thus says YAHWEH your ELOHIM: Be not afraid nor dismayed because of this great army; for the battle is not yours, but ELOHIM’s.” Verse 20 “And they rose early in the morning and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, hear me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: believe in YAHWEH your ELOHIM, so you shall be established; believe in his prophets, and you shall be delivered. Then he stood in the midst of the people and said, come, let us give thanks to YAHWEH, and give praise to the excellency of His holiness, as He is going forth before our enemies to fight for us against our enemies. And they said, give thanks to YAHWEH, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever. Then the hills began to give praise and the mountains began to rejoice. And when they began to sing and to praise, YAHWEH set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to DESTROY ANOTHER. And when Judah came toward the watchtower in the wilderness, they looked to the multitude, and, behold, there were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and NONE HAD ESCAPED.”

Take a look at what happens when you praise YAHWEH, thank Him, and sing to Him even in the midst of a battle and He will move for you. So remember to praise YAHWEH at all times and trust in Him and watch Him move in your life. As we see from the many scriptures above, YAHWEH can make miraculous things happen if we love Him and walk in His ways.

As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

A call for unity and stop shaming others!

John 13:35

By this all men will know that you are my disciples if there will be LOVE among you one to another.”

YESHUA says that the world would know that we are His disciples if we have loved one another. So, ask yourself, are you loving your brothers and sisters? If not, how can you be His disciple when YESHUA says this is the qualifier for it? We know this scripture shuts down most of the Hebrew Israelites who hate the so-called white man as Esaw because they aren’t loving a brother who is walking with YESHUA simply because he or she is European. Even outside of the aspect of race, love has been missing amongst the Torah observant community for a while now. There is no love in how they present themselves as they run around pointing the finger about the Name, calendar, and interpretations of the Torah. People should be seeing YESHUA and not you! I have fellow brothers and sisters who do not use the same calendar or Name but that doesn’t stop me from fellowshipping with them. There is a lot of name-calling, false accusations and a lot of belittling brothers and sisters to make them feel stupid all while puffing themselves up to be the most knowledgeable. None of us has all the answers which is why we humble ourselves and go the our Father YAHWEH through YESHUA for revelation and They will give THE RUACH HA’KODESH the words to speak to us as He leads us into all truth. Humble yourselves because at one time you were lost and be patient with others as someone else was with you in the beginning of your walk. If you treat your own brothers and sisters this way, how can you be a light to a gentile who is lost and seeking the truth?

1 John 4:20

And if anyone will say, I love ELOHIM, and yet hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother who is visible, how can he love ELOHIM who is invisible? And this command we have received from him, that whoever loves ELOHIM, must love also his brother.”

If you can’t love your brother, you cannot love YAHWEH!  Remember that! Put your differences aside and love your brethren and unite. You can have all the Torah knowledge in the world but if you don’t have love, it does not mean anything as we know the whole Torah is summed up in love.

Mathew 22:36-40

Teacher, which Commandment in Torah is the greatest? And YESHUA said to him, that “You should love Master YAHWEH your ELOHIM with all your heart and with all your soul and with all you might and with all your mind. This is the first and the greatest commandment. And the second is like it. That “You should love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang Torah and the prophets.”

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

If I could speak in every tongue of men, and in that of Messengers, and there be no love in me, I should be like brass that resounds, or the cymbal that makes a noise. And if there should be in me the gift of prophecy, and I should understand all the mysteries, and every science; and if there should be in me all faith, so that I could move mountains, and love should not be in me, I should be nothing. And if I should feed out to the poverty stricken all I possess; and if I should give my body so that I may boast; and there should be no love in me, I gain nothing. Love is patient, and is kind; love is not envious; love does not shout loudly; and is not boastful; and does nothing that causes SHAME; and seeks not her own; is not passionate; and thinks no evil; it does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; it bears all things, believes all things, hopes for all, and endures all. Love will never cease. But prophesying will end; and tongues will be stopped; and knowledge will disappear. For we know but partially; and we prophesy but partially. But when completeness will come, then that which is partial will disappear. When I was a child, I talked as a child, and I reasoned as a child, and I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I laid aside the things of childhood. And now we see, as by a mirror, in dark reflection; but then face to face: now I know partially; but then will I know, just as I am known. For these three things are abiding: faith, and hope, and LOVE; but the greatest of these is LOVE.”

Unity

The scriptures make it clear that unity is important, because if the believers are always divided and fighting, then how do you except unbelievers to follow YESHUA based off your behavior? We are called to be the light of the world.

Unity is defined as the state of being united or joined as a whole.

Psalms 133:1

See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in UNITY.”

Testament of Joseph (12 Patriarchs) 17:3

For ELOHIM delights in the UNITY of brothers, and in the purpose of a heart that takes pleasure in LOVE.”

Acts 1:14 (Aramaic English New Testament)

These, all of them, were steadfast in prayer with ONE SOUL (Unity), and with the women with Maryam, (his) mother of YESHUA, and with his brothers.”

Acts 2:1

And after the fifty days of Shavuot were fulfilled, all were assembled as ONE.”

Acts 2:46-47

And everyday they were steadfast in the temple with ONE SOUL. And at home they were breaking loaves of bread. And while they were receiving food, and rejoicing in the simplicity of their hearts, they were praising ELOHIM while finding favor before all the people. And everyday our Master YESHUA would add to those who lived among the congregation (Unity).

Acts 4:32

The assembly of those men who were believing had but ONE SOUL AND ONE MIND, and no man among them concerning the possessions that he possessed would say that they were his. Rather, everything they had was in common.”

They were all united and did not consider their possessions to be their own but gave to those who had need.

Romans 12:16-17

What estimation you make of yourselves do likewise to your brothers. And do not indulge in arrogant thoughts but UNITE yourselves with the humble minded. And be not wise in your own estimation. And repay to no man evil for evil; but let it be your study to do good before all men.”

Romans 14:19

Let us strive after peace and after the edification of one another.”

Romans 15:5-7

And may the ELOHIM of patience and of consolation grant to you to think in HARMONY ONE WITH ANOTHER, in YESHUA the Messiah; So that, with ONE MIND AND ONE MOUTH you may glorify ELOHIM, the Father of our Master YESHUA the Messiah.”

1 Peter 3:8

To summing up is that you all be in HARMONY, that you be sympathetic with them who suffer and affectionate to one another, and be merciful and kind.”

2 Corinthians 13:11

Finally, my brothers, rejoice and be perfected and be comforted; and may HARMONY and quietness be among you; and the ELOHIM of love and of peace will be with you. Ask for the peace of one another with a holy kiss. All the holy believers ask for your peace. The peace of our Master YESHUA the Messiah, and the love of ELOHIM, and the fellowship of the RUACH HA’KODESH be with you all. Ahmein.”

As we see from all the scriptures presented, they all dwelled together in unity, harmony, and love, there wasn’t constant fighting over every matter contained within the Torah.

Don’t put anyone to shame

We have to stop talking about people and their actions by voicing it to others. We should not get a preconceived idea of what the person is like before we ever meet them. When you do this you are planting a seed in someone’s head that they are awful person. We know how the brothers of Joseph treated him and he did not shame them which we will see in the scriptures below. We always feel the need to defend ourselves because of what others have done to us, just pray for them and do not put them to shame.

1 Corinthians 13:5-6

Love is patient, and is kind; love is not envious; love does not shout loudly; and is not boastful; and does nothing that causes SHAME; and seeks not her own; is not passionate; and thinks no evil…”

Testament of Joseph 10:5-6

My brothers knew how my dad loved me, and yet I did not exalt myself in my mind; although I was a child, I had the fear of ELOHIM in my heart. For I knew that all things would pass away, and I did not raise myself against them with evil intent, but I honored my brothers; and out of respect for them even when I was being sold, I refrained from telling the Ishmaelites that I was a son of Jacob, a great man and a mighty.”

Testament of Joseph 11:1-5

Therefore my children, you also have the fear of ELOHIM in all your works before your eyes, and honor your brothers. For everyone who does the Torah of YAHWEH will be loved by Him. And when I came to the slave-market with the Ishmaelites, they asked me, saying, ‘Are you a slave?” and I said that I was a home-born slave, so that I would not put my brothers to shame.”

Testament of Joseph 15:1-4

Now after twenty-four days the Ishmaelites returned; for they had heard that Jacob my dad was mourning much concerning me. And they came and said to me, ‘Why did you tell us that you were a slave? Behold, we have learned that you are the son of a mighty man in the land of Canaan, and your dad still mourns for you in sackcloth and ashes.’ When I heard this my bowels were dissolved and my heart melted, and I desired greatly to weep, but I restrained myself, that I would not put my brothers to shame. And I said to them, ‘I do not know, I am a slave.”

Testament of Joseph 16:1-6

Now the Nophite woman said to her husband, ‘Buy the youth, for I hear,’ she said, ‘that they are selling him.’ And immediately she sent a eunuch to the Ishmaelites and asked them to sell me. But since the eunuch would not agree to buy me at their price he returned, having tried them; and he told his mistress that they asked a large price for their slave. And she sent another eunuch, saying, ‘Even if they demand two minas, give it to them. Do not spare the gold, only but the boy, and bring him to me.’ The eunuch therefore went and gave them eighty pieces of gold, and he received me. But he told the Egyptian woman, ‘I paid a hundred pieces of gold. And though I knew this I held my peace, lest the eunuch should be put to shame.”

Testament of Joseph 17:1-2

Therefore my children, you see what great things I endured that I would not put my brothers to shame. Therefore you also should love one another, and HIDE ONE ANOTHER’S FAULTS with patience.”

Let us be patient with our brothers and sisters and not air out their faults/flaws to others which puts them to shame. We would not like it if the shoe was on the other foot and they were putting all your flaws out for the world to hear. Let us pray for them and walk in love, let us walk in unity and stop with the fighting and the division so that YAHWEH’s Name will be praised. There is no way that we can make His Name a praise when we are not loving each other and walking in unity and we know that YAHWEH is love!

As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Christianity and HELL’s FIRE WARNING!

This is a follow up to the last message titled “A message to all Christians”. This is a warning to all Christianity and the false doctrines they are believing in, please take the time to read this entire message to discover the truth. Get things in order now because Judgement Day is going to bring torments to many.

1 John 3:4

Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness (transgression of Torah), and sin is lawlessness.”

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is DEATH (Eternal torment), but the favorable gift of ELOHIM is everlasting life in Messiah YESHUA our Master.”

Enoch 100:7-9

Woe to you, Sinners (Transgression of Torah), on the day of strong anguish; you who afflict the righteous and burn them with fire. You shall be repaid according to your works. Woe to you, you obstinate of heart, who watch in order to devise wickedness. Therefore fear shall come upon you, and there shall be none to help you. Woe to you, you sinners, on account of the words of your mouth, and account of the deeds of your hands which your wickedness has worked. You shall BURN IN BLAZING FLAMES BURNING WORSE THAN FIRE.”

I just want everyone to visualize what Enoch just said. None of us an deal with any type of fire on this earth, we quickly turn away from the heat of the flames because none of us can endure it, so how much more is flames burning worse than fire at the judgment? Shouldn’t you be doing everything to avoid this?

Mathew 7:23

And then I shall declare to them, I never KNEW you, depart from me, you WORK LAWLESSNESS.”

How do we KNOW HIM?

1 John 2:3-4

And by this we will be sensible that we KNOW HIM, if we keep His commandments. For he that says I KNOW HIM, and does not keep His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.”

Mathew 13:41-42

The Son of Man will send His Messengers out, and they will pluck from His Kingdom ALL STUMBLING BLOCKS and all workers of LAWLESSNESS. And they will cast them into the FURNANCE OF FIRE (Eternal torment), and there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

It is time for Christianity to worship our Father YAHWEH in Spirit and truth; and to turn from the satanic lawless doctrines.

John 4:23

But the hour is coming, and now is when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, indeed for the Father, He seeks worshippers as these. For ELOHIM is Spirit, and those who worship, they must worship Him in SPIRIT and TRUTH.”

What is the Spirit?

John 16:13

But when the Spirit of TRUTH comes, He will guide you into truth. For He will not speak from Himself but He will speak everything that He hears. And future things He will make known to you.”

The RUACH HA’KODESH The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth and what is truth?

Psalm 119:142

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and your TORAH IS THE TRUTH.”

YESHUA is saying that the RUACH HA’KODESH will lead you into the truth of the Torah and away the false traditions of men, many people quote this verse without understanding the context of YESHUA’s words.

In the last message titled “Message to ALL Christians” I explained how the Torah is not done away with, it has not been nailed to the cross, and that most believers today are walking in a false religion and speaking evil against the commands of our Father YAHWEH! It grieves me because I know that all people including Christians and Muslims are all supposed to be grafted as citizens of Yisra’el along with the native-born Israelites, but they just do not know their identity and most refuse to know the truth. So, I pray for them all daily and I encourage everyone to pray that the spiritual blindness will be taken off of their eyes before it is too late. It is an identity crisis and they all have been taught lies to keep them from the truth. It is my job to warn everyone before it is too late because hell’s fire is no place that anyone will want to end up. Today is your chance to REPENT and get right with our Father YAHWEH

I’ll be going over YESHUA being the Torah/Light/Lamp and what it really means when He said He is The Way, The Truth and The Life, the Scriptural definition of Light, and quoting plenty of scriptures that shows what happens to all those who REJECT the Torah, The Shabbat and Laws of YAHWEH! Why am I focusing on the commandments? Because most people already believe in YESHUA and His atonement for sin on the execution, but most refuse to pick up their execution stakes and die to self and die to sin and walk in obedience to the commandments that are eternal. The place they will end up is eternal torment forever, so this is a warning to all those who say, “the law is done away with!” Please, listen to this entire message because this is a serious warning with GREAT DETAILS!

Before I get into the message, I have to explain some background information as why I quote from books that a lot of Christians are not familiar with. As many who are familiar with this channel know that I use the 66 Books canon and also the Apocrypha and Dead Sea Scrolls (Enoch, Jubilees, etc.). So that you aren’t confused with why I’m using these Books we have to look at history. The Apocrypha (14 Books removed) was included in the original 1611 King James Bible, so if you are reading the King James Bible today you have to ask yourself why you aren’t reading these books today? This included 2 Esdras and Baruch that I will be quoting from in this message. These books that were included in the 1611 King James Bible were removed in the 1800’s by a man named Martin Luther because he believed that these books were too Jewish, and that believers are saved by grace alone which is another lie within itself. How can these books be too Jewish? When YESHUA was a Jew? And the whole Bible has Hebrew roots! Do you see the deception? The very words HalleuYAH and Ahmein are Hebrew words yet these words were not removed or hidden. Secondly, the Book of Enoch and Jubilees were discovered in Cave #2 during the Qumran discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls right along with the Old Testament, which shows that all of these books are inspired and written over 2,000 years ago. Do not let anyone deceive you by telling you not to read these books, because they know if you do that you will see further evidence against false doctrine of Christianity and will see what the early church really looked like. Christianity would not even be recognized by our ancestors, to them Christianity would be pagan worship which is true.

Also, Baruch was a scribe to Jeremiah and not a fictitious character which we read in the book of Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 36:4

So Jeremiah called Baruch son of Neriah, and while Jeremiah dictated all the words YAHWEH had spoken to him, Baruch wrote them on the scroll.”

2 Baruch 9:1

And I, Baruch, came, and Jeremiah, whose heart was found pure of sins, who had not been captured during the seizing of the city. We tore our garments, and wept, and mourned, and fasted seven days.”

And both Ezra and Baruch were taken just like Enoch and Elijah, which should give us enough reason to hear what these righteous men had to say.

Genesis 5:24

And Enoch was well-pleasing to ELOHIM and was not found because ELOHIM took him.”

2 Esdras 14:49-50

In the seventh year of the sixth week, five thousand years and three months and twenty-two days after creation. At that time, Ezra was caught up, and taken to the place of those who are like him, after he had written all these things. And he was called the scribe of the knowledge of the Most High forever.”

2 Baruch 76:2

Because you (Baruch) will surely leave this world, nevertheless NOT UNTO DEATH but unto the preservation of the times…” Baruch 77:12 “Nevertheless, do this for us, your people: write also to our brothers in Babylon a letter of instruction and a book of hope, so that you strengthen them, too, before you no longer walk among us.”

THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE

John 5:47

And, if you don’t believe the writings of Moses, how will you believe My words?”

YESHUA is saying that if you don’t believe in the written Torah, then how will you ever believe His words the LIVING TORAH? The truth is that you cannot believe His words because YESHUA always referred back to the Torah and the prophets in the old Testament and at no time did He even say anything remotely close to saying the Torah was nailed to the cross. YESHUA simply rebuked the religious leaders of His day the Pharisees for their Oral Torah which contained the tradition of the elders that they placed above the written Torah of YAHWEH!

Mathew 15:8-9

This people honor me with their lips (Just as Christians do), but their heart is VERY FAR FROM ME. And they revere me in vain, while they TEACH THE DOCTRINES OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE SONS OF MEN (Just as Christianity does).”

That is the entire context of what YESHUA did to uphold the truth of the Torah and not the man-made lies that added burdens upon men and how they held it above YAHWEH’s written word. So, when YESHUA said He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, He wasn’t just saying random idle words, but rather saying He is the Torah and came to bring the true essence of the Torah the way YAHWEH intended for it to be kept. The scriptures below prove this:

THE WAY

Psalm 119:1

Blessed are the blameless IN THE WAY who walk in the TORAH of YAHWEH.”

Jasher 26:36

And he (Abraham) brought all the children of the earth to the service of ELOHIM, and he taught them THE WAYS OF YAHWEH (Psalms 119:1) and caused them to KNOW HIM.”

Psalms 103:6-7

YAHWEH is doing righteousness and right-ruling for all the oppressed. He made known His WAYS to Moses.”

What was given on Mount Sinai to Moses? The commandments written in stone which are the WAYS of YAHWEH and how He expects the citizens of His Kingdom to behave.

2 Esdras 7:22-24

Nevertheless, they were NOT OBEDIENT, and spoke against Him; they devised for themselves vain thoughts, and proposed to themselves wicked frauds; they even declared that the Most High does not exist (atheists), and they IGNORED His WAYS (The commandments which we just defined above As Christianity does today!) They scorned His Law, and denied His covenants; they have been unfaithful to His statues, and have not performed His works.”

THE TRUTH

Psalm 119:142

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and your TORAH IS THE TRUTH.”

2 Baruch 44:14

“They (the righteous) are the ones who have acquired for themselves reservoirs of wisdom and with whom measures of understanding are found. From mercy they have not withdrawn, and they have KEPT the  TRUTH OF THE TORAH.”

THE LIFE

2 Baruch 38:2

Your TORAH IS LIFE, and your wisdom is uprightness.”

Proverbs 13:14

The TORAH of the wise is a fountain of LIFE.”

Sadly, Christians are doing the opposite that Enoch writes concerning the fountain of life:

Enoch 96:6

Woe to you who drink water from every fountain, for suddenly you shall be consumed and wither away, because you have FORSAKEN THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE.”

Christians and most religions of the world today are drinking from every fountain of false doctrine, traditions of men, and paganism and have rejected the fountain of life which Proverbs 13:14 defines as the Torah. As we see those who forsake the Torah will be consumed and wither away.

Deuteronomy 32:46-47

And he said to them, take heed with your heart to all these words which I testify to you this day, which you shall command your sons to observe and DO ALL THE WORDS OF THIS TORAH. For this no vain word to you; for it is your LIFE and because of this word you shall live long on the land into which you go over the Jordan to inherit it.”

Baruch 4:1-2

This is the book of the commandments of ELOHIM and the Torah that endures FOREVER: all those that KEEP IT SHALL COME TO LIFE; but those who leave it (saying the law is done away with) shall DIE. Turn of Jacob and take hold of it: walk in the presence of its light, you may be illuminated.”

Proverbs 6:23

For the commandment of the TORAH is a lamp and a light; a WAY OF LIFE…”

As we can see, when YESHUA said that He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, He was saying that He is the Written Word that became Living Flesh, He is the Living Torah and since He is the Living Torah, then how is the Torah done away with? Those who follow YESHUA in faith and keep the commandments shall live and those who do not will be thrown into the fire.

.YESHUA is Torah-A LAMP AND A LIGHT

Proverbs 6:23

For the commandment of the Torah is a LAMP AND A LIGHT; a Way of Life…”

2 Baruch 59:2

For at that time, the LAMP OF THE ETERNAL TORAH, enlightened all those who sat in the darkness. It will make the promise of their reward known to those who believe, and the torment of fire to those who deny that is preserved for them.”

Psalms 119:105

Your TORAH IS A LAMP to my feet and LIGHT to my paths.”

John 3:19

Now this is the judgement: Because the LIGHT (TORAH) has come into the world, and men loved the darkness (NO TORAH) more than the LIGHT (TORAH), for their works are evil.”

Baruch 4:1-2

This is the book of the commandments of ELOHIM and the Torah that endures FOREVER: all those that keep it shall come to life; but those who leave it shall DIE. Turn of Jacob and take hold of it: walk in the presence of its LIGHT, you may be illuminated.”

Now you can get a better understanding of what YESHUA was saying in John 8 with all the scriptural references to light being the Torah mentioned above, you won’t stumble because the Torah is a light that lights the path and a lamp unto your feet as we just read. YESHUA is The Way!

John 8:1

Now YESHUA spoke with them again and said, “I am the LIGHT of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness (lawlessness) but he will find the LIGHT OF LIFE for himself.”

The Light is the Torah which is YESHUA and the darkness is the lawless deeds of those who do not want to keep the commandments and their wicked deeds are exposed. And they refuse to come to the Light which is the Torah because they bask in the sinful nature of the flesh to do whatever feels good to them by justifying in their hearts that “the law is done away with.”

One of the biggest commandments that Christians are scared to do is to keep the 7th Day Shabbat which is on Saturday in favor of the 1st day of the week Sunday! You can ask them if they believe in the 10 commandments and they will say “YES! Those are the moral laws” Then when you immediately ask them, well what about the fourth commandment? which says “Remember the Shabbat Day to keep it holy” then that is when all the false justifications are poured out in abundance, so suddenly the 10 Commandments they just agreed exist today have suddenly become the 9 commandments.

What happens to those who break the Shabbat?

Jubilees 2:26-27

Why do you command the children of Yisra’el to guard this day (Shabbat), that they may keep it holy and not do any work on it, and not defile it? IT IS MORE HOLY THAN ALL THE OTHER DAYS. And whoever profanes it shall surely die, and whoever does any work on it shall SURELY DIE ETERNALLY…”

2 Maccabees 15:1-2

But Nicanor, hearing that Judah and his company were in the fortresses near Samaria, resolved without any danger to attack on them on the Shabbat. Nevertheless the Jews that were compelled to with him said, Do not destroy so cruelly and barbarously, but give honor to THAT DAY (THE SHABBAT) which He that sees all things (YAHWEH), HAS HONORED WITH SANCTITY ABOVE ALL OTHER DAYS.”

Firstly, we have two witnesses outside of YAHWEH Himself telling us in the 10 commandments that the Shabbat is more holy than all of the other 6 days of the week, so that destroys the Christian theology that all the days are the same, and secondly, anyone who profanes the Shabbat will die eternally which means hell’s fire!

Mathew 7:23

And then I shall declare to them, I never KNEW you, depart from me, you WORK LAWLESSNESS.”

Luke 11:28

He (YESHUA) said to her, “Blessed are they who hear the Word of ELOHIM and KEEP IT.”

2 Esdras 7:45

I (Ezra) answered and said, “O YAHWEH, I said then and I say now: Blessed are those who are alive and keep Your commandments!”

Romans 2:12

For those without Torah, who sin, will also perish without Torah…”

Those who keep the commandments and sin will at least be judged, but those who outright reject the Torah do not even have a chance, they will perish without the Torah they rejected.

HELL’ FIRE FOR THE TORAHLESS/LAWLESS AND ATHEIST!

2 Peter 2:7-9 (Aramaic English New Testament)

And also delivered righteous Lot who was tormented with the filthy conduct of the TORAHLESS; for that upright man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing from day to day, was distressed in his righteous soul by their TORAHLESS deeds; Master YAHWEH knows how to rescue from afflictions those who fear him, and He will reserve the wicked (TORAHLESS) for the day of judgment to be TORMENTED.”

2 Esdras 9:11

And as many as SCORNED (to reject something in a contemptuous way or refused to do something because one is too proud) MY LAW while they still had freedom, and did not understand but DESPISED IT while an opportunity of repentance was still open to them, these must in TORMENT ACKNOWLEDGE ME AFTER DEATH.”

Christianity has rejected the Torah as they scorned and despised it, even though YAHWEH gave them more days of life on the earth to repent while they had freedom in this life to do so, yet they refused to repent and obey His commands, and YAHWEH says they will acknowledge Him and His Torah in eternal flames whether they want to or not after death, so you might as well follow Him now.

2 Esdras 8:56-59

For they also received freedom, but they despised the Most High, and were contemptuous of HIS LAW, AND FORSOOK HIS WAYS (Psalm 119:1).” Moreover, they have trampled upon His righteous ones (persecuting those who follow Torah), and said in their hearts there is no ELOHIM- though knowing full well that they MUST DIE.” For just as the things which have been predicted await you (eternal life for Ezra), so the THIRST AND TORMENT which are prepared away them (The lawless Christians and atheist). For the Most High did not intend that men should be destroyed.”

Wisdom 1:23-24

“For ELOHIM created man to be immortal and made him to be an image of His own eternity. Nevertheless, through the envy of Satan, death came into the world: and those that TAKE HIS SIDE FIND IT.” (It’s obvious that Lawless Christianity has taken the side of Satan).

. YAHWEH did not create life for man to be destroyed, but rather man makes his own decisions whether to choose life or choose death, to choose a blessing or a curse, sadly many choose to live the life of lies and deceit that Satan has gotten them to believe.

2 Baruch 15:5-6

It is right that man would not understand my judgement, had he not received the TORAH and I had not instructed him in understanding. Now, however, since he TRANSGRESSED KNOWINGLY, therefore he will also be TORMENTED KNOWINGLY.”

2 Baruch 48:46

For formerly you commanded the dust that it should give forth Adam, and you know the number of those who were born of him and how they have sinned (transgression of Torah 1 John 3:4) before You, those who existed, and they have not confessed You as their Creator (atheists).

2 Esdras 7:21-24 (Parenthesis mine)

For ELOHIM strictly commanded those who came into the world (All People), when they came, what they should do to live and what they should observe to avoid punishment (Belief in YESHUA and keeping commandments of Torah). Nevertheless they were NOT OBEDIENT, and spoke against Him; they devised for themselves vain thoughts, and proposed to themselves wicked frauds; they even declared that the Most High does not exist (atheists), and they ignored His ways! They scorned His Law, and denied His covenants; they have been unfaithful to His statues, and have not performed His works”.

Enoch 99:1-3

Woe to you who work wickedness, and glory in lying and extol them; you shall perish, and shall not have a happy life. Woe to them who pervert the words of uprightness, and transgress the ETERNAL LAW, and transform themselves into what they were not; into sinners. They shall be trodden under foot upon the earth.”

2 Baruch 51:4-6

For those who will then come will groan even more over this, over the fact that they REJECTED MY TORAH and have stopped their ears so that they would not hear wisdom or receive understanding.” Therefore, when they will see that those, over whom they are now exalted, will then be exalted and esteemed more than they, and that they have all been transformed, these into the splendor of the angels and those into startling apparitions, then at the sight of these shapes they will waste away even more. For first they will see (the esteem of the righteous) and afterward they will go to be TORMENTED.”

2 Baruch 54:14

Justly do they perish, those who have not LOVED YOUR TORAH, and the TORMENT of judgement receives those who have not subjected themselves to Your power.”

2 Baruch 59:2

For at that time, the lamp of the eternal Torah enlightened all those who sat in darkness. It will make the promise of their reward known to those who believe, and the TORMENT OF FIRE to those who deny that is preserved for them.”

2 Baruch 52:1-3

And I (Baruch) answered and said: “How can they forget? Those for whom the woe is preserved for then? And why, then, do we mourn further over those who die, or why do weep over those who go to Sheol? Let the lamentations be preserved for the beginning of that future TORMENT, and let the tears be laid in place for the coming of that destruction that will then be.”.

2 Baruch 30:4-5

But the souls of the wicked, while seeing all of these, will then waste away all the more, for they know that their TORMENT has arrived and their ruin has come.”

2 Esdras 7:78-87

“And concerning death, the teaching is: when the decisive decree goes forth from the Most High, that one shall die, as the soul leaves the body to return to Him again who gave it, first of all it adorns the esteem of the Most High. If it is one of those who has shown scorn and NOT GUARDED THE WAY OF THE MOST HIGH, WHO HAS DESPISED HIS LAW and hated those who fear ELOHIM; such souls do not enter into dwellings (the hollow places or holding tanks spoken of in Enoch) but shall wander in torments, forever in grief and sorrow in seven ways.

1.      The first way, because they have scorned the Law of the Most High.

2.      The second way, because they CANNOT now repent and do good that they now may live.

3.      The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the Covenants of the Most High.

4.      The fourth way, they shall consider THE TORTURE LAID UP FOR THEMSELVES IN THE LAST DAYS.

5.      The fifth way, they shall see how the dwellings of the other souls guarded by messengers (angels) in profound quiet.

6.      The sixth way, that they shall SEE THE TORMENTS COMING UPON THEM FROM NOW ON.”

7.      The seventh way, which is greater than all the ways that have been spoken, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the esteem of the Most High in whose presence they sinned while they were alive, AND IN WHOSE PRESENCE THEY ARE TO BE JUDGED IN THE LAST DAYS.”

I pray that this is an eye opener to understand what is coming during judgement day. You will either be with our ELOHIM for eternity or in darkness burning in flames for eternity. It’s time to repent world! Come out of religion, come out of false teachings and traditions and stop playing church as if it is a hobby.

Please share this with all who need to hear this, and as always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

8th Day Closing Assembly Instructions 2021!

Up to this point we have covered the days and instructions for Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot the Feast of Tabernacles. Immediately following Sukkot on October 13th is the 8th Day Closing Assembly a High-Shabbat, and we are commanded to do no work on that day as well.

Jubilees 32:27-28

And he (Jacob) celebrated there yet another day, and he slaughtered on that day according to all that he slaughtered on the former days, and called its name ‘Addition,’ (8th Day) for this day was added and the previous days he called ‘The Feast’ (Feast of Tabernacles). And thus it was manifested that it should be, and it is written on the heavenly tablets: why it was revealed to him that he should celebrate it, and add it to seven days of the Feast. And its name was called ‘Addition,’ because it was recorded among the days of the Feast Days, according to the number of the days of the year. And in the night, on the twenty-third of this month, Deborah, Rebecca’s nurse died…”

Feast of Tabernacles starts on the 15th Day of the seventh month and runs until the 21st of the 7th month (October 6th-12th) and the 8th Day Closing Assembly is on the 22nd day of the 7th month (October 13th), We know it’s the seventh month because going back to Jubilees 31:3 it says “And he went up on the 1st of the seventh month to Beth-El) and then Jubilees 32:16 says “And on the second night, on the 22nd day of this month…” which would have been the 8th Day.

YAHWEH commands us in Leviticus 23:34-39 saying:

'Speak to the children of Yisra’el, saying, 'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month YAHWEH'S Festival of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) begins, and it lasts for seven days. The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. For seven days present offerings made to YAHWEH by fire, and on the EIGHTH DAY hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made to YAHWEH by fire. It is the closing assembly; do no regular work.”

YAHWEH continues in verse 39 by saying: 'So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival to YAHWEH for seven days; the first day is a day of rest, and the EIGTH DAY (13TH) also is a day of rest.

Numbers 29:35-38

On the EIGHTH DAY you have an assembly, you DO NO SERVILE WORK, and you shall bring near a burnt offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to YAHWEH: one bull, one ram, seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the Right-Ruling…”

How are we to celebrate this last Holy Day? Scripture doesn't go into great detail about the day, but we are commanded not to work and have a holy gathering. We can again look to how the Israelites celebrated the 8th Day Closing Assembly in the days of Nehemiah when they came back from Babylonian exile.

Nehemiah 8:18:

And there was very great rejoicing. And day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read from the Book of the Torah of ELOHIM. And they performed the Festival seven days (Sukkot). And on the EIGTH day there was an assembly, according to the Right-Ruling.”

So, during the days of Ezra and Nehemiah they celebrated Sukkot and then on the 8th Day they held an assembly as YAHWEH commanded in Leviticus 23 and Numbers 29. We can also look to 2nd Chronicles 7:8-10 during the time of King Solomon which says:

"So Solomon observed the Festival (Sukkot) at that time for seven days, and all Yisra’el with him-a very great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the wadi of Mitsrayim (Egypt). On the EIGTH day they held an assembly, for they had celebrated the dedication of the altar for seven days and the festival for seven days more. On the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people to their homes, joyful and glad in heart for the good things YAHWEH had done for David and Solomon and for his people Israel."

1 Kings 8:66

On the EIGHTH DAY he sent the people away. And they blessed the king, and went to their tents rejoicing and glad of heart for all the goodness that YAHWEH had done for His servant David, and for Yisra’el His people.”

As we can see Solomon and the people were finishing up their rejoicing and celebration of The Festival of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) and then he held an assembly on the eight day in accordance with YAHWEH's command. So, it appears that the 8th Day Closing Assembly is a day to assemble with brothers and sisters and then to unwind after the 7-day celebration of Sukkot and be joyful in heart for all that YAHWEH has done for us.

What is the 8th Day Closing Assembly?

As stated, before there is not a lot of detail about the 8th Closing Assembly outside of a day of rest and a holy gathering. But it could represent the preparation for the marriage Supper of the Lamb and it’s parallel to creation week; of how YAHWEH created all things in 6 days and rested on the 7th, I do not state this as a fact.

 2 Peter 3:8

But, beloved ones, let not this one be hidden from you: that with YAHWEH one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

Psalms 90:4

For a thousand years in your sight are as yesterday which is past and as a watch in the night.”

Jubilees 4:29-30

And at the end of the of the nineteenth jubilee, in the seventh week in the sixth year, Adam died. And all his sons buried him in the land of his creation (Elda), and he was the first to be buried in the earth. And he lacked seventy years of one thousand years (Adam died at 930 years old); for one thousand years are as one day in the witness of the heavens and therefore was it written concerning the tree of knowledge, “On the day that you eat of it you will die.” For this reason he did not complete the YEARS OF THIS DAY; for he died during it.”

So, could it be that after the 6,000 years of mankind there will be the Shabbat rest in the 7,000th year when YESHUA returns to reign in Jerusalem for 1,000 years? And then in year 8,000th (The 8th Day Closing Assembly) year is eternity? The number 8 represents “New Beginnings” like the 8th Day circumcision of the male and only 8 people surviving after YAHWEH flooded the earth, which would make perfect sense being that eternity is a new beginning of no more pain and no more death and things being restored back to their perfected state.

Also, the number 8 in the Otiot which is the ancient form of Hebrew is “Het” which is a picture of a tent wall or a fence to protect or surround and also represent life, which could symbolize YAHWEH protecting His people from death giving them eternal life and surrounding them with His presence, love, and goodness that we cannot even fathom. However, Scripture does not give us all the details, but it is interesting to ponder on what YAHWEH’s plan is.

John 7:1-2

And after this YESHUA was walking in Galilee, for He did not want to walk in Judah, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him. And the Festival of the Jews was near, the Festival of Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles).” Then verse 37 reads:

And on the last Great Day of The Festival (8th Day), YESHUA stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink.”

Let us come to YESHUA and drink for we believe in Him and let the living waters which is the RUACH HA’KODESH (The Holy Spirit) live within us and guide us into all truth as we wait for His return.

As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Sukkot Instructions 2021: The Feast of Tabernacles!

After Yom Kippur is Sukkot the Feast of Tabernacles which occurs on October 6th which is the 15th Day of the 7th Month on YAHWEH’s calendar and is a High Shabbat a (no work day). Sukkot is celebrated for 7 days ending on the October 12th. Then immediately afterwards on October 13th is the 8th Day Closing Assembly a NO WORK DAY, which we will be covering next week ELOHIM willing! So in summary we are to do no work on the 1st Day and the 8th Day because they are Shabbat’s (October 6th and October 13th.)

Most of the world has been deceived into rejecting YAHWEH’s Holy Days for the pagan holidays of this world. It’s no secret that Halloween, Xmas, and Easter are not found in scripture yet the world celebrates them and claim to follow YESHUA! And Sukkot aka The Feast of Tabernacles is no different. The world follows a “Thanksgiving” that takes place in November; they gather together to eat turkey and watch football all day while paying homage to the harvest deities and not YAHWEH!

The true thanksgiving is Sukkot/The Feast of Tabernacles/The Feast of In-gathering which is on the 15th Day of the 7th month; however, Satan has mocked YAHWEH as usual and has the world rejecting YAHWEH’S days with a pagan substitute. There is nothing new under the sun and we can see that Jeroboam mocked YAHWEH’s Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles by making his own day EXACTLY ONE MONTH after YAHWEH’s, so technically most of the world is walking in the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat in which he caused Yisra’el to commit great sins. Get away from the false thanksgiving and follow YAHWEH’s true Thanksgiving, which is Sukkot the Feast of Tabernacles, followers of YESHUA don’t need TWO THANKSGIVINGS, the only one that needs to be celebrated is the one found in the kodesh (holy) scriptures.

1 Kings 12:32

And Jeroboam performed a FESTIVAL on the FIFTEENTH DAY OF THE EIGHTH MONTH, LIKE THE FESTIVAL THAT WAS IN JUDAH (SUKKOT)FEAST OF TABERNACLES…”

Leviticus 23:34:

'Speak to the children of Yisra’el saying, 'On the FIFTEENTH DAY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH IS THE FESTIVAL OF SUKKOT/Chag HaSukot (Feast of Tabernacles) begins, and it lasts for seven days.

Abraham was the first to celebrate it

Jubilees 16:20-31

And he built BOOTHS for himself and for his servants on this Festival, and he was the FIRST to celebrate the FESTIVAL OF SUKKOT on the earth. Verse 25-31 “And he blessed his Creator who had created him in his generation, for He had created him according to His good pleasure; for He knew and perceived that from him would arise the Branch of Righteousness (YESHUA) for the everlasting generations, and from him a HOLY SEED, so that it should become like Him who had made all matters (YAHWEH). And he blessed and REJOICED, and he called the name of this Festival the Festival of YAHWEH, a joy acceptable to the Most High El. And we blessed him forever, and all his seed after him throughout all the generations of the earth, because he celebrated this Festival in its season, according to the witness of the tablets of the heavens. For this reason it is ordained on the tablets of the heavens concerning Yisra’el, that they SHOULD CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF SUKKOT SEVEN DAYS WITH JOY (Leviticus 23:40 REJOICE), in the seventh month, acceptable before YAHWEH-a Law FOREVER, throughout their generations every year. And to this there is NO LIMIT OF DAYS; for it is ordained FOREVER regarding Yisra’el that they should celebrate it and DWELL IN BOOTHS, and put wreaths upon their heads, and take leafy branches, and willows of the stream. And Abraham took branches of palm trees, and the fruit of good trees, and every day going round the altar with the branches seven times in the morning, he praised and gave thanks to his ELOHIM for all matters in JOY.”

That is exactly what YAHWEH commands in Leviticus 23:39-42:

On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and REJOICE before YAHWEH your ELOHIM for seven days. Celebrate this as a festival to YAHWEH for seven days each year-a LAW forever in your generations; celebrate it in the seventh month. Live in booths for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in booths so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt. I am YAHWEH your ELOHIM.”

For those concerned about the native-born passage we have to remember:

Exodus 12:48-49

And if any proselyte (Convert) comes to you to keep the Passover to YAHWEH, you shall circumcise every male of his and then he shall approach to sacrifice it and he shall be even as the ORIGINAL INHABITANT OF THE LAND, no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. There shall be ONE LAW to the native and to the proselyte (convert) coming on you.”

Ezekiel 47:22

And it shall be that you divide it by lot as an inheritance for yourselves, and for the strangers who sojourn in your midst and who bear children among you. And they shall be to you as NATIVE-BORN among the children of Yisra’el-with you they have an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Yisra’el.”

As I always point out, even though this scripture is about Passover it still applies that a gentile is grafted in just as the native-born Yisra’elite as an original inhabitant of the land; therefore; the same Torah command applies to everyone who says they are followers of YESHUA our Messiah. Once you have accepted YESHUA as your Messiah and Savior then you have become grafted in as ONE with the native-born Israelite; the Hebrew word is “Ger”, the gentile convert. So let us all get into the spirit of this beautiful feast to dwell in booths and rejoice before YAHWEH our Elohim as He commanded us. A few examples:

Isaiah 56:6

Also the sons of the foreigner (gentile/Christian) who JOIN themselves to YAHWEH, to serve Him, and to love the name of YAHWEH, to be His servants, ALL WHO GUARD MY SHABBATS, and not profane THEM, and hold fast to My Covenant.” The Feast of Tabernacles is a Shabbat that must be guarded by the gentile as well as native-born because we are ONE!

Numbers 15:15-16

One Law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you-a LAW FOREVER throughout your generations. AS YOU ARE, SO IS THE STRANGER BEFORE YAHWEH.”

This is very important because we see Abraham kept the commandments of the Torah and celebrated Sukkot, which ties in to what Paul says in:

Galatians 3:27-29

For as many of you as were immersed (baptized) into Messiah, have put on Messiah. There is not Jew nor Greek, there is not male and female, for you are all ONE in Messiah YESHUA. And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Abraham, and heirs according to promise.”

If we belong to YESHUA and we are the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise then are you doing as Abraham did? He kept Sukkot and the commandments and this is further confirmed in:

Genesis 26:5

“Because Abraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge: My Commands, My Laws, and My Torot (plural form of Torah).”

Sukkot details:

We are commanded to dwell in a Succah or booth/hut; which is a temporary dwelling topped with foliage, limbs, branches, and other materials to provide shade while living outdoors or even camping out in a tent.

YAHWEH commands us in Leviticus 23:34-44 saying:

'Speak to the children of Yisrael saying, 'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month is YAHWEH'S Festival of Sukkot/Chag HaSukot (Feast of Tabernacles) begins, and it lasts for seven days. The first day is a holy gathering; DO NO SERVILE WORK. For seven days present offerings made to YAHWEH by fire, and on the eighth day hold a holy gathering and present an offering made to YAHWEH by fire. It is a closing Festival, YOU DO NO SERVILE WORK.”

YAHWEH continues in verse 39 by saying: 'So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival to YAHWEH for seven days;
the first day is a day of rest (October 6th), and the eighth day also is a day of rest (October 13th).

There is definitely some significance attached to the palm trees while celebrating Sukkot which we see in Revelation those who overcome:

Revelation 7:9

And after these things, I looked, and lo, a great multitude which no one could number, from all kindreds and nations and tribes and tongues; who stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and PALMS in their hands.”

More on Sukkot:

Mathew 17:1-4

And after six days YESHUA took Peter, and James, and John his brother, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves, and He was transformed before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as the light. And see, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. And Peter answering, said to YESHUA, “My Master, it is good for us to be here. If You want, let us make here three booths: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

As we see Peter knew the importance of the booth/tabernacle/succah to build for all three of them and remember Elijah was not a native-born Israelite, he was a Tishbite which usually translates as stranger or sojourner. Elijah was special and was a servant of YAHWEH and one of two men who ascended to heaven; and we see Peter did not exclude him from having a booth.

Numbers 29:12-32

And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you have a holy gathering, you do NO SERVILE WORK. And you shall celebrate a Festival to YAHWEH seven days, and you shall bring near a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a SWEET FRAGRANCE to YAHWEH: thirteen young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs a year old, perfect ones they are, and their grain offering: fine flour mixed with oil, three-tenth parts for each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenth parts for each of the two rams, and one-tenth part for each of the fourteen lambs, and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering. (The number of bulls decrease by “one” each day) verse 32 Then on the seventh day: seven bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs a year old, perfect ones…”

YESHUA is the Lamb of YAHWEH who takes away the sins of the world and offered Himself with His blood and not the blood of bulls and goats. It is important to see what YESHUA’s blood did for us that we do not have to do for atonement today. YESHUA fulfills the animal offerings for us with His blood and the sweet fragrance that YAHWEH mentions:

Ephesians 5:2

And walk in love, as Mashiach (Messiah) also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to YAHWEH for a SWEET-SMELLING FRAGRANCE.”

Hosea 12:9

But I am YAHWEH your ELOHIM since the land of Egypt, again I shall make you dwell in tents as in the days of the Appointed Time.”

Genesis 33:17

And Jacob departed to Sukkoth (Sukkot), and built himself a house, and made BOOTHS for his livestock. That is why the name of the place is called Sukkoth.”

How are we to celebrate this Feast?

We can look to how the Israelites celebrated Sukkot the Feast of Tabernacles in the days of Nehemiah when they returned from Babylonian exile.

Nehemiah 8:13-18 says:

"On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the scribe, in order to study the words of the Torah. And they found written in the Torah, which YAHWEH had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to live in booths during the feast of the SEVENTH month and that they should proclaim this word and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem: "Go out into the hill country and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, and myrtle branches, and palm branches and branches of leafy trees to make booths"-as it is written.

So the people went out and brought back branches and built themselves booths on their own roofs, in their courtyards, in the courts of the house of ELOHIM and in the square by the Water Gate and the one by the Gate of Ephraim, the whole company that had returned from exile built booths and LIVED in them. From the days of Joshua son on Nun until that day, the Israelites celebrated it like this. And there was very great rejoicing (as commanded). And day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read from the Book of the Torah of ELOHIM. And they performed the Festival seven days. And on the eighth day there was an assembly, according to the Right-Ruling.”

So we see that Abraham and those who came back from Babylonian exile followed the exact came command of Leviticus 23 which is to REJOICE, DWELL IN BOOTHS FOR 7 DAYS, AND TAKE PALM BRANCHES, LEAFY BRANCHES, WILLOWS OF THE STEAM AND BLESS YAHWEH. This is the perfect time to make a huge feast or cookout and eat and rejoice!

Is the Sukkot/Chag HaSukot: The Feast of Tabernacles important?

Yes! Look at Zechariah 14:16-19 which says:

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, YAHWEH Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot/Chag HaSukot (Feast of Tabernacles). If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, YAHWEH Almighty, they will have no rain. If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. YAHWEH will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate The Festival Sukkot the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate Chag HaSukot (Feast of Tabernacles.)”

As we discussed in a prior video titled “Are we rehearsing on earth for what is to come?” We saw that everything we do on earth is a dress rehearsal for the finale and that believers have twisted what Paul was really saying in Colossians 2:16-17! Let no man judge you for KNOWING THE TRUTH! So we see that when YESHUA comes to reign for 1,000 years on the earth that ALL NATIONS including the Egyptian will have to come up to Jerusalem to celebrate The Festival of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) or have no rain. This points exactly to what Paul was saying about the Festivals being “a prophetic shadow of what is to come.” If the entire world will have to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles when YESHUA returns, then how is the law done away with? Or if the law just for the Jews, then why do the ALL NATIONS including the Egyptians having to celebrate it? We know the Egyptians are not native born Israelites/Jews.

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and PITCHED HIS TENT among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favor, and truth.”

Just like when you go camping, you have to pitch a tent to dwell in just like we have to pitch a tent/booth/succah to dwell in during Sukkot the Feast of Tabernacles. So we can see the symbolism and importance of this celebration.

Enoch 1:3-4

“Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them, “The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling, and the eternal ELOHIM will tread upon the earth, on Mount Sinai, and appear from His CAMP and appear in the strength of His might from the heavens of heavens.”

Again we see the word CAMP that YESHUA will be appearing from, the Scriptures are consistent on this truth.

Revelation 21:3

And I heard a loud voice from the heavens saying, “See, the BOOTH OF ELOHIM is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and ELOHIM Himself shall be with them and be their ELOHIM.”

Numbers 1:52

And the children of Yisra’el shall PITCH THEIR TENTS, everyone by his own CAMP, everyone by his own banner, according to their divisions.”

The Feast of Tabernacles is a foreshadow of YESHUA coming to pitch His tent with us and dwell with us! He will be our ELOHIM and we will be His people. So let us make every effort to be obedient and rejoice to the King for seven days, dwell in tents/booths and not working on the first and eighth day, HalleluYAH!

As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Yom Kippur Instructions 2021: The Day of Atonement!

The second of the Fall Appointed Times (Moedim) commanded by YAHWEH is Yom Kippur on October 1st which means it begins on September 30th at sundown to October 1st sundown which is the 10th day of the 7th month in YAHWEH’S eyes and is the Holiest (Kodesh) Day of the year, Yom ha’kippurim (Yom Kippur) The Day of Atonement. Make sure you do NO WORK on this day as it is a Shabbat Shabbaton a day for complete stopping and ceasing from all activity just as the weekly 7th Day Shabbat is a Shabbat Shabbaton. We will be discussing what Yom Kippur is, how we observe Yom Kippur, what is involved in a fast, YESHUA is our High Priest.

The Book of Jubilees shows us why and when Yom Kippur was instituted:

Jubilees 34:12-18

And the sons of Jacob slaughtered a kid, and dipped the coat of Joseph in blood, and sent it to Jacob their dad on the TENTH DAY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH (YOM KIPPUR). And he mourned all that night, for they had brought it to him in the evening (Leviticus 23:32 evening to evening), and he became feverish with mourning for his death, and he said, “And evil beast has devoured Joseph; and all the members of his house were grieving and mourning with him all that day. And his sons and his daughter rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted for his son. And on that day Bilhah heard that Joseph had perished, and she died mourning him, and she was living in Qafratef, and Dinah also, his daughter died after Joseph had perished. And these THREE MOURNINGS came upon Yisra’el in one month. And they buried Bilhah over against the tomb of Rachel, and Dinah, his daughter, they also buried there. And he mourned for Joseph for one year, and did not cease, for he said, “Let me go down to the grave mourning for my son.” For this reason it is ordained for the children of Yisra’el that they should afflict themselves on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the day that the news which made him weep for Joseph came to Jacob his dad, that they should make atonement for themselves with a young goat on the tenth day of the seventh month, once a year, for their sins; for they had grieved the affection of their dad regarding Joseph his son. And this day has been ordained that they should grieve for their sins, and for all their transgressions and for all their errors, so that they might cleanse themselves on that day once a year.”

YAHWEH commands us in Leviticus 23:26-32 saying:

"The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom ha'Kippurim (ha-kee-pur-eem) the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present an offering made to YAHWEH by fire. DO NO WORK ON THAT DAY, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before YAHWEH your ELOHIM. Anyone who does NOT deny himself on that day must be cut off from his people. I will destroy (karat) (pronounced ka-rot) from among his people anyone who does any work on that day. You shall DO NO WORK AT ALL. This is to be a LAW for the generations to come, wherever you live. It is a SHABBAT (Shabbat Shabbaton) complete rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your SHABBAT."

Leviticus 16:29-34

And this shall be for you a Law FOREVER: in the seventh month, on the TENTH DAY of the month, you afflict your beings, and do no work, the native or the stranger who sojourns among you (gentiles/Christians). For on that day he makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before YAHWEH. It is a SHABBAT OF REST (Shabbat Shabbaton) for you, and you shall afflict your beings-a LAW FOREVER. Verse 34 And this shall be for you a LAW FOREVER, to make atonement for the children of Yisra’el, for all their sins, once a year.”

Numbers 29:7-11

And on the TENTH of this seventh month you have a holy gathering, and you shall afflict your beings, YOU DO NOT WORK. And you shall bring near a burnt offering to YAHWEH, a SWEET FRAGRANCE: one young bull, one ram, seven lambs a year old, perfect ones they are for you, and their grain offering: fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenth parts for the bull, two-tenth parts for the one ram, one-tenth part for each of the seven lambs, one male goat as a sin offering, besides the sin offering for atonement, the continual burnt offering with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.”

YESHUA is the Lamb of YAHWEH who takes away the sins of the world and offered Himself with His blood and not the blood of bulls and goats. It is important to see what YESHUA’s blood did for us, that we do not have to do it for atonement today. YESHUA fulfills the animal offerings for us with His blood and the IS sweet fragrance that YAHWEH mentions that comes from the burnt offering:

Ephesians 5:2

And walk in love, as Mashiach (Messiah) also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to YHWH for a SWEET-SMELLING FRAGRANCE.”

So we see that we are to do no work, have a holy gathering, grieve over our sins,  to completely afflict our souls and deny ourselves, which means at least a 24 hour fast of no food or water. We can deny ourselves through fasting because we need food and water to live and in doing so we are denying our being for the day

Anah (ah-nah) - means to bow down or afflict
Nefesh (neh-fesh)-soul or yourself

Example in Psalms 35:13
"I humbled my being (soul) with fasting" I anah my nefesh with fasting.

The same applies for Isaiah 58:3
"Why have we fasted, and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our beings (anah our nefesh), and You took no note?"

2 Chronicles 20:3-4

“And Yehoshapat was afraid, and turned his face to seek YAHWEH, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered to inquire of YAHWEH, even from all the cities of Judah they came to seek YAHWEH.”

What is involved in a fast?

We firstly deny ourselves by not eating any food or drinking any water, must turn away from our own desires/pleasures and to completely seek YAHWEH’s face and not oppressing others in order to be heard and present an acceptable fast before the face of YAHWEH. Humble yourselves before Him and do justice where there is injustice.

Isaiah 58:2-4

They seek Me day by day and desire to know My ways, as a people that have done righteousness and have not forsaken judgment of their ELOHIM; they now ask from Me righteous judgment and desire to draw near to ELOHIM, saying Why have we fasted and you have not regarded? Why have we afflicted (anah) our nefesh (souls) and you did not know it? No in the days of your fasts YOU FIND YOUR PLEASURES AND ALL THOSE WHO ARE UNDER YOUR POWER YOU WOUND. If you fast for quarrels and strife and strike the lowly with your fists, why do you fast to Me as you do this day, so that your voice may be heard in crying?”

Before we delve into some of the details about Yom Kippur, that it was a day of fasting  as contained within the Dead Sea Scrolls: The Solar calendar is also confirmed in Habakkuk and a hymn found in the dead scrolls.

YOM    KIPPUR IN   THE QUMRAN SCROLLS AND SECOND TEMPLE SOURCES JOSEPH    M.   BAUMGARTEN Baltimore  Hebrew University:

One   of  the sharp clashes    between    the Qumran community and   the Temple    priesthood was   the   confrontation between the Wicked    Priest (Pharisees and Sadducees) and   the Righteous

The priesthood was corrupt and many of the priests were not even Levites as YAHWEH commanded which is why Joseph Baumgarten mentions the “wicked priest” from the righteous priest. Proof of this is found in 2 Maccabees 4 that the position of high priest was being sold to the highest bidder, making them illegitimate priests. Back to the article:

Teacher on   Yom Kippur: Woe to him who causes his neighbors to drink, who pours out his venom to make them drunk  that  he may gaze on  their feasts (Habakkuk 2:15). This  concerns  the Wicked Priest (Sadducees/Pharisees) who pursued the Righteous Teacher to overwhelm him in the fury of his wrath at his house of exile. And at the time appointed for rest, on the Day of  Atonement he  made his appearance before them to  overwhelm them and  to cause them to stumble on the fast day, the sabbath of their rest. (lQpHab 11:4-8) As   scholars have noted, this   confrontation occurred    on   the day when the   followers     of   the   Teacher    were observing the solemn fast  of  Yom Kippur according to  their   schematic     SOLAR   calendar (Zadok Priestly Calendar). It apparently was not   the day when    the   Wicked Priest, presumably a high   priest, was himself occupied with   the performance of  the   Yom Kippur rites   in  the Temple. The description of   this incident     thus served    as one   of   the early clues   about the  calendar schism (split or division between strongly opposed sections or parties, caused by differences in opinion or belief)   that separated the  sect (Essenses)  from   con- temporary    Jewry.'

As  a  result of this   schism   all  of the  biblical festivals    were regularly observed by the Qumran community on days that   differed    from   those kept by contemporary Jews. (As we see today with the Solar Zadok Preistly Calendar versus the Lunar Calendar).   The phraseology of the Habakkuk lemma, 11'Q'? "in   order to gaze at their   feasts"    would there- fore   lend   itself   to being   applied to any or  all   of  the holidays affected by this   schism. Yet, the   clash   described    in  the pesher occurred partic- ularly on   the   sect's    Yom Kippur. It  is  reasonable     to suppose that   this may have   had something to  do with   the   central place of Yom Kippur in contemporary Judaism, but   the pesher, aside from stressing the I See  S. Talmon, "Yom Hakkippurim in  the  Habakkuk Scroll," Bib  32 (1951) 549-63.

mandated     FAST   and   REST   on   Yom Kippur does not provide any further elaboration. Fortunately, we  have  in  the Hodayot a hymn, possibly attributable    to the Teacher, that   contains    an   allusion    to   the confrontation described in  the pesher.

“I thank you, YAHWEH, for you have illuminated my face through your covenant ... They [the opponents] mislead your  people  by  smoothing them with  words. Preachers of deceit cause them to stray so that they grope without understanding, their deeds are in folly ("1i1J) and despicable ... for they have driven me from my land  as  a  bird  from its nest ... they plot  wickedly against me  to exchange your Torah which you inculcated in my heart for smooth things (to deceive) your people. They withhold the  drink  of knowledge from  the thirsty, but  cause  the thirsty to  drink vinegar in  order to gaze at their  error' to deport themselves foolishly on  their festivals and  to  be caught in their snares. (1QH  12:5-12). “

The   author    of the hymn describes    himself    as  an  exile driven from   his land, just as  the pesher refers   to  the  Teacher    as being in his  "house of exile."    His opponents are  accused    of giving the thirsty   vinegar to  drink in  order   to gaze   upon them as they   deport themselves     in  an unseemly way at  the  time   of  the  festivals. This   is  an  almost   verbatim paraphrase of   Habakkuk 2:15, the   lemma    on   which the pesher account     of   the   Yom Kippur incident    is   based:    "Woe    to   him who    causes    his neighbor to drink; who pours out  his  venom   to  make   them drunk, that   he may   gaze on   their   feasts." The references in   the hymn to "smoothing" and "smooth things" point to  the identification of  the   Teacher's opponents with the "seekers     of   smooth things," the epithet used in the pesharim for   the Pharisees.    The   latter   are apparently charged with misleading the people by  encouraging them   to  desecrate    the somber spirit of penitence (showing sorrow and regret for doing wrong) of  Yom Kippur with   their folly The paradoxical aspect of   Yom Kippur as   a day of fasting and purging of  sin  as  well as  a day of joyous renewal has   its  roots   in bib- lical antiquity..IJn cf. 4Q513 4 4. 3 See J. Milgrom, Leviticus I -16 (AB 3; New York: Doubleday, 1991) 1066.

So, it was understood in the Dead Sea Scrolls community that fasting was a part of afflicting your soul on Yom Kippur.  Next, I would like to cover some examples of what is required during a fast which include weeping, mourning, and fasting, I also would recommend laying in sackcloth as they did in ancient Yisra’el and even putting dust or ashes on our heads to completely humble ourselves. You can get dirt outside or even use ashes from the grill. What is sackcloth? A very coarse, rough fabric woven from flax, hemp, or jute vegetable fibers.

Joel (Yo’el) 2:12

“Yet even now,” declares YAHWEH, “turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.

2 Chronicles 34:27

“Because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before ELOHIM when you heard His words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your garments and wept before Me, I also have heard,” declares YAHWEH.”

2 Baruch 9:1

And I, Baruch, came and Jeremiah, whose heart was found pure of sins, who had not been captured during the seizing of the city. We tore our garments and wept, and  mourned, and FASTED seven days.”

Esther 4:15-16

“And Esther commanded to reply to Mordekai, “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me, and DO NOT EAT OR DRINK for three days, night or day. I too, and my young women shall fast in the same way, then I shall go to the king, which is against the law. And if I shall perish, I shall perish!”

As we know their prayers were answered because they did not perish and Esther was able to enter the presence of the king with him sticking out his scepter for her to touch. They humbled and afflicted their souls for 3 days with no food or drink.

Additions to Esther 14:1 (Apocrypha, 1611 King James)

Queen Esther also, being in fear of death, came to YAHWEH, and laid aside her splendid apparel, and put on garments of anguish and mourning (Sackcloth). And instead of precious ointments, she covered her head with ASHES and dung, and she humbled her body greatly, and all the places of her joy she filled with her torn hair.”

Jeremiah 4:8

For these things gird yourselves with SACKCLOTH and lament and howl: for the anger of YAHWEH is not turned away from you.”

2 Maccabees 13:10-12

When Judah learned of this, he commanded the multitude to call on YAHWEH night and day that He would help them now if ever at any other time, being at the point of being removed their Law, from their country and from the holy Temple; and that He would not allow the people that had only just now been a little refreshed, to be in subjection to the blasphemous nations. So when they had all done this together and pleaded for the kindness of ELOHIM with WEEPING AND FASTING and LYING FLAT upon the ground for THREE DAYS (Like Esther 4:15-16), Judah, having encouraged them, commanded they should make themselves ready.”

Job 16:15

I sewed SACKCLOTH over my skin, and laid my horn in the dust.”

1 Maccabees 3:46-47

Therefore the Yisra’elites assembled themselves together, and came to Mitspah, opposite Jerusalem; for in Mitspah was the place where they previously prayed in Yisra’el. Then they fasted that day, and put on SACKCLOTH, and threw on ashes on their heads, and tore their garments.”

Judith 4:9-15

Then every man of Yisra’el cried to ELOHIM with great ardour, and they humbled their beings with great fervency; both they and their wives and their children and their cattle and every stranger and hired man and their servants bought with money, and put SACKCLOTH upon their loins. So every man and woman and the little children and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, fell before the Temple, and threw ASHES upon their heads, and spread out their SACKCLOTH before the face of YAHWEH; they also put sackcloth around the altar, and cried to the ELOHIM of Yisra’el all with one accord earnestly, that He would not give their children as prey and their wives as spoil and the cities of their inheritance to destruction and the Holy Place to defilement and reproach, and for the nations to rejoice at. So ELOHIM heard their prayers and looked upon their afflictions; FOR THE PEOPLE FASTED MANY DAYS in all Judah and Jerusalem before the Holy Place of YAHWEH ELOHIM.”

Job 42:6

Therefore I recant and repent in dust and ashes.”

Lamentations 2:10

The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground, are silent. They have thrown DUST on their heads, they have girded themselves with SACKCLOTH.”

 1 Kings 21:27

And it came to be, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his garments and put SACKLOTH on his body, and fasted and lay in SACKCLOTH, and went softly.”

1 Chronicles 21:16

And David lifted his eyes and saw the messenger of YAHWEH standing between earth and the heavens, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. And David and the elders, wrapped in SACKCLOTH, fell on their faces.”

Nehemiah 9:1

And on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Yisra’el were assembled with FASTING, AND IN SACKCLOTH, and with earth (dust) on them.”

Mathew 11:21

Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Beyth Tsaida! Because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tsor and Tsidon, they would have REPENTED long ago in SACKCLOTH AND ASHES.”

Jonah 3:4-5

And Jonah began to go in to the city on the first day’s walk. And he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown! And the men of Nineveh believed in ELOHIM, and proclaimed A FAST, AND PUT ON SACKCLOTH, from the greatest to the least of them.”

2 Maccabees 10:25-26

But when he drew near, those that were with Maccabee turned to pray to ELOHIM, and threw DUST on their heads and girded their lions with SACKCLOTH.”

YESHUA is now our High Priest

Most importantly surrounding Yom ha’kippurim is our Messiah YESHUA and how everything points to Him. In ancient times the high priest (kohen ha’gadol) would enter into the Tent of Meeting once a year, behind the veil, into the holy of holies and make atonement for himself, his household, and for the assembly of Yisra’el. He would sprinkle blood on the mercy seat that sat above the Ark of the Covenant (Leviticus 16:14-17). Then the high priest would confess the sins, transgressions, and wickedness of Yisra’el onto the forehead of Azazel (scapegoat) and a fit man would send him into the wilderness with the sins and that goat himself would bear the wickedness of the people. I thought it was interesting to note a connection with the scapegoat bearing the sins himself as YESHUA did for us:

Exodus 12:5

Let the LAMB be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats.

Leviticus 16:22

And the goat shall bear on ITSELF ALL THEIR WICKEDNESS, to a land cut off. Thus he shall send the goat away into the wilderness.”

Isaiah 53:6

Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him stricken, smitten by ELOHIM, and afflicted. But He was pierced for transgressions, He was crushed for our WICKEDNESSES. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. We all, like sheep, went astray; each one of us has turned to his own way. And YHWH has laid on HIM THE WICKEDNESS OF US ALL.” The Lamb of YAHWEH that can be taken from the sheep or the goats.

It is just a constant reminder of how everything was a foreshadow of YESHUA being the perfect sacrificial lamb; just like the blood of the perfect lamb spared the children of Yisra’el in Egypt and YAHWEH “Passed Over them” and protected them is the same way the perfect blood of the Lamb of YESHUA saves us and sin and death “Pass Over us”.

YESHUA The High Priest

While atonement was being made; the high priest did all the work and the community of Yisra’el did not need to do anything. YESHUA is High Priest and King in the order of Melech-Tzedek because he was the only other king/priest in scripture:

Genesis 14:18

And Melech-Tzedek king of Salem brought out loaves and wine and he was the PRIEST of Elyon ELOHIM.”

Testament of Levi 8:14

And the third will be called a renewed name, because  KING will arise from Judah, and will establish a NEW PRIESTHOOD, after the fashion of the nations to all the nations. And His presence is beloved, as a prophet of the Most High, of the seed of Abraham.”

Clearly, YESHUA is KING, PRIEST, PROPHET, and everything in one! And outside of Melech-Tzedek there was no other king priest because these are always two separate offices in scripture.

This was a shadow of what was to come with YESHUA who would be the final atonement for us all because He has already done all the work for atonement! We don’t have a human high priest sacrificing animals anymore, plus there is not a Temple in Jerusalem even if anyone wanted to do sacrifices. YESHUA is our High Priest and unlike the human priests He does not have to make a sacrifice for His own sins because He is sinless and He makes continual intercessions for us because unlike humans He does not die, which makes Him a permanent High Priest forever.

Hebrews 7:26-27

For it was fitting that we should have such a Kohen ha’Gadol (High Priest)-kind, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens, who does not need, as those high priests, to offer up slaughter offerings day by day, first for His own sins and then for those of the people, for this HE did ONCE FOR ALL when He offered up Himself.”

Why is YESHUA from Judah and not tribe of Levi?

Numbers 3:5-12

And YAHWEH spoke to Moses saying, take the tribe Levi and you shall set them before Aaron the priest and they shall minister to him and shall keep his charges and the charges of the children of Yisra’el before the tabernacle of witness, to do the works of the tabernacle. And they shall keep all the furniture of the tabernacle of witness and the charges of the children of Yisra’el as to all the works of the tabernacle. And you shall give the Levi to Aaron and to his sons and priests; they are given as a gift to me from the children of Yisra’el. And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons over the tabernacle of witness; and they shall keep their charge of priesthood and all things belonging to the altar and within the veil; and the stranger that touches them shall die.”

Jubilees 30:18

And the seed of Levi was chosen for the priesthood, and to be Levites, that they might minister before YAHWEH (Mashereti Eloheinu is minister of ELOHIM), as we (angels) do, continually, and that Levi and his sons may be blessed forever…”

Jubilees 32:9

And Levi served as priest at Beth-El before Jacob his dad apart from his ten brothers, and he was a priest there, and Jacob gave his vow.”

Testament of Levi 5:1-2

And the messenger opened the gates of heaven to me, and I saw the holy Temple, and the Most High sitting upon a throne of esteem. And He said to me, “Levi, I have given you the blessings of the priesthood UNTIL I COME AND SOJOURN IN THE MIDST OF YISRA’EL.” That is a prophecy of YESHUA  becoming High Priest and the New Priesthood which is spoken about in Testament of Levi 8:

Testament of Levi 8:14

And the third will be called a renewed name, because  KING will arise from Judah, and will establish a NEW PRIESTHOOD, after the fashion of the nations to all the nations. And His presence is beloved, as a prophet of the Most High, of the seed of Abraham.”

Many are confused when it comes to the Book of Hebrews and they feel like the entire law changed. All that changed was the Levitical priesthood from the Levites who were humans that died and sinned to YESHUA from the Tribe of Judah who is sinless and does not die. Aaron and his sons were born into the priesthood by bodily descent, but that had to change in order for YESHUA to fulfill that role for us. In no way is the Torah done away with.

 Micah 5:2

But you, Beyth Lehem Ephrathah, you who are little among the clans of JUDAH,, out of you shall come forth to Me the One to become Ruler in Yisra’el. And His comings forth are old, from everlasting.

 1 Chronicles 28:4

Yet YAHWEH Elohim of Yisra’el chose me above all the house of my father to be sovereign over Yisra’el forever, for He has chosen JUDAH TO BE THE RULER.”

People when then point to Hebrews 8:7 and verse 13 to say the law is done away with:

For if that first had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.” Verse 13 “By saying ‘renewed,’ He has made the first old. Now what becomes old and growing aged is near disappearing.”

YAHWEH has chosen Judah to be The Ruler out of all the 12 Tribes which is why YESHUA came from Judah and not the Tribe of Levi a tribe that Moses never spoke of concerning the altar. Remember YESHUA was born a Jew (Yehudi) and died King of The Jews (Yehudim). Which is also why there was the change of The Levitical Priesthood, because YESHUA became our High Priest (Kohen ha’Gadol) in the order of Melech-Tzedek the only other king priest of Salem which I explained above. So the law was never done away with it was just a change in Priesthood. YESHUA is the Mediator of the New Covenant, He doesn’t have to make continual sacrifices for His sin because He was sinless, and unlike human high priest YESHUA doesn’t die that’s why the first became old and was renewed, not done away with. (Hebrews 7:27).

Hebrews 7:13-15

For He of whom this is said belongs to another tribe, from which no one had attended at the altar. For it is perfectly clear that our Master arose from Judah, a tribe about which Moses never spoke of concerning the priesthood, and this is clearer still, if another Priest arises in the likeness of Melech-Tzedek.”

As we see the Priests from the tribe of Levi are the ones who attended at the altar, but YESHUA rose from another tribe which was Judah, which makes His atonement so crucial because the Levites served many functions in the House of YHWH.

YESHUA can relate with humanity

He is ELOHIM The Son yet completely human having come in the flesh and was tempted in every way just as we are, but yet was without sin.

Hebrews 4:15-16

For we do not have a Kohen ha’Gadol (High Priest) unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin. Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of favor, in order to receive compassion, and find favor for timely help.”

1 John 2:1-2 says:

"My little children, I write this to you, so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, YESHUA HA’MASHIACH, a righteous One. And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world.”

YESHUA being ELOHIM the Son gave up His authority as King and humbled Himself to die for us. That is love and we need to follow that example by giving up ourselves and denying our existence and follow our Master YESHUA's example. Yom Kippur teaches us to die to self, deny ourselves, afflict our souls, weep, mourn and live for Him.

As we remember to deny, humble, and afflict ourselves during Yom ha’Kippurim let us use YESHUA our Messiah as the perfect example of how He completely denied His own existence for our sake when He said in

Mathew 26:39

"My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."

YESHUA died so that we may live and freed us from the law of sin and death, by breaking the chains of Satan so that we do not have to suffer eternal torment! YAHWEH poured out His wrath upon His Son so that we do not have to face what we are deserving of. We have been redeemed by His blood, so let us put our lives and fleshy desires to the side and do our Father YAHWEH's will and be obedient in our walk with YESHUA, HalleluYAH!

1 John 4:9-10:

"By this the love of YAHWEH was manifested in us, that YAHWEH has sent His only brought-forth Son into the world, in order that we might live through Him. In this love, not that we loved YAHWEH, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning offering for our sins."

As always, may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Yom Teruah (Trumpets) Instructions 2021!

We are now entering the season of all the Fall Moedim (Mo-ed-deem) which means Appointed times, which are Feasts/Fasts that YAHWEH ELOHIM commanded us to observe each year.

September 22nd is Yom Teruah (Evening of September 21st to evening of 22nd).

Teruah (Teh-roo-ah) in Hebrew is defined in Strong’s #8643 as:

A shout or blast of war, alarm, joy, battle cry, blowing, blowing trumpets, joyful sound, resounding, shout, shout of alarm, shout of joy, shouted, shouting, shouts of joy, signal,  or trumpet blast.

As mentioned above the first Holy Day is Yom Teruah/Trumpets which means “The Day of Shouting” is on September 22nd which is equivalent to the 1st day of the 7th month in YAHWEH’s eyes on the Zadok Priestly Calendar found in Enoch, Jubilees, and the Aramaic Levi Document. Judaism calls this day “Rosh Hashanah” which means “Head of the year” or the “Jewish New Year” and this is false! Our New Year began in the spring during Passover when things are renewed and coming back to life, not in the fall when things like the leaves of the trees are starting to die. Judaism does things backwards most of the time and we need to flee from these man-made traditions aka the “tradition of the elders.”

Rosh Hashanah has ties to paganism that was learned in Babylonian exile and was started to be practiced amongst some in the 2nd Temple period. The Babylonians took their New Year’s Day celebrations seriously and called them Akitu and Resh Shattiim, which is the Akkadian form of the Hebrew Rosh Hashanah, and Rosh Hashanah is found nowhere in scripture because they borrowed it from pagans.

Exodus 12:1-2

And YAHWEH spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying. This month (Abib) shall be to you the BEGINNING OF MONTHS: It is the FIRST to you among the months of the year.”

So again, spring is the beginning of the year for us when Passover was instituted and not Rosh Hoshana in the fall. That is why we should stick to what the day is called in scripture which is Yom Teruah and not Rosh Hashana.

The Scriptural Command:

YAHWEH commands us in Leviticus 23:23-24 saying:

"Speak to the children of Yisra’el, saying, 'In the SEVENTH MONTH (Ethanim), on the FIRST DAY of the month, you have a REST, a REMEMBRANCE OF BLOWING THE TRUMPETS, a holy gathering.” You DO NO SERVILE WORK, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YAHWEH.”

Numbers 10:10

And in the day of your gladness, and in your Appointed Times, and at the BEGINNING OF YOUR MONTHS, you shall BLOW THE TRUMPETS, over your burnt offerings and over your peace offerings. And they shall be a remembrance for you before your ELOHIM. I am YAHWEH your ELOHIM.’

Psalms 81:3

Blow the SHOFAR (RAM’S HORN #H7782) at the New Month in the glorious day of your feast.”

This makes a lot of sense because Yom Teruah is on 1st day of the month which is the beginning of the 7th month AND it’s an Appointed Time and we will be blowing trumpets/shofars, which matches what YAHWEH said in Numbers 10:10 and Psalms 83, it’s a double celebration of blowing the shofar for the beginning of the month and again for it being Yom Teruah which falls on the beginning of the month.

So, we are commanded not to work, to have a holy gathering, and to blow the trumpets/shofar on this day. We are allowed to prepare food for the celebration and that is all you may do, being that it is a High-Shabbat and not a Shabbat Shabbaton such as the weekly 7th Day Sabbath or Yom Kippur which is a fasting day. Similarly, to how cooking is all we can do on Feast of Unleavened Bread which occurs after Passover which is a High-Shabbat.

Nehemiah 8:1-3

And the SEVENTH MONTH arrived and the children of Yisra’el were settled in their cities; and all the people were gathered as one man to the broad place before the water gate and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the Torah of Moses, which YAHWEH commanded Yisra’el. So, Ezra the priest brought the Torah before the congregation both of men and women and everyone who had understanding was present to listen on the FIRST DAY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH (YOM TERUAH). And he read in it from the time of sunrise to the middle of the day before the men and the women; and they understood it and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Torah.”

Jubilees 31:3

And he (Jacob) went up on the FIRST of the SEVENTH MONTH to Beth-El. And he built an altar at the place where he had slept (Genesis 28), and he set up a pillar there, and he sent word to his dad Isaac to come to him to his slaughtering, and to his mother Rebecca.”

Jacob sets up altar on 1st day of 7th month, that he swore to do in Genesis 28 when YAHWEH appeared to him when he fled from Esaw and was on his way down to Laban’s house.

Numbers 29:1-6

And in the SEVENTH, on the FIRST of the month, you have a holy gathering, YOU DO NO SERVILE WORK, it is a Yom Teruah for you. And you shall prepare a burnt offering as a sweet fragrance to YAHWEH: one young bull, one ram, seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, and their grain offering: fine flour mixed with oil, three-tenth parts for the bull, two-tenth parts for the ram, and one-tenth part for each of the seven lambs, and one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you, besides the burnt offering with its grain offering for the New Month, the continual burnt offering with its grain offering, and their drink offerings, according to their Right-Ruling, as a SWEET FRAGRANCE, an offering made by fire to YAHWEH.”

YESHUA is the Lamb of YAHWEH who takes away the sins of the world and offered Himself with His blood and not the blood of bulls and goats. It is important to see what YESHUA’s blood did for us and be thankful for this GIFT. YESHUA fulfills the animal offerings for us with His blood as He serves as High Priest in the heavens for us and His atonement is the sweet fragrance that YAHWEH mentions in Numbers 29:1-6 that is required on this day. Which connects to what Paul says:

Ephesians 5:2

And walk in love, as Mashiach (Messiah) also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to YAHWEH for a SWEET-SMELLING FRAGRANCE.”

We too need to offer up ourselves as a living sacrifice in our daily lives:

Romans 12:1

I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of ELOHIM, to present your bodies a LIVING OFFERING-holy, well-pleasing to ELOHIM-your reasonable worship.”

1 Peter 2:4-5

Drawing near to Him, a living Stone-rejected indeed by men, but chosen by YAHWEH and precious- you also, as living stones, are being built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up SPIRITUAL SLAUGHTER OFFERINGS acceptable to YAHWEH through YESHUA HA’MASHIACH.”

SHOUTING (TERUAH) ON THE DAY OF SHOUTING

As we defined in the introduction that Teruah means a shout or blast of war, alarm, joy, battle cry, blowing, blowing trumpets, joyful sound, resounding, shout, shout of alarm, shout of joy, shouted, shouting, shouts of joy, signal, or trumpet blast. The reason for shouting has a role in YAHWEH’s plan for His people and we some examples of this in scripture:

Joshua 6:5-6:

"And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the horn, all the people shall shout with TERUAH (a great shout); and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall go up every man straight before him."

1 Samuel 4:5-6 says:

"And when the ark of the Covenant of YAHWEH came into the camp, all of Yisra'el TERUAH (shouted) so loudly that the earth shook." And when the Philistines heard the noise of the Teruah, they said, 'What is the noise of this great Teruah in the camp of the Hebrews?"

Shofar/Trumpet blasts in scripture:

Isaiah 27:12-13

And it shall come to pass in that day that YAHWEH shall fence men off from the channel of the river as for as Egypt; but gather one by one the children of Yisra’el. And it shall come to pass in that day that they shall blow the great SHOFAR/RAM’S HORN (#H7782) and the lost ones in the land of Assyria shall come and the lost ones in Egypt and shall worship YAHWEH on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.”

Joshua 6:5-6:

"And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the SHOFAR/RAM’S HORN, and when you hear the sound of the horn…”

Judges 3:27

And it came to pass when Ehud came into the land of Yisra’el, that he BLEW THE SHOFAR/RAM’S HORN in mount Ephraim and the children of Yisrael came down with him from the mountain and he was before them.”

2 Chronicles 5:12-13

That all the psalm-singing Levi assigned to the sons of Asaf, to Heiman, to Yidutan and to his sons and to his brothers, of those who were clothed in linen garments, with cymbals and lutes (a plucked instrument related to a guitar) and harps, were standing before the altar and with them 120 priests blowing trumpets. And there was one voice in the trumpeting and in the psalm singing and in the loud utterance with one voice to give thanks and praise YAHWEH; for it is good, for His mercy endures forever…”

2 Chronicles 13:14-15

And Judah turned and saw the battle was both in front and behind them. Then they cried out to YAHWEH, and the priests sounded the TRUMPETS. And the men of Judah gave a shout. And it came to be as the men of Judah shouted, that ELOHIM smote Jeroboam and all Yisra’el before Abiyah and Judah

Nehemiah 4:18-20

As for the builders, each one had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the ram’s horn was beside me. And I said to the nobles, and to the deputy rulers, and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and large, and we are separated far from one another on the wall. In whatever place you hear the sound of the SHOFAR/RAM’S HORN, join us there. Our ELOHIM fights for us.”

Trumpet blasts when YESHUA returns:

We do not know the day or the hour of YESHUA’s return; however, I would just like to point out the connection with the trumpets when He does.

Mathew 24:31

And He shall send his angels with the GREAT TRUMPET, and they shall gather the chosen who are His from the four winds and from the ends of the heaven.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16 (includes both shouting and trumpet)

“Because the Master Himself shall come down from the heavens with a SHOUT, with voice of a chief messenger, and with the TRUMPET of ELOHIM, and the dead in MASHIACH shall rise first.”

Paul mentions both shouting and the blowing of the trumpet on the day YESHUA returns, and both of those elements are a part of our Yom Teruah celebration, HalleluYAH!

There are four primary types of shofar blasts:

1.     Tekiah- A long single blast (the sound of the King’s coronation.)

2.     Shevarim- Three short wail-like blasts (signifying repentance)

3.     Teruah-Nine staccato blasts of alarm (to awaken the soul)

4.     Tekiah ha-Galol- a great long blast (for as long as you can blow!)

Our Father YAHWEH has given us Kingdom behavior to act out on earth as it is in heaven, just as we see the shofar blast being heard on the mountain.

Exodus 19:16-17

And it came to pass on the third day as the morning drew near, there were voices and lightning and a dark cloud on Mount Sinai: the voice of the RAMS HORN/SHOFAR sounded loud and all the people in the camp trembled. And Moses led the people forth out of the camp to meet ELOHIM and they stood by under the camp.”

Let us SHOUT (TERUAH) and blow our trumpets/shofar on this day and make NOISE and give to YAHWEH. It’s the first moed (appointed time) of the fall AND it’s the first day of the first month, let us rejoice!

As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!
